Work right around the corner, must have walked by a bunch, in SF there are so many places like this esp in the FiDi/SOMA area, on a whim grabbed breakfast, nd wasnt disappointed, friendly quick and delicious. Open early too !!

I guess I must’ve walked by this place a hundred times and never noticed it. There’s just a little sign out front. If you’re not looking for it, you’d definitely miss it. Inside is just a little deli. Very simply designed with the cafeteria style feel, except without the seatings. The staff is friendly and welcoming. They offer a variety of lunch options(and breakfast, too) including salads, sandwiches, wraps, and soups. All of their sandwiches are completely customizable. I got the half soup and half salad combo with the BLT and soup of the day. The portions are huge and the total came out to be under $ 7. The BLT and soup were both good; I really enjoyed my meal. I don’t think you can get a better deal in the SOMA area. I really can’t believe I’ve just now discovered this gem. Will definitely return.

Pretty decent lunch sandwich place. My chicken parmesan sandwich was tasty and service was friendly and efficient. The guy at the register gave us some free breakfast treats too. Price was good.

Work around the corner from Eden. Saw the 4 star Unilocal rating and decided to check it out. Good place for basic sandwiches, which are very big and a good value. Service was fast and friendly. Ordered the corned beef rueben. Meat was kinda chewy and was filling, but nothing special. Had tastier sandies from other places in FiDi, so rating 3 stars. Will put this in my «rotation» of lunch places and try other things on their menu.

Came to check out Eden Plaza Café after moving to a new job in the area. Still trying to find a local lunch place and the reviews for this place looked promising. The café is in a great location with a friendly and speedy staff. Everyone is referred to as «Honey» «Sweetie» or «Baby,» which is so ridiculously charming. I could see many repeat customers smiling and having a quick chat with the staff over their order. I ordered a Buffalo Chicken Ranch wrap without tomatoes. It was huge, definitely saving the rest for dinner and only came out to $ 7 and some change. The buffalo sauce is pretty spicy, but I have a pretty moderate tolerance for spicy foods. My wrap came with tomatoes, no big deal, but I’ll be sure to speak louder next time as there can be a lot of noise with the huge lines piling up around. Wasn’t 100% sold on my chicken wrap, but will definitely come back and try out the rest of the menu. That many return customers and this many 5 star reviews can’t be wrong!

Super convenient lunch spot in SoMa! Huge sammies! I tried the Buffalo Ranch Chicken sandwich with the works on Dutch Crunch(toasted) and it was A1! Sandwiches are fairly priced as well! Staff is super friendly as well! edit: Chicken Supreme on Dutch Crunch with Spicy Mustard, add Sprouts and Jalapenos… SOGOOD.

Had tasty chicken parm on ciabattta today, and on top the staff were very sweet. Will definitely return. This place feels like it could become a favorite, reliable standby where the staff would eventually get to know me, if only I lived closer.

Every day for lunch, I walk several blocks to come here because the food and service is consistently great! I always switch it up between soup, salad, and sandwiches; all are delicious and you get a large amount of food for the price. If you order the same thing a bunch, they’ll memorize your order. I cannot stress enough how quick the line goes and how friendly the ladies making the food are.

Cute little café with a great variety of food and snacks. I got a breakfast sandwich(egg, cheese, sausage on a croissant) for $ 3.99. The card minimum is $ 5 so I grabbed an apple juice and ended up paying like $ 7 plus tax. Food was priced really well but a small Juice for $ 3 is a little much. Sandwich was alright, could’ve used seasoning. But all of the employees are so nice, and the old man that works there(I’m assuming the owner) is so sweet. I will definitely go back but maybe I’ll skip on the juice.

9÷18÷2015: The ladies making the food are friendly and this is a cute little space for a deli. One thing I liked was the burrito bar they feature. It is something that reminded me of Mint Café in the lobby level of City Hall. The burrito I ordered was delicious and I enjoyed it. Overall, good food, good service and friendly staff team. Very good first experience here, I’ll definitely come back for lunch. This is definitely a nice spot to visit for burritos, sandwiches and salads. Pricing of menu items seemed very reasonable which is always a good thing. Here are some reasons for the rating: — Good food(+1) — Good service(+1) — Friendly staff(+1) — Location easy to find(+1) Payment methods accepted: Cash and Credit A minimum purchase amount of $ 5 or more is recommended when paying with a credit card.

Love me some«honey baby»!! This place is such a great spot. Quick, yummy food at a reasonable price served up by the sweetest owners and workers. Their lox bagel sandwich is ahhhmazing. It’s so well balanced and they use great quality salmon. A trip here with my office buds will surely mean two things…1) we’re likely a smidgen hungover and 2) it’s going to be a good day a few others have mentioned this isn’t the spot for free range eggs or farm fresh lettuce. I agree and think if I had to pick one drawback that’d be the only one. Honey baby keep doin your thing!

