Been looking for a place that can do a decent haircut and not too pricey. I came here on a Sunday afternoon. It’s a small place with 2 chairs, but they have a parking lot in the back. My first time here, so I needed to provide a lot of direction. I wanted a simple men’s fade, but the top remained long and the bottom was short. About the third time, I think he got the hint and did the right blending. Current pricing for a men’s haircut is $ 12. Only complaint is that the blending I asked for on the side was not great. But for a $ 12, i’ll give it another chance. Hopefully they’ll know what i’m looking for. Overall not bad.

My biggest issue was the lady wielded her clippers on my hair like a gardener would use a lawn mower! I ended up with a buzz cut! Not a great customer service experience.

This looks like a house converted into a business, and there’s a small unlit parking lot in the back. I would’ve gotten the shady vibes if it weren’t for reading all the reviews saying how awesome this place is. The inside is small with only three hair cutting stations and no chairs for people waiting. Fortunately when I came by, there was no wait. The Vietnamese lady cutting my hair didn’t speak much English, but she understood what I wanted and executed it well. She was meticulous in taking the time needed to give me a good fade and make things look even. However, two complaints. First, with one of the clipper attachments she was using, the clippers were pulling my hair a LOT. Second, when I got home I noticed that my sideburns were noticeably uneven(the only meticulousness fail), but nothing that my trimmer at home couldn’t fix. The cost came out to a reasonable $ 10, which I paid with a credit card. The owner(Maria) who was ringing me up was nice but requested that I bring cash next time. I understand that merchant fees suck, but that’s one reason why I tip generously. Accepting credit cards but discouraging customers from using them is tacky; a better method is to offer incentives for paying in cash. All in all, I got a haircut that I’m pretty happy with, without breaking the bank. Despite the minor fails, I would definitely come back.

Great haircuts by both Tom and Maria! Tom did the best highlights ever done on my very long hair! Referred many others and they have never been disapointed! Parking in the rear lot behind the building.

We just moved to Santa Clara and were walking by on El Camino and stumbled across this place. I went there today to get my a few inches taken off my hair. she did a good job. just walked in, not a very long wait which was nice. My boyfriend got his haircut also, no complaints. $ 10 for him, $ 12 for me… not bad. Its within walking distance from our home which we really like that. I will be going back to color my hair.

I trust Maria 100% with my hair. She’s never messed up, and I’ve been going here for about 3+ years now. Tom’s done my hair once or twice, and he gets 5 stars, too. It’s nice coming to a place where they know you and your hair, and you can just let go and let them take care of things for you.

I am so utterly sad. I strolled in on a Thursday night, looking for a bang trim. I don’t know what was going on, but I had a front-row seat to the monstrosity that was being created on my head. I have side swept bangs and for whatever reason, whatever she was doing did not make it look like the shorter version of what I had when I came in. Now, my bangs are uneven icicles on my forehead and I’m so ashamed and embarrassed that they are going to stay clipped until they’ve grown out enough for me to fix them elsewhere. I had some high hopes for this place, but after that, no more!

This was by far the best haircut I have ever received. Tom was very detailed, asked questions and studied my hair before touching it. He took time to make sure my hair was evened out, and even looked closely to get those annoying hairs that are left over. He isn’t much of a conversation maker, but hey, I wanted a good haircut, not a conversation. Not only was this the best haircut, it was also the cheapest. He deserves more than $ 10 for the fantastic cutting job he provided. I will be going to this place from now on.

I’ve been getting my hair cut by Maria for over a year now and she always does a wonderful job. The name of her shop«Exact Cuts» is spot on because she takes the right amount of time and care to cut my hair with precision every time. Always friendly and professional.

Outstanding. I had a great experience with Helen and Maria, they are both very personable. A quaint little off the beaten trail, I just stumbled on this place and do not regret it. Must say just about the finest cut I have received in this area. A long time customer in me they have found.

The person I usually got to has reduced her hours so it saddens me that I had to look for a new place! So I was doing some searching on Unilocal and found myself giving this place a call. I called in and said I would come in around 12. No one else was there besides the two who own the place. The gentleman(I believe his name is Tom) told me to take a seat and asked how he would like my haircut. I told him and he proceeded to fade my hair, I was a bit nervous because he was using a step ladder to stand on to cut my hair. I was literally holding my breathe freaking out something was going to go wrong! But in the end the haircut came out exactly like I get it from my usual person. One thing I know is when you go to someone for the first time I feel like they always mess up your hair, but Tom didnt! He didnt talk much while he was cutting my hair but maybe next time I’ll break the ice. All I know is my haircut was awesome and I only paid 10 bucks for it! They also take card which was so convenient for me. I will make sure I call in and ask for Tom again. I am leaving it a 4 star rating for now until I go back a few more times.

I have been having haircuts from Tom since this place opened 7 years ago. He was great and being very careful trimming every time. Both Tom and Maria are very friendly. They always make sure that you have the best cut. The place is easy to find, and has a big parking space in the back. I am definitely recommend this place, and will continue to go here for my haircuts.

As with the other reviewers, I have been visiting Tom and Maria for a few years. Maria typically cuts my hair and we’ve reached a point where she knows what I want without much input from me. For the new initiates: She is good at taking directions and didn’t disappoint from the first haircut on. I do have to recommend that you opt for the shampoo service after a haircut. It’s about $ 3 more and you get a quick head massage while she works the shampoo in. The total time for the service is maybe 5 minutes, but it’s well worth the $ 3. You feel refreshed and she really gets all of those little hairs off of your scalp so you can go do other things without shedding all over the place. Some days can be quite busy, but there are usually at least two people working. Note: I’ve only had haircuts from Tom and Maria and the majority have been with Maria. I cannot comment on the quality of the other hair stylists. If you find Tom to be your favorite, he only works Monday through Friday. Maria is there seven days a week(which often includes holidays).

I decided to take my maid of honor(my sister) to get a manicure a few hours before my engagement party, to celebrate the fact that we had finally finished planning everything. I happened to get a coupon in the mail for this place for an $ 8 manicure, so I decided to try it out. Even though it was Saturday afternoon, they took both of us right away. They only had one manicurist on staff that day, but she was extremely nice and very friendly and was chatting with me and my sister. She did an excellent job and now, 4 days later, my french manicure still looks fresh. While we were there, her brother(he cuts hair in the salon) came over and gave me and my sister additional coupons. We didn’t need them though, since I believe $ 8 is the standard price they charge for a manicure. So $ 8 for my sister and $ 10 for my french manicure. She did such a great job on our nails that I gave her a $ 10 tip and made an appointment for a pedicure for me and my fiancé for the next day! * * * Came back the next day with my fiancé and they had two manicurists to do our pedicures at the same time. I had the same lady from the day before and she took extra time painting my toes. She didn’t just slap the nailpolish on like they do at most other places. The other lady took her time massaging my fiances legs and feet which is the whole reason guys get pedicures in the first place. I really liked the cool mint mask they put on my legs and feet and the hot towel wrap, I had never had either of those before. I highly recommend this place, you can’t beat a $ 15 pedicure!
