My go to place for breakfast in Santa Fe. If there is a better place nearby, I haven’t found it.

A Luke warm cappuccino, a virtually flavorless Santa Fe hot chocolate and two pastries(who doesn’t heat apple strudel?)…to make it worse… the total, before tip, $ 18.64. Ouch!

this place is in decline faster and faster… the water dumped my husband’s coffee all over his pants, waiter apologized and sent someone to clean, I realized that this was not going to work as the whole table was overflowing with the coffee, I immediately moved to another table, moved all our food, which they should have done, instead of waiting for the coffee to make it’s way to me. The waitress that came to clean up, cleaned the FLOOR first then with the same disgusting rag proceeded to clean the TABLE… I gave her such a look, that she went back to get a clean rag. My husband’s replacement coffee finally arrived, I stupidly assumed that at least he would take off the coffee as an apology, but they did not. The place looks and it’s dirty, the staff is clueless… they made the place smaller(who cares now, since so few people are going) to put a gallery in it. The whole experience was terrible, perhaps they sold it or changed management, but no one from the old crew was there some shady character kept on going to the back to behind the counter.

Started with a latte, mug was dirty around the rim. Prices on coffee menu weren’t consistent with the blackboard prices. Employees weren’t acting very professional with each other(whining, blaming each other for order mistakes), though they were dressed professionally. The savory crêpe that I ordered was okay. The most interesting thing on the plate was the gravy paired with the ham, egg and cheese crêpe– it had nutmeg or cinnamon in it and tasted pretty good. Was mostly turned off by the pricing and customer service. Obviously excellent food is worth the expense, but this place could do a little better.

Loved the huevos ranchero crêpe with Guyere cheese. So delicious and so beautifully presented. We accidentally stumbled upon this cute little restaurant on our way to view the Railyard District and were so glad we stopped in. The inside is cute; the backyard patio where we sat could use some sprucing up, though. The wait staff was friendly and efficient and sup

By far the best crepes and café au lait in Santa Fe. And the best croissants. And better still, our waiter was superb! If you haven’t had breakfast or lunch here. you are missing out!

Not very clean or maintained. Coffee was good. The whole place needs paint-up/fix-up. It had dead plants on patio, storage items in disarray.

The food was okay, nothing to write home about. Our sodas were flat. I had the watermelon feta salad that was a good portion and okay. Hubby had the Cuban– it said pork loin, so he was thinking he’d get a good hunk of meat and his sandwich had shaved ham… Once again, nothing to write home about.

This is my very first bad review of a restaurant– The service was that terrible. We sat out on the patio, and it took the server ten mins to come take our drink order, another 10 mins to deliver and take our food order. I ordered the two egg plate with sausage, toast and hashbrowns. My husband ordered a crêpe. It was 20 mins before they came out with the food. When they brought it they forgot my sausage and toast– which was half of what I ordered. When my husband asked where the sausage and bread was for my plate, the waiter tried to blame me for not ordering a meat. Which I 100% did because you had to pick between 3 choices. He said he’d bring some right out and when he did 10 mins later they were raw and blood was on the plate. My husbands crêpe was also completely cold. Other tables around us were also complaining about their food and the service— it wasn’t even very busy at the time we went on Monday. Too many other awesome restaurants in Santa Fe to waste a good meal on this restaurant.

Easy walk from the Guadalupe Hotel and many great shops and galleries, Friendly wait staff and amazing food! Went there for breakfast 3 out of 4 days on my recent trip. Fruit crêpe is to die for. Prices are more than fair!

Came here for breakfast on Sunday morning and was very happy with the meal. I had the French Toast with caramel sauce and fresh fruit and fresh squeezed orange juice. The restaurant was beautiful and inviting, and the service was good. It looked like a regular place for locals and regulars, but definitely welcoming to us visitors. It’s not terribly expensive, but a good value for the money. It’s near the Railyard, which is always fun to explore. I would probably come back on my next trip.

