This is one of the better Chinese restaurants in the area. And by better I mean the space is very open and has lots of natural light from all the windows surrounding the place. The food is also not greasy. The soups are light and not goopy in texture so they go down smooth. The entrees are plenty with the standard Chinese restaurant choices. Lemon chicken has nice light breading and sesame chicken is just right not too sweet not too spicy. The highlight are the eggrolls I can eat a whole dozen if it was socially acceptable to!

When it comes down to fast, fresh, High quality, great tasting, and great priced Chinese food, Bei Fang is the perfect spot! You can dine in, carry out, and for those near by(your in luck) they deliver! This is my go to favorite Chinese food spot. The service is exceptional, they are nice, caring, and very attentive. The food is always outstanding. If you decide to come during lunch hour, it might be a little chaotic since it tends to be jam pack. The location of the area is not the greatest since it’s by a very busy and fast road way and parking is a little awkward since its behind the facility, but for me it’s no problem the food is exceptional and the staff is awesome, that’s what really counts. My favorite dish; I tend to get their sweet and sour chicken: it’s very fresh, high quality chicken breast, fried to perfection, with a mixture of fresh green pepper And fresh pineapple(not canned). The sweet and sour sauce is Devine as well I always get there crab Rangoon: one word; OUTSTANDING Can’t leave without a wonton soup: exquisite! I highly recommend this restaurant!

The food was mediocre, one of my friend didn’t even take more than two bites because he disliked his meal that much. The green tea was very bland. The service was slow. Would not recommend it for the food. The location is a little annoying in regards to parking because it’s on the middle of two very busy streets.

They forget parts of your order and then say it wasn’t on your ticket not ordering from them again. Waste of time.

This place is a great quick place to get good quality low priced chinese food. I’ve never had an issue with the food or service. I just wish they were open on sundays!

Food: I got the general chicken dinner portion and the lo mein beef. The chicken was so good it was enough for 2. They use the dark meat and some pieces are a little crunchy. But the sauce is so good. It also came with a mountain of rice that could feed 3. The rice was the best I’ve had so far in SanAntonio. It also came with one egg roll I think beef too which was also very good. The lomein was a huge portion. I just wanted a side but they only have big«sides». It could feed 4 – 6 if you want it as a side. I got the beef and the beef is not the best. It feels a bit fake to me. And the lomein wasn’t that tasty but it still was good. The price was 18 $ and a bit pricy but all that I got at least 3 people could have ate and been full. So it’s not that bad. Service: they messed up on my order but fixed it in no time. They were supper nice!

I have loved this place for years and more than likely always will! I’ve always had the lemon chicken, but decided to switch it up by ordering the Mongolian beef from the lunch special and it was AMAZING! The portions are huge(I can only finish half) and the service is good. I went during lunch and recommend parking behind the restaurant to actually get a spot. Come give this place a try-you won’t regret it!

I’ve came here multiple times & I’m always satisfied. Awesome lunch specials! Great price for a huge portion. They are a bit understaffed & they could really redecorate but their food is great. One of my favorites in town.

People keep telling me that it’s impossible to get in this place for lunch due to the USAA crowd. NOTTRUE! We have been several times on different days of the week and we were served quickly. Yes, they were very busy, but we got a table for six in no time at all. They had a wide variety of plates for lunch specials, including my favorite, Kung Pao Chicken. It was served hot and fresh. This place is a keeper!

My husband and I went for lunch today and it was good. We both got the lemon chicken and hot and sour soup. Both very hot and flavorful. The service was ok and the prices were great for the amount of food you get. Give it a try!

I usually order for delivery and most of the time the food is fresh. Once in a great wild it’s not but over all it’s been good. I usually get the lemon chicken with the sweat and sour sauce. It’s better than their sweat and sour chicken. Try it! Alan is the owner and he usually delivers my food but if it’s not him it’s his brother. The wait is never long.

I WAS a frequent customer at Bei-Fangs on DeZavala & I-10. My husband and I decided to eat there since we don’t get the chance to often. To my obvious dismay, I could not stomach eating the rest of my food when I saw these two little creatures floating around in my Vegetable Delight. I took my plate to my waiter and showed him the bugs. He repeatedly apologized and asked if I wanted something else. I kindly refused. Since my husband could not finish his food after what I showed him, we decided to leave. We were not charged for my plate, only my husbands, but the lady said it was probably from the broccoli. Which makes me wonder why they aren’t cleaning their vegetables properly. She made it seem like it happens often and it was not a big deal. This is not something that has ever happened to me and I questioned whether or not to report this but it really does bother me how they brushed it off like it’s an ongoing incident and I should have expected bugs to float around in my food. Needless to say, we are not returning.

Beware: Massive portions! Not like that’s a bad thing but you don’t wanna go here if you’re only a little hungry. First off, the location. It’s in the same strip as a bank and the parking in the front only accomadates MAYBE four cars so more than likely, you’re parking in the back. Once you make your way in, the set-up is average Chinese restaurant décor. Lunch specials are in the $ 6 — $ 8 range and come with an egg roll but sadly, not soup. Highlights include the rangoon and fried rice but the sweet and sour sauce tasted off, like it was watered down? Bottom line: Cheap lunch if you’re on a budget and starving.

Note: Just a review of the takeout product, not the location or service. Boyfriend, roommate, and roommate’s gf picked up takeout from this place last week when I had a late class. Not sure what they ordered for me, but it was still hot when I got home and they were mostly done. Though I’ve driven past this place many times, I’d never really heard much about it and didn’t feel compelled to try it, but they were familiar with the place and said I’d like it. I simply requested something with lots of veggies, and they got me something similar to moo goo gai pan, going on the reccommendation of an employee. As other reviews have said, the portions are huge. I had tons of veggies in a light but delicious sauce(really going to have to figure out what it was!), a rangoon and an eggroll, and a ton of rice– the box it was HEAVY when I picked it up. Being that I was trying to be somewhat healthy(hence the veggie order), I did not eat too much of the rice, but it was really good– usually I can just take or leave the rice from various take out places, but I kept nibbling off more and more until I’d consumed at least a quarter of the heaping portion. I suspect MSG was involved, but I don’t know for sure. Boyfriend disliked the eggroll, so I ate mine and half of his, soaking up the delicious veggie stir fry sauce as I went. Rangoon was just okay. Veggies, in addition to being tasty and having a lot of sauce, were crisp and fresh. Other friends only had good things to say about their food, and all of us had full bellies. We’ll probably be ordering from this place again, and if I can I’ll definitely come back to edit in the name of the dish I ordered.
