Alison Hunter, LAc OMD FABORM

Dr. Alison Hunter is a warm, kind, attentive, experienced and very knowledgeable about infertility. I highly recommend Dr. Hunter for anyone having difficulty conceiving. My husband and I tried to get pregnant for more than 2 years, and after two failed IVF I started going to her. Within few months of treatment with her, I became pregnant with my daughter who is now 3 years old and continued to see her throughout my pregnancy for pregnancy maintenance. I truly believe that my acupuncture sessions with her as well as her wonderful support helped me make my high risk pregnancy much more stable which in turn resulted in my beautiful baby girl.

I had no trouble conceiving my first child at age 34– but miscarried 14 times while trying to conceive my second. My Doctors did not know what was wrong with me and I was devastated. I saw other acupuncturists who only made my heartbreak worse by telling me it was my worries and stress killing my pregnancies. After a few miscarriages of course you are worried it could happen again as it is heartbreaking!
Enter Dr. Hunter. By the time I met her I was broken in spirit– but finally had a clue that my immune system was to blame for my losses. She was the only alternative practitioner I saw– and I saw about 10– who knew what she was talking about and understood what was happening in my body.
She knew what to do to calm my immune system and supported me though immute treatments through the Beer Center as well as ivf with Dr. Zouves.
I am so grateful to have met her– she was a calming presence and made me feel confident that things would be alright even as I had a terrible bleeding episode at 6 weeks.
I will be forever grateful for the support she gave to me and the comfort she provided to me during a very stressful time.
My son gets to be a big brother because of Dr. Hunter– and we have two gorgeous kids.
Not only did she help us to get pregnant– and stay pregnant– she also knew just what to do to ease some post-​partum anxiety I was experiencing. Within days of seeing her I felt like myself again.
I have recommended her to many people with confidence as she is a specialist in fertility, miscarriage, immune issues, and pregnancy.

Went to see Dr. Hunter because I have been trying to conceive for over a year. Had about two months of sessions then she stopped returning my emails… Normally I would just move on to someone else but something as personal as infertility is hard enough. I trusted her and she let me down.