The old man tried to charge me 50 cents for a drop of soy milk. I’ve been a patron of this place almost everyday for the past few weeks. Will not come here again.

I do love this place for the ladies who work there. They’re sweet, sassy, consistent, efficient, and have an amazing memory — if you order the same thing a few times they’ll have your order memorized by the next time you come in. The sandwiches I’ve tried have been hearty, and great for the price — keep in mind there is a $ 5 minimum charge for credit cards, and the half sandwiches I believe are $ 4, and if you get a half sandwich on a Dutch crunch roll, it’s pretty much a full sandwich portion to any normal person(the full sandwiches always stuff me). However, I think they recently hired a man to join their assembly line, and he’s the reason I can’t give this place five stars for what it is. He is not nearly as astute as the ladies who work there, gets my order wrong half the time(I wish he’d ask to confirm the ingredients I want like the ladies do, instead of just assuming and getting it wrong), and when he does give me what I ask for, he’s not quite as generous with the spreads and toppings. There are always three people behind the counter taking and making orders, normally two ladies and the man, and I always spend my time in line hoping and wishing that the man doesn’t end up taking my order. So, do come here on your lunch break, but beware of the man behind the counter making your order if you get him — keep a close eye as he makes your sandwich/salad/wrap so you can catch any mistakes before you head out. If it’s a lady making your order, you can trust she’ll get it right.

I work just around the corner from this awesome place, which means I’ll be making Eden’s a staple in my lunch rotation. It’s a rare find to get lunch for under $ 10AND a large portion too in the area. The line gets long at lunch but moves pretty fast so don’t let it deter you(or maybe DO let it deter you so I don’t have to wait as long.thanks.) They have a bunch of different wraps/salads/sandwich options and these babies are huge. I got a chicken salad sandwich and it was stuffed with delicious chicken salad… there were probably two cups of chicken salad piled in there. It tasted really fresh too so I can imagine the rest of their food follows suit. They have breakfast items as well and I’ve heard the breakfast burritos are –these are next on my list to try. Thanks Eden’s for keeping my stomach and wallet full.

Can we be honest? The food here, not really anything to write home about. It’s not organic, it’s not heirloom, it’s not free range. So, why four stars? Because for under six dollars I can get a big-ass deli sandwich in a homey place where everybody is as sweet as honey. But just do yourself a favor and stick to the salads, sandwiches and baked goods. Ya dig?

There are good people in the world, I can be cynical at times, but when I meet truly good people, and people that are total strangers that do good, it totally wows me and makes me feel so good. I was Unilocaling for a nearby place that offers salads that wouldn’t cost an arm and a leg, and one of the places that popped up was Eden Plaza Café. I entered the office complex on 600 Harrison, only to find out that it’s all the way out the doors to the side, so technically it’s on 2nd at Harrison. I’m so glad I found Eden Plaza Café on Unilocal.I arrived before 12, but they still had a handful of customers waiting in line. Salads are big and affordable, with tax they’re under $ 10. A salad for under $ 10 in SOMA, that’s cray right? I decided on the large Asian Chicken Salad and when the gentleman started making my salad, I noticed that my wallet was not in my purse, it was back at the office. I told them this and asked if they take Paypal for payment, unforunately they didn’t. But then the guy asked the owner and she was like, «it’s okay, you can come back tomorrow and pay.» I told her that I worked only a couple blocks down and I can come back shortly, but she told me not to worry and pay on my way to the office the next morning. And so I did this morning. Bless her heart! She and I also had some small talk this morning and she said that it happens a lot, and she just wants people to be happy and come back. The small little good nature gesteres like this and the affordable, big portioned, simple but good food they offer is what keeps people coming back. I enjoyed my Asian Chicken Salad with plenty of diced up chicken, fried chow mein noodles, tangerine slices and carrots with sesame dressing. I also subbed mixed greens instead of lettuce. I definitely will be back to try other affordable lunch items. I can see why regulars frequent this place.

Go here at lunch if you’re really hungry and in the mood for a deli sandwich. Those things are huge and I can never finish them in one sitting. The sandwiches are pretty good so I did try. Otherwise, this is a standard deli though it is not easy to spot from the street. I don’t go here often because I like switch up my sandwich spots, and also for my lunch rotation to be a bit further away from work. Almost a to-go spot but they do have a high table with stools, facing Second Street.

I love breakfast sandwiches, so when I found this place was super close to where I’m staying in SF, I was really excited to try it out. It’s also one of few places open at 6:30AM in the city… We ordered an egg white/cheddar sandwich on an english muffin and an egg/pepperjack sandwich on a croissant. I ate the healthier one, obviously: P The food was made really quickly, and the lady at the cash register was really sweet! We got a fresh OJ with the sandwiches too, and it was all really good. My sandwich was super filling, yummy, and not oily or greasy at all. The price was good too. Would I come back? Yes!