We literally wandered into this place because a guy was holding a sign, roses, and a big bottle of champagne. This was just before Valentine’s Day. They were to have live music so we ventured in to look at the menu. We were delighted to see Swiss-German food on the menu so decided to stay. The music was fantastic! The service was good, friendly, nice staff. The atmosphere was romantic(except the battery-powered candles). But the food was mediocre. We split a French onion soup and it had processed gruyère on it that was horrific. The jäger schnitzel we split was ok but had way too much wine in the sauce. I made the mistake of eating all my spaetzle and got a touch of food poisoning. My wife said they tasted off and didn’t take more than a bite. I spent a night planned for romance on the toilet. We lived in Germany so are a bit more particular about that type of food but getting sick from it is inexcusable. I would have given this place at least 3 stars if I hadn’t gotten sick. They obviously made the spaetzle on some other night and the eggs in it went bad. Such potential wasted. Hopefully the owner will get more involved.

A unique experience today, and probably my last here. I was to meet a friend from ABQ here instead of Clafouti’s, because the latter has difficult parking. Swiss BP&B has ample street parking and opens at 7:00. .. or so we thought. I arrived at 7:35. The lights were off, so I wasn’t sure the door was open, but it was. I walked into a deserted restaurant and knocked around for about five minutes as I waited for my friend. When she arrived, I called out, trying to get someone’s attention. No response, though I heard clattering in the back. I finally went back and asked if they weren’t open, and a worker said he had to go ask. He came back to say they’d probably be open at 8:00 today **because the owner had not shown up.** As a previous reviewer said, there’s nothing Swiss about it. The wait staff has never conveyed a sense of competence: orders confused, overly-familiar, hovering or disappearing. The food is good, even unusual, but not great. There are so many good restaurants downtown, I’m amazed that they are so lackadaisical in the face of so much competition. They’ve been in business for years, yet another reviewer says she hopes it will improve with time.

Wow! I decided to stop in at Swiss Bakery for brunch in Santa Fe this past weekend. I debated quite a bit on which place to go to — brunch is my favorite meal of the day, and I wanted to make sure that I found the best place in the city. I nearly went to a couple of other restaurants over this one based on better Unilocal reviews, but upon reviewing the menus, decided to stop at the Swiss bakery. I’m SO glad that I did, because I did indeed find the best brunch in Santa Fe, at least when it comes to crepes. Swiss bakery served me the best crêpe I’ve had in my short life: the Signature Swiss, filled with ham, egg, gruyère. The crêpe was delightfully light and fluffy, yet strong, and not too sweet. I’m still not sure what bechamel sauce is, but I’m convinced that it tied the whole crêpe together. The potatoes were a sort of hash, but not too crispy(just like I like it) and perfectly seasoned. I thoroughly enjoyed my brunch and, reminiscing now at 8:45 at night, wish that I could have one right now. I will definitely be returning for more insanely good crepes. That being said, the wait staff seemed a bit off. Or maybe it was just my waiter. He showed up at all the right times, but seemed somewhat socially awkward. But this is just a side note; I would return for another brunch in a heartbeat.

Food is always excellent. The service lacks customer service. The last 3 times in has not been busy and waited for a coffee refill for 15 minutes while 4 wait staff standing at the cash register. Service is much better when busy. Last time in my food was half ready. Part of the order out and waited on other half. Great food, character, just get the customer service down. They did comp our drinks after I asked why the slow refill and order time. Greatly appreciated.

I had such high, unfounded hopes for this place. I read the reviews before I came, but I’m stubborn and had to see for myself. Unfortunately, everyone else is right, this place is fairly mediocre. I almost passed the restaurant as I was looking for it, there is only a small sign letting you know where it is located. Upon entering the restaurant, you are greeted with a glass case of pastries that looks scrumptious. I was by myself since I was in Santa Fe for work, and once I was seated, I had a direct view to the back of the kitchen from my table. Every once in a while, I would catch some of the kitchen staff staring at me from inside. Awkward. I ordered the Santa Fe croissant with potatoes provencal. I was unimpressed. The croissant part was pretty good, but not amazing. It was filled with eggs, cheese, ham and green chiles, but it felt like it was nothing special. The potatoes were pretty awful. For the most part, they were undercooked, some raw in the middle. So disappointing! There are so many good restaurants in the Santa Fe area there is really no reason to visit this restaurant.
