One of my favorite restaurants for sashimi! fresh and very generous with their cuts! I always get the salmon sashimi and I feel like they give me an entire cut of salmon. I’ve had salmon, hamachi, hotate, ikura, saba, butterfish, uni sashimi and various rolls. all very good! Service is great and they are very accommodating to your requests. I love restaurants that are not stingy with their servings, makes me feel happy to pay. make sure you stop by for lunch or dinner!

Great sushi place. Been here so many times yet for some reason, I still haven’t written a review. Tonight, we got the veggie tempura, seaweed salad(2 orders because it was that delicious!) and all 3 of their vegan rolls. Always received great service here. The staff is so friendly! We’ll be back!

The sushi was fresh, the price was outstanding, however, the unagi was limp. There is no excuse for not having crispy edges on the unagi. They heat the unagi in a microwave — SIN!!! Get a toaster oven, take the few extra minutes and serve up some proper unagi.

We went here for lunch on a Sunday at about 12:30pm. The sushi, sashimi, chirashi, Don Buri, Sahimi, pork katsu were all excellent. We really enjoyed this place. We went on a Sunday at 12:30pm. At that time it was not overly crowded. By the time we left it was packed. So, it does fill up depending on meal/time of day. The place was very clean. I used the bathroom and found it to be very nice and clean. Parking may be a bit of a challenge. When we went there were a few spots open. When we left there was no spots left and people were driving around looking for spots. The restaurant is located in a strip mall that includes several other eating places. I suspect this creates a bit of competition for parking. The food was all excellent. Very high quality sashimi and the sushi was excellent. We had several other non sushi/sahimi dishes that were wonderful. Several hours later nobody in our party is suffering from excessive thirst so the amount of msg used must be zero or very low. The Katsu was prepared with caramelized onions which I haven’t seen at other places I have been. It added a great deal to the taste. The rice in chirashi was flavordull, moist, and tasty to the last bite. The sashimi portion size was bigger then I am use to seeing and that may have explained the premium on price. Price… well expensive. This is a deep pockets place. Esxpect to pay out some cash. We ate a lot and it was over $ 200 which is the most I have ever paid for a family of four at a sushi place. Service was excellent. We had a waiter, John, who took really good care of us. Food came at a reasonable pace, and he checked for refills on drinks more then once. Décor is nice and the noise level is acceptable. They have a lot of wall, but some curtains and cushions on the benches that helped the noise level a bit I am sure. We totally enjoyed our experience and anticipate returning for future delicous meals.

Very friendly & fast service and the environment is so fancy, price is decent sushi is never cheap. Their muscles have this sauce on top and it’s really good if only it was cheaper so I can but a lot :). Dagon roll is my favorite roll from there!

My newfound love for sushi led me to this place. I have been here a couple of times for lunch. They have a wide range of options for sushi and sashimi. I have tried their rainbow rolls and loved it. Their spicy salmon tuna rolls are also decent but I rather prefer the plain rolls without the spicy sauce on top. The prices are very reasonable and you get 6 – 8 rolls per order. Only recommendation I have is that the rolls are a bit too big, I would prefer smaller rolls instead. Overall a good sushi experience, will go back again.

Pros: decent servings per dish. Waitress very attentive. Menu includes omakase Cons: prices high(in my opinion). Quality fish is okay(not to die for) — not poor just average. This spot is just your usual sushi spot. Lots of sushi rolls to choose from. Nothing special.

This sushi restaurant was amazing. To be honest I didn’t expect it to be. Something about their name and they’re sign made it look like a franchise and I was expecting extremely mediocre quality of fish. I was blown away by their level of service and quality of fish. It was excellent. I think their pricing is also quite decent! You can go home full and happy with not the biggest sushi tab which is completely normal in the peninsula.

We always come here for company lunch, either take out or dine in. It’s a pretty good place with decent sushi and service. I’ve tried a lot of their special rolls and all have been pretty good. I also tried their seafood udon and that was delicious. Always large portion and filling.

Average sushi rolls. Good value though. They have a lot of to go orders, which meant our order took a while… Service was okay. Ambiance is kind of loud.

