They have a credit card reader now for drinks and products. The last one I went to was before Halloween. The butlers let us sit 6 friends together even though the table was set for 4. «Tsukasa» has a lot of charm and entertains people for hours. The straight-lace«Bob» acts like the boss. The others are also great at acting their parts. I They are very attentive and funny. As for their merchandise, the necklaces, handkerchiefs, etc. are high quality and I would buy them even if they were not part of the café. Well, since they give things away through raffles, that’s even better!

Café V was a delightful and delicious experience with fabulous fun and fashionable butlers. It was an experience that elegantly lingers in my memory. What a cast of characters I hope to see soon in the near future. Until then I await the return of this fantastic dansou café. Give yourself more time than you need when scheduling this event. Great raffle and fun games too!

I attended Café V’s J-Pop Summit event in August 2011, and I had a wonderful time. The butler’s were attentive, personable, and made the atmosphere a lot of fun to be in. We played games and chated with our bulters in between courses, and I never felt neglected or bored, even thought the event ran for nearly two hours. The food and coffee and tea were also delicious, and the tea sets they used were beautiful and so was the food presentation! I really liked that they had extra’s, particulary the signed polaroid photo that you could take with your favorite butlers, as well as the lovely broaches that were offered. I can’t wait to go to the next event!!! :D

I attended Café Verfuhren’s Tan Tan tea event in San Francisco. They did a wonderful job! Excellent service, great entertainment, and they really cared if everything was doing perfect. In the midst of a problem, they handled it with professional ease and prompt alternatives. I definitely recommend attending their events!

Café V(also known as Café Verfuhren to long time fans), is a pop up butler café that does events at conventions and festivals in Northern and Southern California. It does not have a permanent physical location. It’s based on the Japanese concept of a dansou café, which means all the butlers are females playing male characters.(Please use male pronouns to refer to the butlers when they are in character!) A usual event has food, interactive group/improv style games, and raffles for prizes. Butlers interact with their patrons in character, which can lead to some fun antics, depending on the personalities involved. Recently, Café V has began to do events outside of conventions, and has started to offer more original merchandise. Please check out their facebook page and website for more information about upcoming events. Café V will definitely be at Yaoi-con this year! Facebook: Web:
