Raglan sent us a coupon for a free burger! Of course we had to cash that in. I have to say that the food is really good here, but even with $ 10 off for our free burger, we still spent $ 50 with tip. This is a burger place, right? Seems wrong to spend that much for fries, 2 burgers and 2 beers. We did like our food but my wallet is crying!

I agree with my friend Amy — try the Lamb burgers here. They are juicy and tasty. Get the sweet potato fries along with them, you will not regret it. Just don’t take your time eating the burger — all of that juiciness will make the buns soggy and it’s more messy to eat then. They have a wonderful selection of beers on tap of course, being in Ocean Beach, and the bartenders were awesome. Might have to wait for a table though… the place is pretty cozy. Overall, fun times and good food there.

What’s not to like?! We live down the way and since the day they have opened the staff has treated us like gold. Excellent food, awesome service, everyone is friendly(especially James), don’t hesitate to enjoy some time at this place!

Bar was cool. Atmosphere was fun. Food was a 3 Star(Cluck and Squeal), Service was a 4 Star, but value was 1 Star…$ 26 for a burger, fries, and a beer. Rocky’s or Hodad’s does better, cheaper. I’ll give it another try for breakfast(menu and pictures look good), but not going back anytime soon for the evening.

These guys get it, and have yet to disappoint. Start out with the Pretzel and make your way to burger. I’m also a fan of the Tomato Soup and Grilled Cheese. A great selection of Beers on tap and a fun and family friendly atmosphere that’s not Chucky Cheese.

Our friends that live in OB turned us on to Raglan. And we usually end up here after a night of drinking. They do early morning drink specials for brunch I think its $ 1 Mimosas and $ 4 Bloody Marys and Bloody Beers. They are Farm to Market restaurant. My husband loves their Chicken and Waffles.

I rarely ever meet a sandwich I don’t like and the same held true at Raglan. I might be making this up, but I thiiiink Raglan technically supposed to be an Australian burger joint? I think? As someone who is perpetually cold-natured, I very much appreciate the space heaters on their patio. It could be 30 degrees(…it’ll never be 30 degrees. This is San Diego), and I’d still feel perfectly fine sitting outside, basking in the glory of those heat babies. I’m a big water drinker and you know what’s great about Raglan? They provide pitchers of ice cold water on the table — a revolutionary concept allowing customers to fill their own water cups if and when they want to. I know, I know; it’s not particularly revolutionary, but major marks to restaurants who do this. Okay back to the reason you’re reading this review: the bomb food. Last time I went I found my new staple — the«cluck… something.» It was your basic grilled chicken sandwich but kicked up a notch with avocado and bacon. Grilled chicken + avocado + bacon might as well be the new holy trinity. My sister Shelley B. got the portobello mushroom burger. She’s been a vegetarian for as long as forever, so she told me it was pretty unique that instead of offering a veggie burger that’s basically a hamburger patty made of pureed mushrooms, they offered a big olé slide of portobello to serve as the actual«meat» of the dish. Each of our sandwiches came with about six little potato chips on the plate. I didn’t mind the small number, of course, but it made it laugh. I wish they hadn’t put blue cheese on the sweet potato fries. Real talk. I don’t trust anyone who actively enjoys the taste of blue cheese. Service at Raglan is always super speedy. I’d say all in all, Raglan is a safe bet — everyone is bound to find something tasty on the menu that’s right up their alley!

Got the free burger flyer, in the mail. So went to have a burger today. The burger was good, but the service was not. Sat on the patio, and went inside to find out where the dude was with my ice tea? He was bartending? so I used the mens room, whats with the rusty cart, with a old tool box doing in the bathroom? A busy lady waitress finally got my tea for me. I looked at the menu, for happy hr. I cant even afford the happy hr drinks…6 bucks for a cocktail? I dont think this place is a $$ …the only deal was the flyer for the burger, I got in the mail. The dude rushed back out and gave me a bill, and ran away again? I can see why there mailing out free burger cupons.

This place is awesome. I love the food, beer, service and atmosphere. My only gripe comes on what I ordered. I ordered the«holy roller» burger, which comes with a tofu«patty.» Honestly, everything was good except for the tempura patty, the tofu is simply way too thick. It’s like it just came out of its block packaging. I think it would be real good if it was half its size… just a little bit thinner!!! Other than that I liked the fries, beer selection, and everything I had. Either way, I’ll be back.

