Great cigar lounge! This gem had been bookmarked in my Unilocal account for two years and I couldn’t wait to stop by and check it out. I’m glad my boyfriend and I had the chance to come in after a flight of beers at Ballast Point. The ambiance is very relaxing and welcoming! My boyfriend had the white series MonteCristo alongside with a port wine that the owner recommended. He enjoyed it! I had a glass of seven daughters Pinot noir. The owner was very attentive with us and was nice enough to put on the NBA finals; his cooking skills are on point and he brought out the best drizzled olive oil tomatoes topped off with seeds as an appetizer and offered it to everybody in the lounge. We will back again when in SD!

Relaxing and welcoming cigar lounge. We stumbled across this gem after polishing off a flight of every beer at Ballast Point. We decided a cigar was the perfect night cap to the night! We walked into the cigar room and were met with a nice selection of cigars. We each got one but my favorite of the night was the Rocky Patel 1990 Vintage. Wow what a smoke! We lit the cigars at the bar, ordered a glass of sweet wine and puffed the night away. Looks as though they sell food here too. Didn’t get to try but it looked authentic. The owner of the lounge was very open to speaking to us about his favorites, his life, and politics hehe. We enjoyed every moment. We will come here again if we are ever in town.

Fine Cigars. Good interiors. Owner sounds douche sometimes, but he serves nicely too.

Nicest owner with a wonderful personal story! Highly recommend you stop by. We were fulfilling a few random acts of kindness and it turned out he was the kind one to us!

Good lounge in a convenient place downtown. Prices are reasonable for the location. Here are some«tips» for people who don’t know much about cigar lounges: First, you gotta buy a cigar. To the guy from Tennessee who thought he could sit there smoking his own — you’ve got to be kidding me. Do you bring your own booze to bars and expect them to let you sit there drinking it? Do you bring your own food to restaurants? Ridiculous. Yes, if you go to a cigar lounge, you’re going to pay more for the cigars than if you bought them online. This does not make them«overpriced.» The profit from the cigars is how they pay their rent! You’re paying for the location, the taxes, the service, the chair you’re sitting in, the TV you’re watching, the air conditioning, etc. Not just for the cigar. And it doesn’t matter if you buy drinks there, you still gotta buy a cigar. This ain’t a bar, it’s a cigar lounge. If you don’t want to smoke a cigar, don’t come to a freakin’ cigar lounge. If you want to smoke the cheap stick you bought online, you can sit in the plastic chairs in your back yard and serve yourself. That goes for you too, guy who posted about you and your three friends«sharing» one $ 8 cigar among you. Number one, that’s cheap as hell. Number two, it’s unsanitary as well. You don’t «share» cigars. Do you share your toothbrush with your friends too? Do you pass your drink around the table and let everyone have a sip? That’s disgusting. Your friends can drink their own drinks and smoke their own cigars.

Place is really nice! Nice selection of cigars. Staff was friendly. I don’t think staff was very knowledgable on cigars but definately friendly. I will be back for sure.

WARNING!!! $ 10 «cover charge» to smoke your own cigar. I walked into this small cigar store(the term Club is a huge stretch). Even though I had my own cigar with me, I figured I’d check the humidor. Immediately upon walking into the humidor a man walked in right after me and just stood there and watched me. Only when I looked at him did he ask me if I needed any help … uncomfortable. Nice selection of grossly overpriced cigars so I figured I’d stick with my own cigar. I had intended to have a couple of drinks at the surprisingly small bar(5 stools) and for some reason felt like I was unwelcome so I asked the crotchety older man who was now behind the bar if I could smoke my own cigar and he told me there was a $ 10 «cover Charge.» I told him I was going to have a drink or two and he said there would still be a charge. Just for reference, I was dressed in a suit and there was only one other patron in the store at 6:30 p.m. If you’d like to be fleeced and feel unwelcome, this is the place for you. If you’d like to enjoy a cigar, a drink and some friendly service … find another place. I found another on the same exact block and enjoyed my own cigar without paying $ 10 to do so.

What a great cigar lounge! The owner was SO nice helping us pick cigars and making sure we enjoyed our time there. Me and my wife came away with some great knowledge, pictures, and wonderful company. I’d love to come back and enjoy another delicious cigar and port at this great lounge. Thank you!

I was in San Diego looking for place to smoke cigars and found Habana Club Cigar Room. The club is conveniently located in Gaslamp district next to Horton Plaza on Fourth Street. Overall I must say awesome and unexpected experience Kaveh the owner patiently worked with us(very large selection of mainstream brands) to choose a smoke of excellent quality once we made our selection he then cut them to our preference — we lit up and engaged in some animated conservation coupled with tasting of 10 and 20 year old Ports that Kaveh recommended and I must say the pairing was superb. This is our place to visit when we are in San Diego.

Excellent service! Can’t be beat. Love the old-school vibe. Owner is amazingly nice and generous as he provided me with complimentary snacks on a chill Monday night. Wish a place like this was in LA! I’ll be back when I’m in town for sure.

Great place for a gentlemen’s cigar and drink. Old school vibe with an excellent selection of cigars. The owner is extremely knowledgable about his smokes and had menus for nearby restaurants and had the food delivered. Good selection of beers, wine, and ports, but no liquor. That said, I think if I was a regular, as opposed to a visitor, the service is such that he’d keep a bottle of scotch for me behind the counter.

My husband and I have been coming here for 2 years now and this place has become our home away from home. The owner, Kaveh, is the most loving person in the world. Extremely generous and has awesome prices. If you’re here at the Gaslamp just stop in and have a cigar and a port, wine, or a beer… you’ll be amazed at Kaveh’s service.

Ok, was searching for a place as the reviews are all over. Was just in town for the evening and wanted a good cigar and place to enjoy it. This is not my style, dark, small, horrible selection and just looks neglected in general!

Had a great cigar(Montecristo Select) and nice conversation with the owner. Also loved that there was a WA wine(Château St Michelle). Also appreciated the willingness to watch a Dodgers/Padres game(I know how painful it is to watch the Padres for folks who live in San Diego, but LA fans want to check out the Dodgers when traveling :-))

A group of 4 of us stopped by here after dinner for a cigar and some drinks. Not being big cigar smokers, we shared an Arturo Fuente between us. I’m not a big cigar guy but smoke enough to know a little bit about it and for $ 8, it was a tasty one. We enjoyed a few beers while were there, and he recommended the Samuel Smith Old Brewery’s India Ale. This was an amazing beer. You definitely have to try it when you’re there. The food on the grill he had outside looked awesome, but we were so full from dinner that we couldn’t fit any more food in. Next time, we’ll have to definitely try.

I came to this place looking for an Illusione ~1~ Dark Prince while vising downtown San Diego this weekend. Unfortunately, the owner hadn’t heard of it but offered me their house cigar. It was reasonably about the same price($ 20 – 25) & I’m happy for my choice. The cigar smoked very well, it wasn’t as dark as a Maduro, but not light either. The cigar also held it’s ash for more than half of the smoke(will upload photo). The service was quick, the owner was knowledgeable, and the place of business was pristine. Definitely going to stop by again next time I visit San Diego
