Another Cafe

This is my new favorite. I spend like 2hrs a day here. Love this café. And yes when you are hungry you have some food options as well. I get a lot of this done here and you can even sit upstairs!!!

My husband and I moved to this neighborhood in 2011 before this coffee shop was open. We’ve been able to see Another Café develop over the last few years. They’ve grown a lot since their beginning days.
The staff there are very friendly and will make your order as soon as possible. I appreciate that the owner is always around and knows the community.

Not the most glamorous place but solid place to work. The coffee is nothing to write home about and they only really have bagels food wise. But there is an upstairs area with plenty of seats and plugs and Internet. Came here with my husband on his work trip, and it was down the street from our hotel. He has come back to work here several times since.

Con:
They only had one person working in the early morning so there was a bit of a line when I stopped by around 7:20 on a Thursday, it didn’t take eons, but not ideal if your rushing in the morning to get to work.

Super chill vibe here. I love the graffiti and pop art on the walls. Wifi. Two levels of seats. It’s a popular place to work, so you may have a hard time snagging a seat. Whenever I grab one, I feel like I’ve won the lottery. It can be pretty loud sometimes.
The coffee is solidly good. I think they still use Bicycle beans, which is rad. The food is tasty. I go for the veggie sandwich, which is good, solid nourishment while working. Always service with a smile.

This is my first time to go to here. This place is great, and their food is delicious.
My friend and I wanted to find a place to rest, and we found it on Unilocal.There are two floors in this café. Actually we were working, so we went to upstairs to hide. This was a good place to hide. People can’t see who is on upstairs. When we considered what we would order, the server gave some suggests to us. Even though I asked a lot of questions, the server also had a big smile and answered all of my questions completely. Finally, I bought a turkey panini and my friend just bought an ice tea (because she is on a diet). The turkey panini was hot and delicious. It smelled so good. After my friend took a bite of my pain in, she ran immediately to cashier and ordered one. She forgot she was on a diet.
Another Café is a good place to study too. They provide free WIFI for customers, so many people take a notebook here for studying. Next time I will bring my homework and enjoy my panini here.

This is one of my favorite café’s in the city. They have all of your usual coffee shop drinks, but they also serve some simple food options which is perfect if you haven’t had any breakfast or lunch. There are two levels, so there is plenty of room for everyone. And there are a lot of power outlets since the majority of people in the café are on their computers. The décor is bright and fun and they play good music.
The only reason I gave 4 stars instead of 5 is because the gal who took my order was a huge snob. Wouldn’t look me in the eye. Just seemed very pissed off. Not the greatest way to greet your customers.

All of the another café puns have been taken so I will get to knitty gritty of this place if you are in the area looking for a café. SF is kind of built on local coffee shops and this place is right in line with those. It can be over crowded with one or two on every corner. Another Café has found its spot on Leavenworth and is far enough of the sutter path to stand on its own. Especially for those that live in the area it feels like you have found your own little oasis.
The staff is very welcoming and the breakfast and sandwich options are decent. There is nothing that really stands out on the menu but you aren’t coming to a place like this to have fine dining. Its usually to grab something edible in the morning before work or something to chew on while you work on a project.
This is what i really like about this place. Similar to borderlands except they actually have wifi which can either distract you from your work or make it possible. There is ample seating downstairs and upstairs and plenty of room for groups of people to work which is not something i can really say for the other cafes in the area as they are usually crammed into very small spaces.
I nice little place to get your work done or stop for a quick coffee or smoothing break. Nothing to flashy but it gets the job done which many times is all you are looking for.

Great place to chill and work! Good coffee and a fun, friendly staff. Their sandwiches are pretty decent, I liked the pastrami a lot and the pesto turkey was alright. There is plenty of space to work, with large bar-​tables with stools as well as individual tables on the 1^st floor and 2^nd floor loft. Open til 10 on weekdays, which is great for the area!
UPDATE: Garlic chicken sandwich is amazing.

Another Café really isn’t just another café — because it’s actually pretty hard to find a good café with free wi-​fi to work at these days! Every coffee shop these days is third wave and the size of your first studio apartment, with no wi-​fi or seating to speak of. It’s kind of frustrating.
Another Café answers to this. Their roast is bold and tasty, but they don’t offer anything novelty in terms of drinks or pastries. I guess that’s where the «Another Café» part comes in. They’re pretty no-​fuss here.
I love bi-​level cafes. Sitting up top working on my computer against the mural’d walls for a couple hours was pretty nice. Everyone here is doing the same thing too. Have them watch your stuff while you pee.

Great place to work or study in Nob Hill. Inoffensive alternative rock playing in the background, but it was easy enough to shut out with headphones. The tables were mostly set up for 1 – 2 people each, with an outlet by every set that I saw (at least upstairs).
Food’s a little higher priced, but I thought my panini was worth it (~$ 12). Free, stable wifi that worked well for the hours I spent there. It was fairly full when I went, but the seating is spread out so it didn’t feel crowded.
If you buy food, make sure to ask for water and pick up LOTS of napkins!

Pas de charme particulier mais bonne qualité de sandwichs et de musique. Désert le jour de notre visite, juste après Noël.

Seriously though, Another Café is the cutest and, as suggested by the name, unpretentiously hipster.
[THE DRANKS]
The coffee is good and pricey-​ish but reasonable (unlike some exorbitantly priced cafes meant to satisfy the hipsterest SF coffee snobs).
[THE NOMS]
They serve decent staple café food which is not gourmet, but will satisfy munchies after (or before) a long stretch of intense café productivity.
[THE AMBIANCE]
Quaint though the name sounds, Another Café has a nice ambiance that is very conducive to studying: bright, open, outletful, and filled with artwork that screams character and stimulates your mind to cure writer’s block. It even has an array of seating, including personal-​size small tables, communal tables with high stools, and an upstairs area.
[THE SIDENOTE]
I was surprised with the health inspection warning because it looks clean (and we didn’t get sick, though my sample size is 2). I do think the business needs to address the issue, but until then it is just another pop-​up – we all have stomach acid and immune systems.
[THE VERDICT]
No excuses not to get work done here; you can always get another coffee, another snack, move to another spot, or look at another painting.
[THE CATCH]
Ever since coming here, we can never again use the phrase another café because it gets confused with Another Café.
