This is probably my least favorite restaurant experience since moving to San Antonio in late December. Our waiter seemed more into his phone vibrating in his pocket than taking our order even checking it when he was taking our order. Overall the service was poor to say the best, with excessive time(10 minutes) from when we were sat down to when we were greeted, to multiple mistakes when our order came. The food was all overly seasoned and the chicken in my lo mein was still pink in the center which when showed to the waiter said that this was how it was supposed to be with the spices in the noodles(really!!!) This was an experience that has made a lasting impression and one location that we will not be returning back to ever.

Grabbed lunch on a Sunday afternoon. We sat in the bar area on a high top. Didn’t order drinks. There was a good amount of people in the dining area of the restaurant but regardless the kitchen was just too slow. We ordered 2 sushi rolls and Mongolian beef to share. It was 20 minutes before we got our sushi and another 40 minutes before we got our main dish. That is pretty ridiculous for such a well established restaurant. Server was pleasant and efficient. However the kitchen needs more staff or better management of their time. Also the Mongolian beef was $ 17, well cooked but in my opinion a very small portion for the price.

Hot and sour soup was fantastic — wish I had ordered a bowl and not a cup. The service(Jäger) was quick and professional. I ordered the Korean spicy chicken stir-fry with fried rice and the wife ordered Chang’s crispy chicken. Both were great. There were several large groups having going-away luncheon events and they got pretty loud but We’ll definitely be back.

Not as good as other locations. Ate at the bar. Bartenders didn’t care to clean after guests left. They left bar dirty until another customer walked up and even then cleaning effort was lackluster. Water glass had dried food on the outside. PFC has changed their food prep again. Ordered Shanghai Noodles and it just tasted assembled and heated in sauce. Edamame appetizer was too much and not that good — tasted microwave steamed. Went during Chinese New Year and they had a CNY menu but wasn’t even offered to look at it. Overall disappointing experience that will not have me visiting PFC again.

Best Mongolian restaurant ever. This branch has great staff and the food is so good that you really don’t know what to order. I love their hot and sour soup, calamari is so delicious, dynamite shrimp is a must try. Their Kung pao shrimp or chicken are mouth watering. Mongolian beef is one beef dish you must try. My God almost everything on the menu is fantastically delicious. The atmosphere is nice and I love the fact that they don’t have a set meal time so they serve food from the time they open till they close.

My husband and I just recently visited the PF changs in La Cantera and I must Say, hands down, best service we have experienced in a long time! Trevor was super attentive and on point the whole time, from beginning to end. Never had to wait, or even ask for anything! He knew what he was doing and did it well! BESTSERVEREVER!

Nice atmosphere but I was not impressed with the food, especially for the price. The sweet and sour pork had so much ginger in it that I left feeling nauseous.

Simply put, this place is a hopped up Panda Express with customer service that would turn the most loyal away. I would go to Panda Express any day over a return trip to P.F. Chang’s. On our recent visit we were seated within the time quoted which was nice. The layout of the restaurant is very awkward and were were seated in the middle within inches of the table next to us. There was a very large pillar nearby which blocked most of the view of the restaurant from our table. Maybe some would call that more private if we were not bumping elbows with the table next to us. If the table set up was the end of the issue then this would be a four star review but that was not the case. The customer service was absolutely horrible. Our server was non-existent just like our food. Our orders took forever to arrive and when they did they were wrong. In fact, our appetizers were brought out after our entrees and the manager, without us saying a thing to anyone, brought a coupon for a free appetizer on our next visit. Our meal was not bad. My rice was forgotten and with a server that we did not see again for more than 25 minutes I was unable to get rice until I had finished my meal. We decided to get dessert which seemed pretty nice via the picture and for $ 4.99 these crème filled wontons were sure to please. 30 minutes later without a single sight of our server the manager brought out our dessert with our check and left. We were flabbergasted about the dessert. There were two TINY wonton like items with a little crème inside and drizzled with some sauce. I would say they were about the size of those mini bite size candy bar squares. Very small and worth a fraction of what we paid for them. Since this meal took 1.5 hours from start to finish with no concern from anyone including the manager(we saw our server working other tables as we were leaving but she did not return again after delivering our entrees) we will never return to a P.F. Chang’s.

Food was okay, not great. Our dessert was one week old, the lighting as always was really bad– bring your flashlights. The bar, as always was dirty. In the general dining area — housekeeping was being done, mops, windex, brooms everywhere.