Are you hungry but you want a delicious, well-cooked meal with fresh ingredients and a great atmosphere… Then Raglans is the place for you! I’m a regular here, since I live a few blocks down so I’ve tried tons of food and drink options. Most of the food items I get are around $ 10 – 13 not on happy hour and are all incredible! Happy hour deals are always awesome! My favorites Sunday brunch: $ 1 mimosas 9−10am $ 4 bloody Mary, mimosas, sangria 9 – 1 #1 favorite –Chicken and waffles Breakfast blunt is awesome If you’re super hungry/hungover get The Cure-biscuits, gravy, eggs, choice of 1 of 3 meats(fried chicken, chicken or bacon) Happy hour faves: Grilled cheese with tomato basil soup $ 5 Fresh hot pretzel with jalapeño sauce $ 5 Grilled corn with siracha $ 4 Cluck n squeal– grilled or fried chicken sandwich $ 13 and is really good especially with their sauce! Patty melt $ 12 tastes awesome!

I’ve had the chance to dine here about 5 times now since living in San Diego. I’ve enjoyed everything I’ve had there with the exception of their chicken sandwiches. I’ve had a grilled one and my gf has had a fried one on separate occasions weeks apart. And there is just something about it. The chicken ALWAYS taste chewy. Like its undercooked. However, I did of course check and it is not. Chicken is my go to meal most of the time and I have to say theirs is just oddly strange. Other than that, since I know it I stay away from it and enjoy everything else wonderful they have.

Unilocal pointed us in the PERFECT direction. The food has a distinct flavor, with some unusual yummy sauces. Jeff ordered the Kiwilango burger, 100% organic grass fed beef patty, sliced jalapeños, blue cheese, hot sauce, and tortilla chips. The burger was juicy with the perfect blend of flavored. The cherry on top was the three extra dipping sauces for the fries. I ordered the Wake & Bake, grilled swordfish, spicy coleslaw, avocado, tarragon mayo on sourdough bread. Absolutely Devine!!! The atmosphere is very chill beach with an eclectic mix of wood, metal, and unique light fixtures. A subtle New Zealand feel features Rugby art, newspapers, and surf videos. It works!

Really, the owner of this place and Queenstown needs to hire people who have served tables before. I am pretty forgiving and I was once a server so I understand things happen, but after the 8th time of awful service I don’t want to come back. It’s hard not to, there are only so many places around here and I love the Bare Little Lamb Burger. I had to give up on ever returning to Queenstown but I hope they’ll stop hiring people who hate serving food.

It’s in the heart of OB. Came here on a Sunday morning after a run on the cliffs. Came in for brunch. It’s the OB crowd. Super chill and laid back. A little too chill and laid back because this big group of young bloods came in and sat at the table next to us. They clearly just came from a brisk walk or bike ride or whatever fitness the kids are into now a days based on their attire and proceeded to REMOVETHEIRSHOESANDSOCKS and the table. Gross??! Why? That’s more of a type of people complaint. I don’t care how«chill» the area is, c’mon people. Don’t be gross. We are eating here! Moving on. Service was alright. She took our orders. Brought our orders. And cleaned up when we were leaving. I had the shrimp and grits. It was good. A little heavy on the onions but it had over all great flavor and texture. Hubby got chicken and waffles which apparently was amazing. The peanut butter mousse sealed the deal for him. Cool décor. Chill spot but don’t get too comfortable! That’s just not cool. Have fun but don’t be that guy.

Excellent food at this joint in ocean beach. Raglan public house is located in the busy area of ocean beach with many restaurants, bars, and retail shops nearby so parking is extremely hard to find. Prepare to pay for parking or park far and walk. The burgers are very delicious. The beef patty is tender and juicy. We had the big bare and dirty which is a gigantic burger that can feed 2. The addition of eggs in the burger is odd but a great concept. It definitely makes the burger tastier. The kiwi 3 some is good too but nothing special. You can’t mess up onion rings, fries, and calamari unless you really stink at prep and cooking. The restaurant gives you multiple sauces to dip which is nice since you get options to explore. Prices are decent. Customer service is fair, takes awhile to grab someone but they were very busy with a packed house.

Great Place!!! Super bar in Ocean Beach.

