Laid back crowd, not douchey. Good amount of seating. Dimly lit and away from the tourists of North Beach.

This warm and cozy pub is one of the best in the bay! Great prices, friendly bartenders, loyal patrons, and loads of excellent entertainment. There’s never s bad time to be had at Maggie McGarrys!!!

Came here to start the night New Year’s Eve, and one of the female bar tenders decided it would be a great idea to tip herself an extra $ 5 from my $ 3 tip from the first round(must have turned my 3 into an 8… So clever). Not a good way to piss off a client to begin 2016, must less one who wasn’t too drunk to remember it was odd she didn’t provide my copy of the receipt for three different rounds… I knew I could ask for my copy, but I was curious what someone’s motive would be for doing this on a night clients are known to get wasted, so I took pictures of each receipt instead. Turns out, someone really needed an extra $ 5. Hope it was worth it fool. I called in and apparently I can only resolve this by talking to a woman in person who isn’t available until Tuesday or Thursday until 7pm… Very inconvenient as I’m in San Jose. Started the dispute process with my bank, and about to fill out a BBB report. Too bad this bar tender made bad choices and ruined some good memories made that night. I gave you business when the Giants won the World Series back in 2012! Not sure I’ll be back here unless this is resolved satisfactorily.

Get your drink, dance and sport’s watch game on! This bar has live music to get your groove on as well. It can get quite rowdy and crowded here since it’s one of the main bars on the street!

I just don’t like this place. It’s always really crowded and last time I was here, the live band was not good.

Came here as an outsider to watch the home team play football(American). Super friendly, good selection, enough TVs.

One of my favorite Irish Pubs near me for three reasons: 1) The place is operated by real Irish folks vs. Irish wannabees 2) They know how to correctly pour a pint of Guinness 3) They show soccer/football on TV(a few of them) and know about the game too! What is there not to like? Cool bartenders, good pint of beer, and the worlds number one sport on TV! p. s. Even if you are not a soccer/football fan, this place is good for you as long as you can enjoy a good drink with a few local friends. I just had to sneak in the soccer thing because I am a soccer fanatic!

I’ve been here multiple times and is always the first place I hit up with friends when going out. The bartenders are nice, prices are reasonable, and it’s a great meet up spot if your planning on bar hopping in little Italy.

Bartender was very rude. Ordered a vodka soda(which I have ordered many times in my life) and it did not taste right. When I complained she said«you must have drinkin’ too much» and did not initially want to accommodate. When I insisted she finally accommodated with a new drink, but did it very reluctantly. I don’t appreciate how condescending her behavior was and will definitely not return to this establishment. And no, I was not intoxicated already when I visited this establishment.

My fave place for a Guinness in SF. Love the vibe, love the music. I don’t live in the neighborhood, but they always make me feel welcome, even though there is no way that they remember me from 2 years ago. I’m not a pub girl. But if I do a pub, this is where I go.

Love this little corner spot! Plenty of room to sit and stand, screens all over the place, etc., so great for sporting events. Not sure if they have any specials(never been there for them), but priced like normal pubs in the area. I love that the windows pop out so you can get plenty of fresh air in there if it get’s crowded. Note: if you’re using a card, there’s a $ 20 minimum, so either bring cash or drink up!

Best place for Arsenal game watching Saturday morning! The bartenders are super quick… please don’t judge my drinking before 10AM ;) The only thing that you should remember is that they only accept cash! Which is annoying because once you’re in for the game you may not be able to get back in.

Googled«Arsenal pub» and found this place a block from my hotel. Walked in and asked if this was the Arsenal pub and Patrick(bartender here) came up and said«you a Gooner?». Very welcoming place(unless you’re a Tottenham fan I assume). Great beers on tap and seems like a cool clientele. COYG!!!

Great spot to drink and watch sports with friends. I came here with 2 friends to watch the world series, which was packed but we managed to get a seat. It doesn’t get overly crowded unless there’s a sporting event. They let you bring your own food so you can snack and enjoy the big screen t.v.s with the locals. Great location bc you can get yummy foods nearby such as Golden Boys Pizza(greasy goodness), Sotto Mare and other great Italian fare. Great spot for locals! Good prices but not a great selection of beers on tap.

My husband and I had a wonderful time at this Great Bar last Friday night .it was the our 1st time there. we had Great Service and and all the staff was very professional. The band that night was Superbad. Lots of great music and well priced drinks. I thought the Mural Wall opening up to the stage so Original! We will definitely come back again.

Maggie’s is always a fun time. Live music, centrally located in North Beach and next door to Grant and Green. I like the set up of the bar: broken into two sections with the front of the bar being long with lots of seats, and a back area with another smaller bar and tons of seating and a dance floor. The bouncers are always nice, a ton of people show up so it has the potential to get rowdy, depending on the night and the music, but overall it’s a decent place to get drinks, more of an end-up than a place I’d go for an event.

Love this bar with their 80’s cover bands especially Superbad! This band has been entertaining Maggies clientele for 8 years always getting great praise & compliments for their great style! Lead singer puts on such a show & there is no cover on the door ! His act is all a show solely for entertainment purposes he’s actually quite a reserved gentleman!!! Go Maggies! Go Superbad! Go Giants!

Here for the US World Cup game. Great crowd and awesome for watching sports. The bartenders are quick and efficient, and the drinks fairly priced. You will get a young and raucous crowd here, but it is great for a night out, day drinking, or cheering on the US in Brazil. They often have live music and happy hours. Stop by when you are out in North Beach and you won’t be disappointed.

Awesome bar! Great drinks, and every weekend there is live music. Just a great place to come and get a pint with your friends. Fair warning, this place does get super packed when there is a live band. Expect a line and a wait for a drink!