This place is slipping from my sushi roster. Yesterday one of the sushi chefs was sneezing all over the bar area. Even if he was directing his uncovered blast to a corner that’s not something you EVER want to see around raw fish. Yuck. Hope we don’t get sick. They also have a rushed atmosphere with wait staff that hovers behind you until you order more or you feel like leaving. Send your sick staff home and let your customers relax.

I’ll start out with the good: the ambiance was nice and the servers were sweet. Unfortunately the sashimi was subpar. Very disappointed with the toro which was stringy in certain places. Most tables ordered rolls so maybe that is what we should have done.

Came at around noon on a weekday and the place was packed. We put our names down for a table for 2 and had to wait about 20 minutes. It’s a popular place for the engineers in the area… including those from my own company. We ran into two other separate parties while waiting, haha. Got a combo with two items — was advised against 3 items since portion sizes are really generous. I got tempura and mackerel. The tempura came with one shrimp, and just a few other veggies. The mackerel was marinated and grilled right and was yummy. Confirmed the big portion sizes — I was stuffed full after finishing my items, and didn’t even touch the rice. Overall a pretty normal place, it was a bit noisy and crowded inside, per a regular lunch place that’s trying to serve as many as possible during the daily lunch rush. I wouldn’t mind coming back and trying the sashimi, which I hear is pretty good.

Dinner for 2. — Ambiance(3⁄5) Kind of a stark interior but clean and not too loud. — Service(5⁄5) Quick and efficient. Server also made good suggestions. — Assorted Nigiri(4⁄5) Prices obviously varied. Some we ordered were sake belly(4⁄5), hamachi belly(5⁄5), toro(4⁄5), uni(4⁄5), mirugai(3⁄5), hotate(3⁄5), and amaebi(4⁄5). Very good overall and we also appreciated the fresh wasabi root added on the hamachi and toro. — Hamachi Kama, $ 12.95(3⁄5) Standard hamachi kama. Not too hard to cook this considering the high fat content. But, I thought the dipping sauce was rather subpar. — Vegetable Udon, $ 10.95(3⁄5) Broth was good, veggies were plentiful, but I thought the noodles were a little bit overcooked. — Value(4⁄5) Prices on the sushi were very reasonable, and the quality was quite good. — Final Word There were enough average scores on the hamachi kama and vegetable udon, that I feel a bit conflicted giving Sushi O Sushi a 4, but I thought the sushi+value were too hard to overlook.

As a new homeowner, I’ve gained more of an appreciation for interior architecture. So when I saw Sushi O Sushi’s modernly chic stone storefront, I had a feeling even before stepping inside that the place would be renovated like«Total Home Makeover». Yep, you got your stone walls, hardwood floors and modern lighting to set the mood. And you pay for it in the price of your food. A roll for 14 bucks? Dang, I know sushi isn’t the cheapest thing, but I can get good sushi cheaper even in Downtown Mountain View. We ordered edamame($ 4.95) for an appetizer. Can’t really go wrong there, but the salt on the edamame shells was purely decorative, as the edamame inside tasted very normal and unsalted. The combo plate seemed like it would provide the most value($ 11.50 for two items or $ 14.95 for three), so I ordered that with chicken teriyaki and California rolls, while my compatriots ordered various rolls($ 13.50 — $ 13.95). My plate came with a reasonable amount of chicken but it was just a little on the dry side. The California rolls were decent, as was the miso soup that was included. I swiped some of my friends’ rolls and the texture and taste were generally good, though I wasn’t really a fan of the lemon slice in the Pink Dragon Roll. Novelty has its place, but sometimes tried and true wins. At the end, I was nearly full, and everybody else probably a little less so. I’m not really itching to come back; there are plenty of other sushi joints in the area which hopefully aren’t as pricey.

The super white tuna is what keeps me coming back to this sushi spot. The fish is always fresh, the service is quick, and I always have a full happy belly when I leave. I recommend trying the Chirashi, tempura, all of their sashimi, and any of their specialty rolls. They are all really good. It is hard for me choose just one each time I visit Sushi O Sushi. The only bad part about this place is the parking lot. The parking lot is very small and is always packed. I recommend parking in the Jiffylube parking lot if you come after Jiffylube closes(you cannot park there while Jiffylube is open).
