This was my go-to take away dinner for years when I lived in Cole Valley. Consistently delicious Thai food and friendly service kept me coming back. Now that I’ve moved to another SF neighborhood, when I get a chance to come here for dinner, it’s like coming home — it’s comfort food that satisfies the palate and the soul.

dine in: bangkok spring rolls(not deep fried), tom yum salad, mu-sa-mun curry, singha beer… staff was very friendly and professional. let us finish our beers although we were the last customers and they were starting to close down. food was served family style and is very rustic in presentation — but the flavors are totally on point! we un-abashadly wolfed down every scrap of food on the plates, which is why i have no pictures to share. will absolutely return for more delicious thai food!

I love takeaway from this place. It’s so good! The best I’ve had… possibly anywhere. Neighborhood gem. Check it out!

My sister & me were looking for some where good to eat close to Haight Street & stumbled upon this amazing place. It was empty, but I read the Unilocal reviews that it’s a local take out & super good & the reviews were correct. So good, great prices and the staff is so nice. Will come here again!!!

Had an excellent takeout experience. I ordered spicy Tofu Pad Thai and it was quite possibly the best I’ve had in the city. It was very flavorful. Very quick preparation time and inexpensive. Docking a start because I’m a bit disappointed that they do not have pad kee mao or pad see ew on the menu. That being said, I am a bit of pad thai junkie and Bangkok 900 has earned their spot as my go-to for take-out pad thai. The dining-in experience is not as stellar; the restaurant could use a face-lift but is on par with other local thai restaurants.

Yet another amazing Thai place in the city, and probably the best I have ever had. FOOD: I had Spring rolls, lemongrass soup and Pad Thai and ooooooh my sweet god. Those Spring rolls. I still have dreams about them sometimes(jk but seriously they were out of this world). The soup was so tasty, warm and cleansing, I felt my whole body was thanking me for having it– by the way it’s the best way to cure a terrible hangover. AMBIANCE: It’s really –REALLY– quiet there. Perfect place to take your ladies on a date, guys. The décor is superb and it feels cosy and comfy inside. Honestly they do do takeout but I’d rather sit there and enjoy my food in their peaceful dining area. SERVICE: Efficient, quick, nothing to complain about. PRICE: Oh yeah, and they are cheap too. Seriously how did I not know about this place. Thanks for an amazing dinner, Bangkok 900, you can know count me as a regular.

Came here for dinner while on vacation with my fiancée. Food was good and service was excellent.

Great value and surprisingly quiet — possibly because a lot of people get takeout rather than stop to eat. I’d like a wider range of beers but that’s a minor quibble — this is a convenient place to eat after a day in the park. We were served by a very quiet man who was the only waiter but was always attentive without crowding us in the least. We had a prawn curry, a salad and a chicken dish and they were all excellent — I’m looking forward to going back and trying out some other things.

Always deserted because it’s a local takeout place, Bangkok 900 is a favorite of the neighborhood for good reason.

I had a quick dinner few weeks ago and remember particularly the Bankok Fresh Roll. It was excellent and half a dinner by itself. Good thing I was really hungry. As a main course I had Gai Garprow which I enjoyed too. The service was fast and friendly. A TV was on somewhere in the room with a sports channel which took the Thai a bit away. I’d prefer some Thai music to go along with dinner to complement it.

Been coming here for years. They’ve gotten rid of their Angel Wings, which were the best in the city. Prices haven’t changed much, but portions have definitely shrunk. Still very good food and always excellent service, despite being an Asian restuarant.

Genuinely nice and welcoming owner/staff. The Kaeng Ka Ree(yellow chicken curry) can be enjoyed without the use of ulcer medication, which my tummy is grateful for having been fooled so many times by the word ‘mild’ at other Thai places. The curry sauce is so addictive that we now order an extra serving for takeout. The pan fried veggies(Pad Pak Rummit) is another must have, and so is the delicious mango with sweet rice dessert. Although the portion sizes have decreased slightly over the years, it’s probably what it takes for a(no tech) small Mom and Pop restaurant to stay afloat in exorbitantly expensive San Francisco, so cut them some slack!

Good, inexpensive food, fast and friendly service. Would definitely come back. I got the pad se ew(dinner size) and a Thai ice tea for a total bill of $ 10.60. Was very quiet when I was there(Friday at noon), so not sure how the service is when it’s busy.

first time dropping by… a bit disappointed with the portions. I ordered 2 dishes a beef salad and duck salad to go. I spoke to them in Thai/isan accent… so they know I should know my Thai food. picked up my order. it was extremely light… probably about a pound for 2 dishes. when I opened it. unsurprisingly there were just a couple of pieces of meat and big chucks of lettuce… was extremely disappointed I could have made my own laarb(minced meat salad) but didn’t have time to… so my friends were also disappointed because it looked looked left over from the restaurant. maybe dining in would be a different experience… I will try again next time… so I can give a better review.

Really delicious Thai food. Got the eggplant basil with tofu and green curry and it all is so tasty. The curry has a lot of ingredients in it as well. This is def one of my fav Thai places now!

This is our favorite Thai restaurant in the city, and a place we missed terribly during our short exile to the Peninsula. Lek is the man, the noodles have good wok hei(Google it), curries are well balanced, and the meats/seafood always taste fresh. Peter and I get takeout from here so often that when we call, Lek starts the conversation with whether or not the mangoes are ripe enough for the mango/sticky rice dessert. What a stud.

I’ve been ordering out from Bangkok 900 for over 10 years. And would drive there to pick it up but I have lived in Cole Valley and Nopa during those 10 years. I love that they have delivery now. It always hits the spot, the cost is modest and the food is great for those looking for mild curry options. If I want spice I got to the original Osha Thai on Geary. My go-tos are the pumpkin duck curry, green beans, pad thai, and larb

Another very satisfying lunch! I think this restaurant is way too modest. I had their pick 2 items lunch and it came with a delicious bowl of lemon grass soup with big chicken slices. Size is proportional to the price. Great value because of the quality of the food. I am from south east Asia and I have tried many Thai restaurants in SF and this is a hidden gem. The people are super nice, the food is prepared fresh and piping hot! Taste just like home cook food. Trust me when I say, this is real Thai food. Will return again for a quick, hot, and tasty lunch.

Biggest plus about this place is that they deliver almost always in less time than they tell you its going to take. The Kang Deng curry is spicy hot in a I can breathe fire kind of way. Friendly staff and excellent food make this place a fantastic little local resteraunt.