A co-worker and I ate here the other day and I must say I was impressed. I hadn’t eaten here in years because it has a reputation for being really pricey, but it was actually cheaper than I estimated it to be when the bill arrived(around $ 15 a person for an entrée, soup and drink). The Egg Drop Soup was phenomenal. There’s a mom and pop Chinese restaurant that I usually get my Egg Drop Soup from and I had yet to taste a better soup than from this particular restaurant but the Egg Drop Soup at PF Changs laid the smackdown on mom and pop. For my entrée, I was between the Crispy Honey and Sweet & Sour Chickens, so the server suggested that I try one or the other and get the sauce of the one I didn’t pick on the side. I took his advice and let me tell you — the Crispy Honey chicken is the way to go! The only negative I could find was that my fortune cookie had no fortune. I guess the fortune cookie stuffer ran out of nice things to say, so he didn’t stuff mine at all or it could just simply be a sign of misfortune(no pun intended). Excellent food, great service, good portions and decent prices. What more could you want? As a side note, you can order online for to-go and they also have a rewards program that you get 1,000 bonus points for signing up for online(each 2,000 points is a free entrée).

Consistently good food at most locations, and this location is not an exception. Very darkly lit, so we opted for a booth with some lighting. No wait for dinner on a Friday was a surprise. We split the crab wontons as an app, then shared the asparagus and the lobster fried rice, which was a huge portion. Wished I would have tried the lobster street tacos though…

P.F. Chang’s has long been one of my favorite places for Asian-inspired food. I went to the one in Huntsville several times when I lived in the area. So, while in San Antonio with my husband who was here on business we decided to try the one at LaCantera. We were seated immediately when we walked in by the friendly hostess. We got a nice, huge, round booth for two in the middle of the restaurant directly across from the kitchen(of which we had a view). Our waitress seemed a bit scatterbrained. She acted like she didn’t want to serve us, or wasn’t all there. She had to ask a waiter for help a couple of times, and although he didn’t assist her with our table, I did notice him coughing into his hand and then handling someone’s plate with that same hand(this was the next table over). The food was good – not the best I’ve had at a P.F. Chang’s, but acceptable – and the portions were very generous. I got Honey Chicken as usual, and my husband got Mongolian Beef. The steamed white rice was on the dry side, and the fried rice, of which there was a HUGE portion, was near tasteless, but my chicken was excellent and so were the eggrolls. The service, however, leaves something to be desired…

Food was not good and they would not do anything extra after even you express your dissatisfaction. I ordered candied walnut shrimp and the chef forgot to add the sauce and I had to ask. Instead of preparing the dish again they just got the sauce out for me to mix. by the time the sauce my food was cold and was not even worth the money I paid. really disappointed. A restaurant so close to upscale shopping should have better chefs…

Always have great food experience and excellent service at PF Chang’s. It is one of my families go to places for Chinese food. The atmosphere is great and kid friendly. We eat here often when we are in the area or shopping at La Cantera mall. Would be 5 stars, but dining in, the restaurant was a little warm on 2 different occasions. Our waitress took care of it talking to a manager, but could be better since here in Texas it can get really hot, especially with the outdoor shopping at La Cantera mall.

Love this place, probably my favorite Asian restaurant in San Antonio with consistently fresh great quality food. The lunch specials are a great value. Definitely try the candied walnut shrimp with honeydew melon, since I tried it last month I’ve been going back at least once a week to get it. Also, I love that they do curbside to-go service. I generally only get to-go when I don’t look acceptable enough to be dining in public, and it takes all the awkwardness out of walking into a nice restaurant wearing pajama pants.

As you know from my reviews on Unilocal,I am a connoisseur of salmon; I have eaten plenty of it to make me an expert on what salmon should taste like. I can tell you that salmon should not have a fishy taste or smell. It is a sign that fresh salmon has been left in the fridge for a few days, because it starts to smell ‘fishy’. I asked my husband to try mine because he said his did not taste«fishy». I gave him a nice chunk of my salmon and he agreed that mine was not good. I tasted his and he was right his didn’t, but his salmon was over cooked. I love PFGangs but this was disappointing. As always the wait staff performed wonderfully and were attentive to our needs. I asked for something spicy to try and camouflage the taste; no Bueno. I have had better meals here, won’t be ordering salmon again :(

Ok. I know it’s a PF changs and I don’t usually review chains but damn this is REALLY bad. So I(as I normally do) check Unilocal before heading out. Wanted a quick happy hour menu. I checked out their Unilocal info and the information provided by the company for Unilocal listed happy hour EVERYDAY. I checked with the the bartender who tells me that it only applies Monday– Friday. He sends the manager over and I show him the information. Says that it does not apply. Proceeds to tell me that he has no idea what Unilocal is. What? Who on earth in the restaurant/chain business does not now what Unilocal is… Both dishes were cold, lacked flavor and tasted like cooked frozen veggies. service was spotty. That was our experience.

I seem to like this location better because they do care about the presentation and quality of the dishes that are being sent out. Also, this is like San Antonio’s Lover’s Lane of eateries, everyone seems to be sitting next to a fine heina or stud muffin and feeding each other… bleh. What I’ve seen is proof that this is a great place for dates. The food is good, the sauces are better and appetizers are consistently good. Servers are very attentive and knowledgeable. Definitely go during lunch and try out the menu at better prices. Try their sweet vanilla cream won tons if they still have them, they could have been seasonal… so good!
