Friendly, hardworking family owned establishment that embodies the definition of cheap, good chinese food. Large quantities for each dish. I work at a store nearby and they always offer to carry it over to me when I’m working.

Many selections, mostly deep fried items, just an Okay«American» Chinese Food. The restaurant is very small, disorganized and they don’t have ice for drinks. They don’t delivery but I think it’s just good for pick up.

Walked in, ordered number 9(lamb skewers). Server repeats back our order to confirm. Few minutes later, server comes around with number 8(crab rangoons). We told her this isn’t what we ordered. She tells us she misunderstood because our Chinese isn’t good enough. And then she tells us that they are currently out of lamb, so we should just eat it anyway because«It’s not a lot of money.» We left. For the record, 8 and 9 sound nothing alike in Chinese.

Customer service alone this lady be on point. Im a first timer her but watching her take care of everyone in the restaurant and remembering peoples orders is amazing. For the food, I wouldnt exactly say magical, but def filling and decently priced. Would definitely be coming back.

This has been my favorite place for about a year so far. If you like a relaxing and quiet atmosphere, this place is for you! The food is always fresh and yummy and the prices are reasonable too. The lady that works there always remembers what I like to get, so every time I walk in, she says, «Hi! Shrimp fried rice for here?» And I say, «Yes.» The fact that she always remembers what I usually get is amazing and makes me feel welcomed all the time!

This place is right on point. I get my food quick and fast. The lady that runs this spot is super cool and thoughtful. She always knows my voice when I call and never has me waiting any longer than 5 minutes for my food. I have been coming here for 5 years now and the prices are extremely reasonable. I usually get the Mongolian beef and it is always fresh. If you’re looking for something quick an inexpensive then hit this spot during the early afternoon or around dinner time.

There’s a few eateries on Ocean so you always have something new to try and recently I’ve been coming to Golden China. I’ve had the house wonton soup, shrimp fried rice, wings, S&P pork chops, and S&S chicken. House wonton soup is a filling soup for about $ 7. I will be coming back on a rainy day. Wings and pork chops are standard, I get this with the fried rice as a combo. They have a lot of combo specials under $ 10 so that’s why it’s become one of my regulars. In terms of ambiance, it’s your typical Chinese restaurant. Could use a English-speaking front person, some tidying up, and keeping storage hidden from customers but overall not bad. I’ve had better, but the combo specials have generous portions so I can count on them to fill me up. It’s ran by two sweet Asian ladies too so reminds me of home.

Location: Right on Ocean, easy to find. I stumbled across this place walking home from the bank. Initial Reaction: Standard Chinese restaurant, nothing to get excited or complain about. I do sense a bit of humidity, which is probably due to the steam from the kitchen. This could explain why it feels sticky on the table and/or condiments. Services/Food Purchased: I purchased Bittermellow with Spare Ribs on white rice. Time of Service: Very fast, well within standard expectations Customer Service: There was nobody there when I first walked in. The ladies didn’t speak English very well and handed me a menu. Again, standard Non native English speaker service. It wouldn’t be fair to compared them to a big box American restaurant in terms of service, but then again you’re there for the food. Value: I paid 7 dollars for my meal. The portion was good and the food tasted fresh. It’s neither expense or budget friendly. My 2 Cents: This is a standard Chinese restaurant. The service is OK(you would need to flag them down if you want help or service), the place looks OK and nothing really exciting about their menu. What I would say is that their cooking is authentic and I wouldn’t mind going there again. I wouldn’t make a special trip just to eat there however. But this is still much better than panda express. 3⁄5

Yesterday, I walked into Golden China Restaurant on Ocean Ave., SF for a quick lunch. The sign outside said«Grand Opening». I stood at the front for several moments and waited to be seated. The place was very full. All of the patrons were Chinese, so I figured this was a great place. I was completely ignored, so I sat myself at a vacant table. I noticed first off, that the table was sticky and filthy, and looked like it had never been truly disinfected or really cleaned. The grouchy older Chinese lady, who was waiting tables came over and said, «One?», and I replied yes. She gave me a dirty look and stormed away, wiping another table with a dirty rag! I began to look at the condiments on the table in a basket. They were all FILTHY and disgusting, and looked like they had not been washed or refreshed in YEARS. It made me sick at my stomach. Meanwhile a young Chinese couple came in and sat at the only other open table. The grouchy Chinese lady immediately brought them tea! I said to myself, «I don’t ever want to even walk into this filthy, unfriendly place again, and hurried out.
