I came here for some dim sum with a friend on Wednesday. I have never heard of this bakery before, but apparently it’s pretty popular in SF. Their dim sum is pretty cheap, $ 1.85 for 3 of one item and their dim sum is huge! The shiu mai was the size of a golf ball! Too bad it was undercooked and really oily. The translucent chive dumpling was at least twice the size of what you get at regular dim sum places. We ordered so much food that we had some left over for later. Here’s what we ordered for only around $ 17!(Cash only) 3 pork shiu mai — undercooked and oily 3 beef shiu mai — tender, but had a weird taste, oily as well 3 ha gaw(shrimp dumpling) — ok 3 chive dumpling — ok, skin was very thick 3 char shui bao(steamed pork bun) — huge and tasty, lots of bread, but it was very fluffy. 3 daikon cake — too dry, tasted like it had been sitting around for a while, not fresh. 2 egg tarts — very good with thick flaky crust(they sell 6 for $ 5) 3 custard buns — very good, custard was not centered in the middle of the bun though 2 pineapple buns — very good as well, and again the filling was not centered in the middle of the bun They ran out of the Lo Mai Gai(sticky rice with meat in lotus leaf) otherwise we would have gotten some of those too, haha. The real stand outs for me are the steamed pork buns and their baked goods, egg tarts, custard buns and pineapple buns. If you’re looking for cheap and huge dim sum, this is your place. Plus you don’t have to drive all the way to SF! Just remember this place is cash only!

Great place! So happy that a branch has opened in san jose, now i don’t have to go all the way to milpitas for tasty dimsum tastiness. Plus there is cheap $ 1 pearl tea that is surprisingly not bad :)

Great place to eat. It’s difficult to find good Chinese buns around San Jose. Try the onion bread. It is not the easiest place to spot, but you will want to return once you’ve tried some of the items on the menu.

I stopped by Good Mongkok this past weekend and was so excited to see a new Chinese bakery. The employees were very friendly and greeted us immediately. They just opened the beginning of June, and I hope that they continue to do well because their bakery items were delicious. I got the custard buns, which were large and very tasty. I also had the mochi balls with shredded coconut on the outside and crushed peanuts and sugar on the inside. These were super fresh and very good. You could tell that they had just made the mochi balls that morning. Most of the food items are dim sum – they have both ready made and frozen bbq pork buns, shrimp balls, dumplings, etc. They also have milk tea and smoothies.
