The food was amazing! One of the best salmon benedict’s I’ve ever had. The brûlée French toast was delicious. The atmosphere is great, nice music and the service was awesome. It’s a little hidden gem I would highly recommend. I will definitely go back!

Great spot this is right by the airport so I came here right before leaving. The food is amazing and the prices are also reasonable. One thing I liked is they have a button where you can ask for a refill or the check which is convenient. Instead of raising your hand and waiting for someone to come to your table. Overall a great spot I will definitely be back when I am in San Francisco.

Café Grillades is less than a mile from my house, so my husband and I go there a lot. It’s amazing that they can achieve a bistro vibe in a shopping plaza. The restaurant is intimate, and the food is great. The management and chefs do a great job. Anytime I ask if a dish’s component is made in-house, the answer has always been yes. The variety of dishes they produce is pretty impressive. I’m a fan. The thing that motivated me to write a review is the care they take when packaging their take-out dishes. I live close and get lazy; don’t judge. :) I ordered a nicoise salad. The tuna was expertly prepared. What really impressed me is that the lettuce was packaged separately from the ingredients which would have made the lettuce wilty and soggy. That one small decision by the restaurant made that salad a brilliant experience. Keep up the good work, Café Grillades. It’s little touches like this that make me happy to give you my money rather than spending it somewhere else!

Last 2 times I ate here my burger smelt rotten and my stomach hurt after. The service is still great but I’m sorry the food was kinda yucky.

Amazing gelato! The owner is so sweet. Very comfortable vibe and all the food we tasted was top notch! Next time when my son isn’t throwing a terrible two tantrum, we will stay for a sit-down dessert and try one of their mouthwatering dessert crepes. Recommend!

I really wanted to like this place because of the great reviews and because the woman(who I assume is the owner) that took our order was very nice & helpful when asked about the menu items. However, the service and food here were both subpar. The wait staff were not helpful, food took forever, and it took ages just to get someone’s attention. I ordered the café burger and it was nothing special. The fries were clearly homemade but nothing to write home about. Friends had crepes and they said it was just ok. Overall mediocre experience at best.

The food and espresso are pretty good, but the service is slow. Since they have all day breakfast items, it works out well for vegetarians. They even have a tofu dish or two.

Ok here’s the deal– had I known they served fresh French fries I would have been here all the time! It’s my new go to fry spot! The second thing I am really happy about is the David Rios Chai they serve! It’s almost impossible to find here at coffee shops ! Again, coming back for that as well. Panini was good– I’ll be back

Dear Unilocal! I came here right after a flight from Atlanta with my boyfriend. It is 7 minutes from SFO long term parking. This place had the most delicious savory crêpe I’ve ever had! Granted it was the only crêpe I’ve had in my life but I’d def order this again! I ordered the Algiers Merguez which is their homemade spicy lamb and beef sausage with potatoes, Roma tomatoes, carmelized onions, jack cheese and topped with a little crème fraîche with a side of balsamic mixed greens. My boyfriend ordered the 2 eggs any style with a side of fruit that came with strawberries, peaches, mangos and bananas! I ate some of the bacon and I must say, it was nice and crispy just like I like it. The service was also excellent, we were greeted and seated right when we walked in. We will be coming back here again foe shooo!

Aljiers Murguez — lamb and beef sausage, potatoes, etc. Very yummy and great flavor! I came here for a quick breakfast on a weekday and there were plenty of seats! They have a pager system that you press buttons depending on what you would like the ask the server for which is super awesome. I wish that other restaurants could have something like this installed. The service was very courteous and prompt and the waitress gave us some good suggestions on what to get. I would come back for the Aljiers Murgeuz.

Last Night was my third time coming here and Café Grillades does not disappoint! Came here with my best friend for her birthday. Crepes were delicious. I had the New York, which has New York Strip, caramelized onions, portobello mushrooms and cheese. Delicious! I ordered it with the buckwheat crêpe. The put a candle in a bowl of their wonderful gelato and they sang Happy Birthday! It was great! Thank you for making dinner great!

