Came for a quick dinner before going to the mall because I was in the mood for some sort of noodle dish of the Asian persuasion(sorry if that’s not politically correct). We had been here before a couple years ago and it was always busy. Since we were there for early dinner, we had the place to ourselves. My son got the kids chicken teriyaki dinner and I went with shrimp pad-thai and egg rolls. Chicken teriyaki was average tasting, the pork egg rolls had good flavor but were very greasy. Pad-thai was bland this time, not much flavor from the sauce and it was missing the crushed peanuts. Service was slow even though we were the only ones there, Pei-wei’s food is o. k in a pinch but Valencia has much better restaurants around, Aloha

This place was great! First time coming and will definitely return! My friend and I went to check it out after a long day and were pretty pumped in the scene. Sat at the bar and had a few cold ones. The cook Joe was really friendly. See you guys soon, Pei Wei!

Ordered Kung poa chicken… Terrible. Yuck. It was salty and disgusting. Hence«fast food Chinese» never going back.

BEWARE: shady business. Ate here with my friend, whom left her sunglasses at the counter and when she walked back up, the red haired employee made weird excuses telling my friend she probably left it somewhere else or another customer took it. Even though nobody else came in as it was dead and she clearly had it with her prior to paying. She called the manager later and obviously is being supported by management because there are«no cameras in this restaurant.» Can’t review on the food as this left a bad taste in our mouth. All other restaurants have been nice in returning stuff. SHADYEMPLOYEES, SHADYMANAGER will not get our future business support.

The people at Pei Wei are wonderful to their regular customers! They did me a great favor by letting me pay later when I forgot my credit card, but when I returned to pay the bill, they said it was taken care of! I’ve been there so many times and the food is always excellent, consistent and delicious. We usually call ahead and order meals to go, and they are always ready when we arrive, and hot. My husband gets the Kung Pao chicken and loves it. I order various dishes and am always happy with my order. Spicy means spicy, so be sure of what you order, which is indicated on the menu. Five stars easily!

The food is very good, cooked fresh and hot. But the fancy soda machine needed the ice replenished(why this model doesn’t make its own ice, I can’t understand), so the employee took the lid off and set it down on its edge, on the restaurant floor next to the drains. Disgusting! This was Thursday May 19 at 2:30 pm — the restaurant was running slow at that hour. There were teen boys who came to get their condiments and their dirty sneakers were actually bumping against the lid of the ice machine. I took a photo from where I was sitting and sent it to the corporate office to make them aware. I really hate to see employees not tend to the equipment in a responsible, clean manner. They have been responsive to correction in the past, seems every time I go, something not so good happens. We may not be back as a result. There are only so many chances to give a restaurant to do a good job. Perhaps they need a new manager.

Liked it even better this time around! No line up at all, very friendly clerk and my dish was so delicious and less salty than the Kung Pao I had had before. I got the small sized orange peel chicken on brown rice. Was thrilled to know I could order it extra spicy! I wished it had been hotter, but that could just be me!(You can get chili paste on the side too) The dish had those killer snap peas that wow me each time with their fresh crispiness and some nice, thinly sliced carrots. The brown rice was borderline underdone/crunchy. I ate every bite though, I am ok with underdone rice over overcooked rice(food crime). Some would have returned it though, I am sure. I was offered a cup to have some water while I waited. Restrooms were clean. This quick visit makes me crave that dish and I am anxious to go back. Orange Peel chicken, forever! LOL!

Didnt knock my socks off but it was pretty good. Kind of confusing way to order food but I guess it sets them apart. A bill for 3 people was $ 46 Mongolian style beef w/noodles large size Mongolia style beef w/noodles regular size Caramel style shrimp w/noodles A cup of soup And 4 crab wontons so kinda pricey. The food was good enough but if Im being honest I expected more for the money… Wop. wop…wooooppppp. Probably won’t be coming back in… Wish there was a better option for fresh-ish asian fusion. More reasonable with selection. Ordering and overall value. 3 stars is for freshness

Sadly, we obtained just about the worst take-out Sweet and Sour Shrimp(GF) ever on 1÷31÷16. The vegetables and the brown rice were under-cooked, virtually raw. The food got cold very quickly even though we drove only about a quarter mile from the restaurant to our home. This entrée was a TOTALDEPARTURE from our usual meal experiences when we have eaten at the restaurant. We are NOT panning Pei Wei, but we hope this review may stimulate the manager and staff to take more care in preparing a take-out meal because we truly were very disappointed.

The customer service was good and the food was delicious. I had the Asian chopped chicken salad and definitely almost finished the entire regular sized bowl! Yum! I’ll definitely have to come back to try the ahi tuna next time.

