Plager Vision and Optometric Center

This is the best optometric center I’ve been to. My only complaint is that it was hard to find! Even so I had a really great experience.
Dr Bailey is an excellent, kind doctor who really listens. You can tell he cares. The prescription he wrote for my lenses is on point. What other doctors failed to tell me about my right eye was that I had astigmatism in it which explained a lot of the issues I had been having. My eyes are now in the best shape ever. When I went to go pick out my glasses frames, the ladies there were so awesome. They helped me pick out my glasses and we spent over an hour just talking! Such nice people.
This, like I said, is the best place in the Santa Cruz area for an eye doctor.

Came here for my very first glasses. I haven’t had an eye exam since elementary school since I never needed them. Dr. Bailey is a great optometrist and even though I moved an hour away from Santa Cruz I will definitely drive there for my next appointment.

How has no one reviewed Plager Vision yet? Anyhow, in my attempt to max out succesful attempt to max out my Flex Spending account (pre tax medical.) I booked a FREE :) LASIK consultation with Dr Bailey/Furlong’s office. I was referred by a friend. So, I had a good starting point. Plus, I did a little research and Dr Furlong has performed over 20k surgeries. Anyhow, I met with Rhonda (Doctor’s assistant) and she was very informative. She evaluated if I was eligible for the procedure and went over the cost. I appreciated the fact that she has had the surgery and could give a candid opinion of the procedure.
Fyi– if then interested with surgery a pre-​op is scheduled with Dr. Bailey or. Dr Furlong depending on availability. This examine is more thorough: dilation, cornea ultra sound to verify thickness for surgery…
The surgery is scheduled for tomorrow. I will update post-​op with results.