Son finished his soccer game in San Bruno so he was starving. Oh what to do? So I Unilocaled and decided on this place. It’s small and in a strip small, so don’t expect a fancy ambiance. The menu is VERY extensive. O my gosh. They have everything. From traditional American brunch fare, to salads, to burgers, grilled panini, crêpe, and things with a French /North African flair like croques and couscous. I had the croque madam, son had a burger. As he said the burger wasn’t bad but the croque was phenomenal. If you are in the hood, eat here

Came here after a hike with 15 friends about a year ago… and I’m still craving their food. They seated us after a 15 minute wait and the server was soooo friendly and kind. She looked like she loved being there though they were short staffed that day. I’ll never forget her smiling face, the fun and professional manner in which she made conversation with all of us. Café Grillades, you have a special place in my heart. I heard great things about your food years before stepping foot at your restaurant.

This is the first time I’ve been back in years and I still love the San Franciscan crêpe– eggs, beef bacon, and potatoes topped with crème Fraiche. It’s the only thing I order. Service is INCREDIBLY slow. 10 minutes to take my order and now I’m currently waiting for my bill, which has been another 15 minutes and my credit card has been sitting on the table.

Friends brought us here because they said the food was excellent. Unfortunately, our visit there wasn’t very good. Went with a party of 7 and it took a good 15 mins for someone to come and take our order. When we got our waters, they were filled to the brim and spilled all over the table; my cup was dirty. We asked for another cup and got one 5 – 10 mins later. Everyone in our party ordered the Grand Chipotle burger which we decided to split with 2 people because we were told the portions were huge. They weren’t. The burger was pretty good(it’s messy to eat so just FYI) but the size was smaller than usual so most of us were still hungry. The fries we received were horrible. Someone must’ve decided to serve us month old frozen fries because it was as if I was eating cardboard. I may have come back if the service was excellent but that wasn’t the case. I had to walk up and ask to change my plate(it was very dirty) because no one was coming to our table. The bathrooms were also locked which was kinda odd.

I ordered a salad to go here the other night, and it was pretty decent! I got the Pear and Brie Salad, which didn’t look like it was on the menu, but I had seen it on Unilocal and the cashier said they still make it. I decided to add chicken just to spice it up a bit, which was a good decision because it would have been a little too plain otherwise. There were plenty of pears throughout, but I will say it was a little too light on the brie. The service was good, although I didn’t dine in restaurant so I can really only comment on the cashiers. But they were friendly and my food was ready in about 15 minutes, so I didn’t have any complaints. This is my first time coming here in quite a few years, but from what I saw they still serve some pretty quality food!

Slowest service I’ve ever experienced– which is why we didn’t even wait for our food to come out. After we sat down, it took about 10 minutes for a waitress to even notice that we haven’t ordered. Then after that, they didn’t give us water until my boyfriend pushed the service button many times lol.(yes they actually have a service button– but based on the other reviews, service is still pretty bad) We looked around us, and the whole restaurant was full of hungry people without plates of food in front of them. We knew it wasn’t practical to stay and wait for our food so we just cancelled our orders and left. Eh I did want to try the crepes, but based off of the amount of people who were still sitting and waiting for their food, it looked like it was going to take forever. PEACE.

Breakfast on a weekday sure why not! There menu does have several items, I sampled there Algiers Merguez omelette. Ingredients included homemade spicy lamb, beef sausage, roma tomatoes, caramelized onions and crème fraîche. The spot is decently sized tables for 4 or 2, it seems they also specialize in crepes something I will need to come back for, also they have north african couscous platters(fancy) will need to come back for this also. The Algiers Merguez omelette was good, portion wise I thought it was a little small, it also came with your choice of toast(english muffin) and home potatoes, the lamb was not spicy by my heat tolerance, i’m pretty sure my kid can eat it with no water. The home potatoes were past golden brown more of the inbetween of almost over done, taste wise slight crunch on the outside and on the inside piping hot seasoned well(not to salty), trying not to eat so much carbs so I only had 5 pieces, english muffin was standard no frills, I will have to try their garlic herb ciabatta next time instead If you are in the area and have a day off, stop by, it is quiet, staff is helpful place was a lil dark inside, might have been due to all the furniture being dark hardwood, Food *** ½ portion wise lil small but I will need to come back for there couscous dishes and crepes price $$ service **** ambiance **** clean, dark hardwood furniture, quiet, tables for 2 — 4 people
