Amazing burgers! Best in San Antonio. Small place, but great service and cute ambience. Only thing that could make it better is adding fries to the menu, but the burgers are cooked to perfection.

Best hamburger in town big juicy and freakin delicious, this is not your fast foot restaurant, so il take a some time tile your order is ready, but every minute wet pay wen you take the firs bite at your hamburger o man is love at firs bite

This place is a cute little mom and pop burger joint. My friend and I were looking for a quick bite to eat, and saw that it was only down the street from where we were so we decided to try it. The owner was quick to welcome us, and went over the menu with us. He also gave us a little background information, which was really cool! We sat down, and instead of the usual awkward silence you experience while the food is being made, he made the effort to talk to us. He made sure we had everything we needed, and then left us to enjoy our burger. The burger was juicy, but not too greasy. Very flavorful, and reminded me of home. I will definitely come back to this place to eat. Thank you so much!

Been here a total of 4 times I believe … First time w my girl, second time w my friend, third and fourth time by myself because it’s that good! One time I couldn’t even actually pay because of a banking issue and he credited me. Danny is an absolutely cool dude! Super chill and very happy to make you a burger and talk to you the whole time! It’s really a great change up from any other burger spot iv been too. And the quality is superior to anything as well! It’s honestly ¹⁰⁄₁₀ everytime. I get a burger (sometime double meat) w jalapeños and bacon. Straight up delectable! I recommend if you are in the area or across town and want a great burger for a great price by a great chef. He seriously does it all by himself. Like a boss.

I almost don’t wanna write about this place for fear of word getting out. So fresh, so delicious. It’s a small place but there are picnic tables outside. Cash only. But in the words of Jules from pulp fiction, «THAT IS A TASTY BURGER!!» I will be back. Often

Awesome burgers and Danny is very cool. Place is small and a diner style but sooo good. Menu is straightforward and simple. Nothing but good old American burgers. Cokes and chips.

Good fresh burger, friendly staff, great service. It is cash only so bring it, if not, they have an ATM.

I had the cheeseburger and chips (lays), and my SO had the double meat burger with cheese. Both were excellent, the ingredients were fresh and had a good flavor. This place has definitely perfected the tasty, simple burger, and we will be back.

I bookmarked this place for over a year and because their schedule, I just couldn’t make it until last Saturday.
I came around 6PM and ordered a Double meat burger with jalapeño, and Big Red (duh, you are in SA, eating a burger, what else you are going to pair with? Pinot?).
It took Danny about 15 mins to make it, which means it is fresh.
The burger is big and greasy, ask him to cut it in half for you, it makes easier to eat.
Like I said, the burger is greasy, but it is delicious, I don’t know how to describe it, I ran out of English words to describe delicious food from my other 700+ reviews.
The only downside is there is no AC, so it is humid inside, I end up taking my burger to go (it came in a to go bag anyways)
Good place to grab a burger with a bud, not a fancy place to take a date to though, because 1) it is hot inside 2) the place is intimate, when there aren’t any people, there is no privacy.

A tiny hamburger joint with a big fat juicy hamburger. It’s really delicious. It’s huge. It hit the spot. Bicycling there will require a post-​burger nappy on Danny’s patio before riding on. I’ll be bicycling there again fo’ sure. A really friendly guy who makes a magnificent burger.

Old Fashioned Burgers, Chips (not fries), canned Soda. That’s all you really need and when you do it this well, then it’s a thing of beauty. Danny Boys is a precious gem for the city of San Antonio, and Danny is the charming host with the most patience.
It was fate that brought us here on that fateful Maundy Thursday, traffic was a mess on the freeway so I decided to cut through the base like when I was a kid, Well the base has the south gates locked down and now we were destined to go around and try and get across to the NW side in time for mass at 630p, to make things more dramatic, the «Check Gage» light came on and the Temperature gauge was pegged out red hot, we turned on the heater and rolled down the windows (not our first overheating issue) and started looking for an AutoZone or Garage to pull into before we have a catastrophic event and ruin the motor. Nothing like that in sight but suddenly at Fredericksburg and W Summit, there was River City Kustoms, a car repair facility with a mechanic working on a car. He quickly diagnosed the Thermostat was stuck shut and said he could get the part delivered today and get us back on the road. We agreed to wait and were told that the burger joint across the street had an ATM and we would need cash to pay for his services. Best news ever, so we went to Danny Boys to get cash and perhaps have some dinner while we wait.
Danny was behind the counter and he greeted us and soon learned of our poor luck getting to church, and now the ATM could not dispense the amount I thought we’d need for the repairs, to which Danny said «it won’t cost that much» and he was right. Once Danny had us as a captive audience, he proceeded to tell us how he wanted to win us over as customers. Let me say, his food was tasty, fresh, and properly done with good taste. From the toasted buns to the diced onions and lettuce, the burger had that taste that reminds us of the burger we ate as kids from that place we forgot the name of and was a lot like mom used to make,
Our first time here was by sheer luck, good and bad, but our return trips will be intentional and deliberate. We will be back and we’re bringing friends. They’ll thanks us later.

A plus!!! A must if you are in the area. the owner is super cool. I’m told he has a bike meet every Saturday morning where anyone can bring their bikes and buy, trade or sale. That’s pretty cool. great burgers

Best Burgers in town, no fries but you can bring your own beer.

This is a gem in the neighborhood. Old fashioned hamburgers made from scratch with pride. I love a simple burger all the way, and this one hit that perfect spot. Danny was super nice. He came out to say goodbye as I was leaving on my bike. Can’t wait to go back and try some more of the home cooked awesomeness!
They will be holding monthly bicycle swap meets, so I definitely will return for a tasty burger and home town hospitality.
Danny’s is the farthest thing from a chain restaurant as you can get, and that in my book always wins!

We were looking for an alternative to Italian or Taqueria in the Deco District area. We were NOT disappointed in Danny’s! This should be a textbook example of the KISS (Keep It Simple Stupid) principle of business. Danny does one thing, and does it REALLY well. Burgers. You can add cheese, bacon, jalepenos, or any combination thereof, and it is all good. My 9-​year-​old daughter is a purist. Plain and dry, she adds a little catsup. Her burger was just as good as mine, all-​the-​way with cheese and grilled jalepenos. Bags of chips and canned soda/​bottled water rounds out the menu. He doesn’t need anything else. If you are anywhere near this place, you should try it. He packs all up to go, but you’ll want to stay and visit with Danny and his regulars. I intend to be one of those regulars!

We saw the reviews and decided to check the place out and all I can say it was well worth the size is perfect and the owner is very friendly. Would definitely eat here again when in town