My favorite food diner in Santa Clarita. I recommend Orange Peel Chicken or Kung Pao Steak or Shrimp with fried rice– delicious! Pei Wei has greatly improved upon my first experience dining with them– the rice is less oily, bolder flavor, they have begun cutting the chicken differently(slivers instead of large cubes) and they no longer drown their food in sauce and now put a reasonable amount. Plus, the Coke Freestyle machine is a great attribute! Also love the rewards program that offers a free meal ever so often after a reasonable amount of visits.(500 points when you sign up and after that 10 points for every dollar spent and once you get 1000 you get any size entrée free) My only reason for 4⁄5 stars is that it’s not as clean as I would like. A few times I have grabbed forks and spoons from the refreshment counter and they still have food on them, they clean the tables with the same rag, causing it to be sticky sometimes, and the bathroom sometimes has toilet paper and paper towels all over the floor. If you ask for noodles instead of rice with your protein, they give you something oddly reminiscent of spaghetti. Also, almost every time the male employee takes my order, he gets it wrong. I’m sure it’s an honest mistake though. Definitely would recommend this place, with just a few tweaks to the cleanliness and menu they could be the best!

A disappointing meal. I used to love it here. I’m not sure what’s going on but while the food comes out hot out of the pan, the food has become rather bland. My tofu and vege pad thai was spicy but flavorless.

I have been to Pei Wei many many many times and I have been to several different locations. The one in Newport off Jamboree is always excellent, I wish this location was as good. The food is hit and miss but a few items are always good like the cream cheese wontons… mmmm. The hot and sour soup is tasty with a thick consistency. On this day I ordered chicken fried rice which looked excellent. The flavor was odd, it was spicy, fried rice should have many flavors that when combined smell and taste wonderful. For some reason the his was chili oil fried rice. Interestingly enough my lady had tofu pad Thai and she said the same thing. She said the pad Thai was burning her mouth. The new rolls they have are small but very good. You can’t beat the 100 flavor soda machine. I will continue to come here I just wish the dishes were as good as they look.

Seriously, you can’t go wrong with Pei-Wei. The price is great, the food is delicious, the setup is pleasant, and the customer service is friendly but at a minimum. This location is always a place we stop to grab some yummy«fast» but tasty Chinese food when going on road trips to Universal Studios. I’ll definitely be back but if I could change something — it would be the bathrooms. It’s very dingy and not so clean compared to other Pei-Wei locations I’ve been to(in SCAL and Arizona). Once that element of the restaurant is improved then I’d definitely give them a full-5 stars!

So since the last review I did was three years ago I thought I would write a brief update. We go to this location around once a month. Location is on the opposite side of the street from the mall here in SCV and parking is never an issue. There should be an extra star for the service here because all the people who work here are very friendly and recognize me when I come in… I mean, hey I’m Big Mike… why wouldn’t they right? Seriously they are very friendly and always helpful if you are undecided. My usual is the Chicken Pad Thai with extra sauce… have it that way next time and don’t order the sauce on the side, but put in there since it gives it extra flavor. Recently had the Thai Dynamite… it was Dyno… Might!!! I wouldn’t compare this to Panda Express, it is made fresh to the order and not siting around for orders. Really good food and good prices for those who are looking to go to P.F. Chang try it here for a lot cheaper.

I would love to come here more often. As it is, I only come once in a while but that is not because I don’t love it, because I do. This Asian cuisine is fast, good food. It is far better quality and taste than Panda Express. The atmosphere is nicer too. I have never ordered something that I dislike, although there are some dishes I prefer more than others. My favorite is the Mongolian beef plate. It comes with white mushrooms(cooked in a wok is the only way I like mushrooms), scallions, garlic and sweet soy sauce. You can choose noodles, brown or white rice. There are many different plates to choose from, i.e. kung pao, Thai dynamite, Orange peel, honey seared, etc and now they have sushi too. All the food seems fresh, the vegetables are crispy and everything tastes great. I have no idea if it is, but it also feels healthier going down too. On that health note, they have several beers to choose from to wash down your meals. I always appreciate this touch at a place like this. Or they have the Coke freestyle machine too, for those of you that«are above» drinking the devil’s nectar. The service is always great. They cleaned our table before we even had a chance to leave. And when I do leave, I’m always happy.

I think I rather go to Panda instead of coming back to Pei Wei. Just to give a reference point, I haven’t been to Panda in at least 8 years… Entered the Valencia location and looked over the menu. It looked promising. From light fare like: Sushi, salads, and lettuce wraps to fresh wok-cooked entrees, to even gluten-free items. I saw that Pei Wei was offering a Thai influenced dish so I went in. So how it works is that you choose a protein(shrimp, chicken, beef) or veggies/tofu, then a starch(brown rice, white rice) or combine your chosen protein with a noodle bowl. I chose the chicken Thai Dynamite(Sriracha chile sauce, soy, fresh lime, scallions, red bell peppers, carrots, Thai basil) with brown rice. Sounds good right?! Well, the chicken was fried and dry. The rice clumpy. And the Thai influence you ask? Well probably still in Thailand… The only thing great about the place was that they have one of those Coke Freestyle machines that holds 100+ flavors of Coke drinks… Staff was friendly…

I was in the area running some errands and a friend recommended I try this place and I am so happy I did. The place is extremely clean, we were greeted right as we walked in. The nice lady at the counter took her time to help us pick out what we wanted, which was much appreciated. I ordered a shrimp dish with lo mein noodles and Mongolian sauce. It tasted wonderful. As an appetizer we got the egg rolls, which were also very good. My main complaint is that it was a bit pricey for the food we got. My dish alone was about $ 15, yes the portions are large, but that is a bit steep for a fast food type of place. Overall good experience and I will definitely be back again when I’m in the area.