Everytime I come here I wonder why did I wait so long between visits. The setup here is pretty cool. The décor definitely has a New Zealand/Australian feel to it. The place was done well with a big bar but I must admit I’m not a fan of community tables. The staff is friendly and you get seated and served pretty fast as long as it isn’t packed. The beer selection is big and a good variety of craft beers. The lunch special is really hard to pass up. Burger, fries, and a beer for around 10 bucks. The meat they use is delicious and might just be the best I can remember. Juicy and so flavorful it’s hard to put down. You can really tell the freshness in the meat. All the ingredients are great and fresh. The bacon they use is outstanding and really compliments the burger. As far as the fries they are great. The only issue is sweet potato or regular… I’m a regular kind of guy and my fiancée is all about the sweet so we get 50⁄50. The only reason why I don’t give 5 stars is because of the way you can get smashed in an uncomfortable community table and the fact that the bathrooms are so small and only one person can use it at a time. For the amount if people in there and when the beers are flowing you might get stuck doing the«I gotta pee» dance hoping you’re almost up.

I am so happy that I finally made it to Raglan after hearing many wonderful things about the food and drinks, and it definitely lived up to my expectations! We came for a late Sunday brunch, and the only bummer is that they were no longer serving breakfast items. However, my sadness soon faded as their lunch menu was unreal! There were a ton of sandwiches, burgers, wraps, salads, and fries to choose from… our server had to come back twice before we had finally decided what we wanted to order! I ended up getting the Blackened Chicken Wrap, which came with a side of potato chips. The Cluck & Squeal that my friend got also looked so delicious and very filling… basically all of the burgers are massive! We got a side of fries to split with some of the dipping sauces and they were perfectly crispy and thin. On the healthier side, one of my friends got the Cobber Chopped Salad, and it came with fresh slices of avocado, hard-boiled eggs, and chicken on top that was grilled to perfection. The drinks here are also to die for! The Vodka Drink is the best drink I’ve found so far at any place in OB, and it has the perfect strength with a nice amount of strawberry in it… so good! Additionally, you can’t go wrong with the Bloody Drink at brunch-time…they have a lot of deals /specials on many of the drinks if you come at the right time, too! Raglan has a nice outdoor seating area with vine-covered walls, although it can get pretty hot if you are at a side of the table that is not covered by the awnings just FYI. Hopefully next time I will wakeup early enough so that I can try the breakfast items :)

I love this spot. I’ve came here for drinks before but I finally was able to eat here. We came here around 8 on a pretty busy Friday night and we luckly when we got a table within about 5 mins. I got the lamb burger which I’ve also gotten at bareback in PB(same owner I believe) It was honestly so tender, so flavorful and so delicious. It’s definitely a messy burger but everything on it pairs together very well. There was only one beer that I really wanted to try and they were out last time I came here so next time I come in I hope they have their Hefeweizen

Came here to watch the Xolos game, seeing as this is the spot for the XoloGringos. Its A Really Chill Spot With A Good Amount Of Craft Beers On Tap. I had the Maui Waii burger, and even though it wasnt the burger I was expecting It filled me up. Music, music was where this place hit it. Streetlight Manifesto, Catch 22, Op Ivy. Deff Will come back. Dale Xolos

Raglan has been on my list for a long time to go and try because it’s shown up on my Unilocal feed constantly. One Friday night(after X-Mas) I thought it was a good night to go. Street parking is always a terror in OB — was not looking forward to it. I found one about a block away, but there were so many sketchy people walking around… really close to the pier. Initial walk-in…the hostess kind of greeted us, said there would be a wait for 2. She went in to check and came back out and gave us a good table — it was around 8:30pm. She didn’t extremely friendly, but not the worst. Our waitress inside was really nice! She let us know about portions and sharing sizes, that was helpful. I had the Queenstown Fave burger. It had all your basics. It was made well, but food is average. The french fries were too crispy. Chris F. got this massive burger… it looks overwhelmingly huge. I think you can peek it in the back of the picture i posted. They have an extensive beer menu. It was hard to get one that I really wanted, and the one I did get, I didn’t enjoy. Should’ve have picked one from a can. I think this would have been a better lunch spot, not somewhere to ideally end my night. This place is geared more toward locals or regulars. I appreciate the kind waitress though — she was attentive.
