This has always been my favorite place for Chinese food. Staff has always been friendly except for today. They had new people working there that were rude. Hope they aren’t the ones running it now …

Ok… I’ll admit that I got spoiled with Nama from the other evening. But it was Ramen. I ordered Asian/Chinese. And comparing the two is like comparing apples to eggs. Since I rarely, if ever, leave my campus, I have to choose carefully among the limited options around the school. There is another«Chinese» restaurant around the corner, but their quality has majorly slipped lately, and the last time I was at that particular establishment, my favorite waiter had left, and the quality was subpar. So after a quick search and some fumbling around, I chose Wok on Wheels. I ordered the shrimp and broccoli with steamed rice and an eggroll. Thinking that would suffice I went to checkout, only to be hit with a notice that there is a $ 12 minimum for delivery. Well… okay. I ordered the dumplings also. All not too bad, but the soy that comes with the dumplings is a mite salty(of course, as it should be). Shrimp and broccoli is good, but could use a *tad* more shrimp. Lots of veggies, though, and plenty of rice. Delivery took a good while: about 50 minutes… should have known that they would be busier on a Friday. I thought that the driver might have tried to come down a major road that is under very heavy construction(I don’t use it myself for that reason), but he said that they were swamped. Having done pizza delivery myself, I get it. It would be helpful to have an estimated delivery time available, either via text/email or on the order page. Good choice if you need a decent meal, but be prepared for a slight wait.

We were in the mood for some chinese food and thru a quick search on Unilocal,I came across Wok On Wheels. I submitted an online order of chicken fried rice, an order of eggrolls & veggies with scallops & shrimps. The delivery took about 45 minutes which was understandable and my total was about 31 bucks. The entrees were huge, beyond expectations. The chicken fried rice was hot, fresh & very good. The wife’s veggies, shrimps & scallops were good with the exception of the scallops(bland, no flavour, not good) and the eggrolls were very good as well. Over all we would order from here again but will not give the scallops a second chance!

The two times I ordered from here the food was terrible. Now the Health Inspector wrote 18 demerits on 3÷18÷15 for all kinds of contamination violations. Yuck!

Customer service is pretty good! They are fast! However there is no seating inside. So it is purely delivery or take out. The food is okay, not amazing. It definitely isn’t my top Chinese food please to order from.

It used to be really good, but I’ve given this place a chance multiple times in the last year or so, and am always disappointed. The food is poor quality. Not worth it.

My work ordered Wok on Wheels for lunch last week and had it delivered to our office. The order arrived right on time with labels on each box so we knew what was inside. Each of us had different lunch plates: Chicken and Snow Peas, Lemon Chicken, Cashew Chicken, Beef Broccoli, Pork Fried Rice and Beef with Vegetables(for me). The lunch plate comes with your choice of rice(steamed or fried) and either an eggroll or a rangoon. I had ordered a rangoon but got an eggroll instead — no big deal. They also gave us individual plastic bags that had a fork, soy sauce, duck sauce and a fortune cookie inside. The food looked good but was definitely salty. The baby corn in the beef with vegetables was sour(weird!) — I ended up picking out the cabbage and baby corn and realized that I should have just ordered the Beef Broccoli. The prices were very reasonable and the delivery was great, but with all of the other good Chinese restaurants in the medical center I don’t think I would order from them again.

Awesome food and awesome service. Came through like a champ. Food was hot, flavorful and full of great flavors that had me salivating for more. You gotta try the orange chicken, it’s amazing!!! Egg rolls are top notch flavor and drinks were sealed. Great food and great service.

If dressing up and then going to some fancy chinese place that includes smiling chinese waiters, chopsticks and overpriced MSG laden food, go ahead. You can be as phony as the places you eat. If you want hot, good, cooked to perfection chinese food, delivered to your door by a polite courteous person, then this is the place. Always hot, cooked to perfection chinese food. I have never gotten any food here that wasn’t perfect. Today I got the beef with mushrooms. Not only delicious, but there is so much that I have lunch for tomorrow too. A bargain and the prices are reasonable. Go for it…

This is the worst Chinese in the city. The people who work there are sloppy and greasy looking, so that’s a major turn off as is. The food is greasier than any place I’ve ever been, and the driver may or may not eat some of your dumplings on the way to your house. Avoid!

