Arrow Upholstery and Drapery

I called to get a quote on how much it would cost to get a couch reupholstered and the man on the phone was very rude, and asked strange questions that I didn’t see as relevant. I called the stone oak location. And this is how the conversation went.
«What if I told you it would cost 1500 dollars to reupholster the couch.» Mind you, he didn’t really know anything about the couch.
I said «I’m not sure, the couches were hand me downs.»
And his reply was «call me back when I can be of service.» And the hung up. So very rude.

Overall I am pleased with the end product that Arrow provided to us. We reupholstered our sofa and two chairs and we got exactly what we asked for at a good price… the downside is that it came 16 days after it was advised that it would actually arrive (albeit the holiday season got in the way). I recommend you get the estimate in writing and have the estimate itemized for all work performed. The price would have been almost $ 1,000 higher (~30% difference) had we accepted the first offer which strikes me as strange. I do have to recommend their level of work and in the end they are good at what they do. So overall a positive recommendation but a couple of cautions are in order.

Gone are the days of choosing between two swatches for a room. Sure, the 1950’s were bland, but it didn’t require all these technical terms and thousands of designs to make your home «yours».
Arrow’s location at Stone Oak is a perfect place for the Stone Oak community. So many new homes have been built up in that region and no wonder Arrow’s does so well.
I, myself, am looking for windows and window treatments. I was dizzy after quickly looking through and while I believe their interior decorators have great smarts in this field, no one will choose my upholstery and drapery but my husband and me.
Regardless, I was impressed by all the options and looking at the website, I am fond of their business model, banking on over 50 years in San Antonio. That is amazing.
