Richmond Airport Hotel

It’s only 15 minutes out from all of the great rva attractions/​vcu. I came to stay here for one night over the weekend for the rva wine expo. It was a comfortable stay, the only slight downside was that the bathroom light was dim, other than that there wasn’t any sign of bed bugs or uncleanliness. It used to be a double tree by hilton so the big comfy rooms is a given. The service was in and out great. All around a perfect hotel stay for a price that’s unbeatable.

If it were possible to give 0 stars that would be most fitting. We booked through Expedia and choose this hotel as it was halfway through our travel back from vacation and had 3 out of 5 stars as well as a reasonable price. Check in was painless. I got our key cards and went on to find room 128. When entering our room, we immediately noticed paint peeling from a ceiling access panel which I pointed out to my fiancé. Being tired we got the kids in bed, my fiancé was in the bathroom when suddenly someone apparently used the water in a room above us. I thought my fiancé had jumped into the shower. Only after about 10 seconds, we were greeted by a torrential downpour in the doorway to our room as well as in the bathroom. Upon rushing out, we informed the manager who did not seem at all surprised by this occurrence. The water was flowing through the peeled paint we noticed when coming in and in similar cracks in the bathroom. As such, it seemed apparent that such downpours were a known and accepted «feature» of a Hotel Richmond Airport stay.

Had another great experience here. Price is very reasonable. You can leave your car here and they will shuttle you to the airport. Everyone at the hotel works hard to make sure their customers have a good experience

The hotel itself is really worth it for what I paid. The staff is priceless. Every staff member I encountered was so personable and so kind. The facilities need a little maintaining I guess but for what I paid it was really great.