Very disappointing. I don’t know if this place is worth doing dine-in, but it is definitely not the place to order delivery from. 1) I was quoted an hour delivery time, but they took almost an hour and a half to arrive on a tuesday night. I live 11 minutes from their store location. 2) We ordered a 2 liter pepsi, but got Diet Pepsi 3) All food was stone cold when it arrived, so the crab rangoons and egg rolls were inedible. 4) the sesame chicken was waaaay overcooked, dry, and chewy. 5) some shrimp for the shrimp-lettuce wraps were overcooked to the point of rubberiness, while others in the same dish tasted almost raw and fishy. Also, despite being soupy, it was packaged in a regular styrofoam meal clamshell box, such that it leaked out into the delivery bag. 6) If you pay with a credit card they ask for every bit of information on your card including name, number, expiration and security code — not completely unheard of, but still extremely unsettling. Won’t order from here again.

I posted last week about Ming Tree on Blanco and thought it was great so I decided to compare tonight with Wok On Wheels which was always my go to before Ming. However, I was actually disappointed. I didn’t remember it being quite so dry. I liked ordering online and I do live a little ways from the restaurant so I guess an hour wasn’t too bad, but 20 $ for sesame chicken and steamed pot stickers not all that good. There was NO sauce in the chicken for the rice or to even help with the dryness of the chicken. Over all, to be as fair as possible, I have to say… I think I will pass next time.

Want bad Americanize Chinese? Then you’ve come to the right place. They will drowse your dish in soy sauce to ensure a single, uniform flavor across all menu items! Next time try out Kim Wah Chinese BBQ. Go there and ask them which menu items are Chinese. FYI lo mien, orange chicken and the like are American dishes. As much as I like those dishes, Wok On Wheels fails to even meet the lowest of standards for American Chinese.

If they mess up your order don’t expect them to correct it. Their policy is to only offer a free appetizer for your next order. I just want what I ordered. Food is sub par and inconsistent. I tried to like this for the simple convenience factor but I have given up.

Just okay– not that impressive. Not much to say because nothing was remarkable. Would rather drive out to Panda Express. More for your money there.

This place is a pain. Whatever you do, don’t ever use their online ordering system, call instead and pick-up. I’ve had it happen to me so many times where it times out when I’m ordering, so it still charges my card but the order doesn’t go through to them so I have to wait like two weeks in order for the transaction to be cancelled on my card. Anyways, it sucks. I’ve learned any time I want to order from Wok on Wheels, I call and pick-up rather than do delivery. The food is definitely mediocre, obviously Americanized Chinese food; but you do get what you pay for. The lunch prices are reasonable if you have a large family to feed or if you’re eating on a budget. I just give such a bad review because of the pain I’ve had with their online ordering system.

I have ordered WOW many, many times, and unfortunately, you really don’t know what you’re going to get anymore. I always order the same thing(lemon chicken with fried rice and eggroll), so I am able to compare. Sometimes, the lemon chicken will be crunchy and piping hot, other times it will be lukewarm, and soggy from the steam inside the container. Same goes with the eggroll. The taste is very good, it’s a matter of execution on their part.

This is becoming a lunch time staple for me. They have an order online option which is AWESOME because you can pay there too so all you have to do is pick up the order or wait for it to show up at your office or house. I really like the cashew chicken and cream cheese rangoons. My only gripe about the rangoons is that I wish they came in a half order. They only come in an order of 6. There is a small table and a couple of bar stools inside the restaurant if you want to eat it there. Its mainly a take-out/delivery place though so don’t expect sit-down restaurant service. Service is very fast. I once called in an order about 5 minutes before arriving there and it was already bagged by the time I got there. Is this authentic Chinese food? No. But it is tasty! I’ll be using Wok on Wheels when I need a quick lunch or dinner.
