The people here are super nice it’s no wonder their business is expanding. They pick you up at no charge or deliver to you at no charge while you are on vacation. What a perfect idea and a great addition to your vacation. These people are friendly and add the cherry to your ice cream of a visit to San Diego. I had to comment positively which is rare because I’m a huge critic. These guys remember your name and if they get an order mistaken which is usually due to a new team member they will correct it. These guys are the kind of friends you want to keep around, don’t blame them for charging a premium because no other liquor store is around. It is called supply and demand. But if you want liquor in 3 minutes, call them.

Best liquor store I town. Service is top notch and free shuttle helped out. We were staying in the hotel and didn’t have a car. Valley liquor saved us with their shuttle to the airport

$$$$$ they know their prices are outrageous and they laugh at you every time they make a sale. Avoid at all cost.

Prices are very high. Even as a tourist, I can recognize terrible pricing. Stone IPA is 3 $ more than usual. Also, the freshness on the beer isn’t great. It was bottled over three months ago. Ralph’s is nearby! Please save a few dollars and go there for friendlier service as well!

Caution: Ridiculously high prices on a lot of liquor, particularly wines. Charges $ 28.99 for a bottle of Josh Pinot Noir that sells for $ 15.99 just about everywhere else. Most other wines are priced well over suggested retail. Unless you can’t make it to a local supermarket, avoid like the plague.

Avoid this place if possible. There are no prices on anything in the store. I had to ask for the price, which was outrageous. I decided to buy it out of desperation anyway. Then, after its rung up its over a dollar more. The cashier says there tax on a no taxable item. How low can you go?

Complete rip off with awful men working the register. A 12 pack of Coors light is 14.99. A pack of Marlboro lights is 8 $. Do not under any circumstance go here.

If you’re a local, do not come here. I just got swindled here. My card was swiped before the total was communicated to me and the guy refused to give me a return after I learned how outlandish their pricing was. Shame on you for taking advantage of people. I’d rather walk a mile out of my way to avoid this place. See. Ya. Never.

Really nice guys. I was taking a test near here and needed to buy a pencil. They didn’t have one for sale, but went in the back to find one for me. Unfortunately all he had was a green pencil, but they were all so nice and helpful still.

This store is extremely expensive. The food in there looks old. They make their money off of the tourist and others who come to stay at the near by hotels I only go there from time to time since I live close by if I want a bottle of wine, I have never brought anything else here. Too expensive.***They have FREEDELIVERY**** if you send 20.00 or more.

Convenient location to several hotels in the area only slightly mitigates the smallish selection, the tourist markup, and the boorish attitude of the man behind the counter. Incidentally, I’m not here for casual conversation with the guy who sells booze and smokes for a living. I just want to get in and get back to my hotel room before my ice melts. A 2 mile drive down the road will bring you to several supermarkets, convenience stores, and other places where you can purchase similar items. Considering the traffic jam on Hotel Circle, we ducked into this small store, knowing that we were going to pay a little extra for the savings of time, traffic, and temper. That said, and this is not remotely in the top two thirds of liquor stores I have visited in my life, but it got the job done in a pinch.

We were charged an extra«cash back» amount onto our credit card that was not given to us in person. $ 9.42 isn’t that large of an amount, but it’s stealing if someone pockets my hard earned money right? When I called about this matter and asked for a manager the employee Dave became defensive and said that there was no manager and the owner only comes in every once and a while. Shady… When I asked for the owners telephone number, Dave, the employee, would not relinquish the number even after I explained the fact that I thought the message would not be relayed. He gave me an excuse and spoke for the owner saying that, «the owner would not want everyone in the world to call him». Even more shady in my opinion. They offered to give me my money back if I travelled back to the store at an inconvenience to me. Thank you very little. I would avoid this place at all costs. We’ll see if the owner gets the message or cares.

Absurdly overpriced. Not recommended. I would go else where not pay the tourist tax that they are clearly charging

Stopped here on our way inland for a quick refreshment and found this to be a small but, very clean liquor store. They had everything displayed very nicely and I found what I needed quickly and was back on the road. That’s all more than I can say for most liquor stores which smell like dust and stale beer most of the time.

Here is the Positive– This place is in a great location and there is plenty of parking. Now for the negatives The owner is aware that most tourists do not realize that there is a Ralphs Super Market in a shopping center less than two miles away and as a result this place basically gouges you and when I say gouge, I mean gouge. Do yourself a favor before checking into your hotel: Put Ralphs into your GPS or Google map and drive five minutes away from this hideous place and buy from stores that are clean and treat you with dignity. On the other hand, if you want products that appear to have been on the shelves for months, are willing to pay about $ 1.50 more than normal for snacks, $ 3.00 a bottle more than normal for alcohol and don’t mind the employees looking at you like a perspective thief this is the place for you. This place is disgusting in every way.

20 minutes from the border of Mexico and they charge $ 13.67 for a 6 pack of warm corona’s. The guy threw in a half rotten lime. nice… I was lost thirsty and pissed off. Even the good part of the lime was of no use becaise I had no knife to cut it. BYOB when you come to San Diego. the whole town is a tourist rip off(except for the mall area across from Auto Center Drive)

this place is really the only close-by market under 3 miles. The inside smells like a stripclub, and the drinks are all overpriced. The guys are friendly as you approach the cashier, prob cause they know youre at their mercy. Shady parking gave me the creeps; so fucking dark just like this whole freaking city.

My liquor store du jour when I’m staying in or around the San Diego Hotel Circle area. The prices are pretty reasonable. When you’ve spent a long day walking around the San Diego Zoo or Sea World and you just want to get some drinks or snacks and head back to your hotel, this place is very convenient.

It is important to begin this review by stating that this liquor store in located in the heart of tourism slumberland here in San Diego. Other reviewers have stated that this place has a minimal selection and that the prices are too high. HELLO, McFLY!!! What should one expect when this store gets a large chuck of its revenue from out of towners and sexual flings? They are here to capitalize on those who are camping out on Hotel Circle for the night as well as the locals that are coming here to hook up with that hot and sexy someone. All of whom are looking for a quick grab on some hooch to spice up their personal situation. That quick grab is answered up by Valley Liquor at Hotel Circle. Being the local that I am, I would not buy a top-shelf bottle of anything at this lo-cal. I have BevMo across the avenue for that. I do however come here from time to time to buy an ice cold beer on a hot summers day. Today absolutely being one of those with temps hovering close to 100 degrees. This place is nostalgic for me as I have been frequenting this establishment for the past 25 years. Me, I personally fall into what’s behind situational door number three, I come here because this place has easy on /easy off access from the I-8. Good Times!
