iTAN Sun Spray Spa – Mission Gorge

Jordan, Alyssa, and Lauren kick booty! Not only does iTAN have a lot to offer when it comes to products and services but the staff is also great! I rarely have to wait for beds and my tan is on point! When I have questions I leave feeling educated and never guilted into a purchase. It’s very welcoming to be greeted with a huge smile every time I walk into the salon! The girls ALL remember my name as well! Great customer service and salon!

Bought 3 teeth whitening & LED sets. No change in teeth color. Asked why no change and was told those sets are very weak and don’t compare to dentist office. Then why do they sell them???

The staff here has always been superb and friendly. I have yet to have a negative customer service issue. A few times bulbs have been burned out and not replaced as quickly but still overall a great place to go.

Love this place. Never had to wait too long for a spray and got the package deal for spray tans :) pretty natural looking!

This is my favorite iTan salon! The girls at the front are always really nice and helpful! The atmosphere is cozy and clean. Highly recommended!

I used to really like this place and I don’t often complain but the past two experiences I’ve had in a row have been disappointing. I came in wanting to use my package and found out that although my spray tans that I purchased were still ‘in the system’, they had supposedly ‘thrown out’ all of the expensive scents and accelerators that I had purchased. At the time I bought them they offered to keep them behind the counter and didn’t bother to mention that they will just get rid of them at their discretion!!! The girl behind the counter cited a lack of space as the reason. Why did they even offer to store them them if they did not have the space??? When I came in today I asked to tan in the red bed. There is only one type of bed there that is red and the employee gave me a blank stare and acted like she had no idea what I was talking about unless I mentioned the exact make and model of this tanning apparatus. I did not appreciate the attitude and was even more perturbed when I finally got to the bed and noticed how dirty the room, bed, and fan were. There was a big layer of dust on the rim of the bed and the fan had globs of dirt and dust in it built up over time. I couldn’t help but think ‘this fan is going to be blowing that all over me in just a few minutes’. I used to only go to iTan because when they opened it was well-​kept and the customer service was top notch. I hope they will get back to that again! I have 5 more tans so if things improve I will update this review.
**UPDATE** within a few hours of writing my Unilocal review I received a phone call from Jill the new manager of this location. She was very gracious and offered to make things right by replacing the lost scents and accelerators. She also apologized and assured me that she would go over the cleanliness of the location herself. I really appreciate good customer service and this immediate follow-​up-​kudos to you for being on top of it!

I have learned to love this place. Billing procedures have gotten much better and I like the services offered. It’s really expensive so I only go a few months out of the year. but it works. The beds seem to have new lights in a reasonable amount of time, which is good.

Back in the day I used to fake and bake all the time. I would also go to the beach with baby oil, sunbath for hours, then go to the tanning salon. Thank God my skin is still in tact. Nowadays, I’m too concerned with the health of my skin and future to even think of going down that road again. Thankfully Mystic Tan came out and thankfully iTan has Mystic Mondays where I can have a nice fake glow for about a week for only 10 bucks. You can’t beat that! The Mystic Tan machine is always in top notch shape as opposed to other locations I’ve been to. I can’t make it here every week, but I love it when I do. The associates are always nice and it’s rarely packed.

iTan Mission Gorge is great! I give FOUR stars for the following reasons:
1) Great location to my home and parking is almost always a win situation unless it is Sunday after Church hours; restaurants near by tend to fill the parking lots.
2) It is very rare you have to wait for a bed; booking appointments for the body wrap and hydration stations are easy!
3) Most the girls behind the counter are friendly and willing to answer any questions.
I cannot remember the girls name who took the time to help me understand the hydration station but if I could I would leave her a great review. The first time I went into the hydration station the girl put the wrong setting on and my session was over in less than 15 minutes. No big deal; now I know should it not be set correctly.
I give this location a FOUR out of FIVE because in the evenings guys tend to hang around the front counter on occasion which can be a little unsettling. I do not feel comfortable always putting my first and last name out there with some stranger an ear shot away.
Overall, I like this location!!! (A tanner’s secret to be so close to Mission Valley!)

Definitely recommend this location! Parking is always convenient, hours are great, the beds and bulbs are well maintained and clean. (Have not tried any of the other services offered at this location other than the tanning beds.). Most impressive is the staff — the customer service is top notch! Everyone I have dealt with has been super knowledgable and friendly. For example– when I needed to get a new tanning lotion, Krystena took the time to look-​up my previous lotion purchases and notice that I did not like bronzers –rather than automatically pushing the most expensive product they sold. Also I don’t feel pressure to purchase more sessions (even when I don’t need them) because there’s an «amazing promotion that won’t last» every time I tan like I do at some of the other locations.

This itan is great! All of the girls are really friendly and helpful. Obsessed with infrared bodywrap! I’ve been going every other day, and only once so far did they forget to fill a pitcher of water. Can’t comment on DVDs because I just watch Hulu plus, and have yet to try other spa services, so I can’t give five stars yet!

iTan Mission Gorge is my favorite iTan to visit! The girls here are incredibly friendly, helpful, and always make me feel welcome. The staff makes an effort to get to know their regulars and it gives iTan Mission Gorge that extra personal touch. I have nothing but great things to say about this facility and the girls that staff it. I recently moved further from this location, but thankfully my gym is nearby so I can still tan there often!

I love tanning here! The staff is very friendly and quick and beds and store are always clean!

The girls are always helpful and knowledgeable! I really like going to this location. They have alot of different spa amenities and it is always clean. I would definitely recommend to anyone.

I went to this location twice in one week and loved it. Both girls that helped me were super knowledgeable and helpful. I did the Mystic HD and loved the results. I felt very comfortable with the explanation of the product and the choices and levels available to me.
