Harvey’s Motel

Absolute disaster. Man at the front desk claimed the credit card machine was not working and that I would have to pay with cash. Luckily my Über driver stayed and gave me a ride to the nearest ATM. My driver, who was very helpful informed me that the credit card machine was probably a lie and that the hotel wanted cash because it was a place where sketchy business occurs. Without such a helpful driver I feel like I would have gotten mugged walking to the nearest ATM. Will never be returning here again. One thing I will give this place is that it is quite a bit cheaper than other hotels in the area

Checked in at 11:30pm, only to enter a room smelling of stale cigarettes. We called the front desk to request a non-​smoking room as neither of us smoke. We were told that we could transfer rooms for an additional $ 15. Really? I won’t be going back.

The Good:
The room was very clean as well as the bathroom and shower.
Wifi was easy to connect to and had a strong signal.
A small bag of ice was provided in the mini fridge (although if you want more from the ice machine, make sure you have quarters)
Freeway on ramp is near by.
Rate was reasonable.
The Bad:
The room is smaller than expected from the pictures online (Single Queen)
The service from the man in the closet «Check-​in desk» was not that nice had an attitude the whole time I was checking in and I asked if I could view the room before checking in, he gave me a look of discontent but gave in anyway.
The neighborhood is not so inviting. I didn’t have any desire to walk to any of the stores or restaurants near by.
The walls are paper thin! Had a baby wake me up at 3:30 am from the room next door.
The Ugly:

All in all, I was very comfortable while in my room. Though probably won’t be staying here again, I do not regret it.
If you need a place to crash for the night and continental breakfast and room service is not important to you, this the place.
But if you are looking for resort type quality, I recommend the Town and Country Inn.

The good: I just wanted a cheap place to crash for the night, and that’s what this was. Also, I had no trouble with the wifi. In that respect, the motel delivers.
The not as good: I checked in a bit early (~5pm), and the carpet was still damp from cleaning and some furniture was on the bed. Maybe some Comic Con guests got a bit out of hand and they had to clean the carpets? I could also hear the television from next door.
