Cathy Jean Shoe Store

DO NOT SHOP HERE. This is my first Unilocal review so I’m not one of those people who bashes businesses for the fun of it. I bought a pair of shoes for my daughter who decided they were too high. I had the original receipt, the shoes were in perfect condition (had not been worn) and I was returning them within the 30 day period. This was 12÷20÷14 in the evening. They were NOT ON SALE. The sales girl would not do a return because I didn’t have the box. Now, if these were individual designers I might understand the difficulty in reselling them without a box. But… this is CATHY JEAN where all the boxes are the same! They have hundreds of generic boxes in the back. How hard would it be to put a new sticker on them? Also, I always ask for my shoes in a bag (without the box) because when I shop it gets way too cumbersome to carry my items around if I have several boxes of shoes to carry. NO ONE MENTIONED WITHOUT THE BOX THE SHOES WERE FINAL SALE. Other shoe stores honor returns without boxes. Madden and Macy’s even ASK if I want the box (awesome customer service at these other stores). I guess the staff at Cathy Jean, Valencia is taught zero common sense. Will not shop here again. Too many good shoe stores in the mall to bother with this one anymore. Now I know why it’s always slow in there when the rest of the mall is hopping.
