Went to Doctor’s office across street and saw this place from a window. Decided to give it a try. What a grand idea! Great food, and service. Small café, but clean and friendly. If in the area, I would recommend it for breakfast or lunch.

I’ve lived in San Antonio for a little less than a year and a half, but I’ve definitely found a home in this place. Great service from a polite, courteous(not to mention bilingual) wait staff with a kitchen knocking out consistently-good food to top it all off. The tortillas are always on point! And the specials, breakfast and lunch, can’t be bested. For the price you get good ingredients which always seems an issue at affordable Mexican restaurants/cafes. Great place to bring anyone new to San Antonio homestyle Mexican fare without the dingy/hole in the wall vibe. My only beef are the hours as I wish they extended a bit longer, but it’s more than understandable due to the style/kind of crowd they bring in. Next time you pass it by don’t give it a second thought… Drop in!

Everything I have tasted so far was amazing. The sad part is my order hasn’t come. I ordered a breakfast torta. It wasn’t something I made up or invented. It’s on the menu. Everyone in the party I came with already finished their meal. My torta finally arrived, it was tasty but the bread was soggy. Is this my new fav place? No. Would I recommend it? Sure. Would I come back? If I am in the area and alone, why not?.

I got to Regio today to pick up my Christmas order. Everything was ready. Not a single glitch! I am most excited about my un-cooked gorditas… I can make them at home fresh for the kids… how yummy is that?! Christmas is on the way. I wish Unilocal would publish my reviews… not sure why they won’t but I am hopeful their algorithm will improve with time.

YUMMY !! This is a great place to have breakfast. The staff is super friendly and are ready to take your order. It’s a small family owned business. Once we are seated they serve us this nice warm soup, and take our drink orders. Once we receive our drinks it’s time to place or order. I’ve tried there breakfast tacos, pancakes, and other breakfast plates. There is not a dish I haven’t liked. So take a look at the menu and if you’re in the area check this place out for yourself.

I think this place is great. They make you the most authentic mexican food near downtown. Here’s why… First off everything is fresh. The tortillas are real. The beans are to die for. I recommend the enchiladas verdes. On Wednesday’s they have fideo with picadillo and pinto beans. Lunch specials daily. They even start your meal with a chicken broth soup with rice. I love

Awesome breakfast here! This place is only blocks from my home, but the reason I love eating here is that from wait staff to kitchen staff, the focus is on quality. The best breakfast is huevos rancheros. Luis gets the eggs just right. Over medium eggs are really over medium. The potatoes are always perfect, crispy on the outside but soft and wonderful on the inside. My faves are their homemade corn tortillas. Awesome, and they are consistently perfect. The place is not luxurious, but it’s comfortable and the staff are efficient and friendly. Try the fideo and the caldo!

Ohhhh yeah… Good home-style cooking, FTW! I bumped in to Joe R at a coffee shop down the street and we decided to follow our Unilocal app to a new lunch spot. Traveling down McCullough, we stumbled on Regio Café and decided we’d try it out since it had 4.5 stars on Unilocal and neither of us had eaten there. As usual, Unilocal was right! We both opted for the two enchilada lunch special, which ran us about $ 7 each, including a tea. The plate was goooooood.(All those o’s are necessary, yes.) My enchilada was smothered in tasty gravy, the beans were perfectly flavored and the spanish rice was insanely good. I’m usually not one to eat the rice, but here, I practically licked my plate clean. Also, make sure you ask for some chips and salsa to start. The chips are made there and had an especially good flavor to my taste buds. And service was excellent. Super friendly, prompt and done with a smile. I would definitely recommend this spot next time you’re in the mood for a Mexican food pick-me-up!
