I was very disappointed in my visit at honeycomb salon. I explain the look I wanted. I had multiple pictures. It was my first time so I knew the risk I was taking. Unfortunately I left with another cut that I’m unhappy with.
I’m more annoyed with her arguing with me after. Telling your client, I did what you asked when they showed you a picture and the end result is totally different is bad business. Then being followed with a «she has totally different hair» I just paid and left.
Won’t be back.

Brenda worked amazing magic on my hair!!! I had boxed dyed it red for almost a year and wanted to go to a light brown. She was able to tackle the project and hours later I walked out extremely happy with how it turned out! I found the salon by using Unilocal and I am now going to her from now on!!! Thanks so much once again Brenda!!!

FRANCESCA MARZIOLI — you are a saint. Five months ago I decided to ditch my level 10 blonde locks and go red. Like full on Airel. Francesca was so excited to transform me (she’s been doing my hair for 6 years) and try something different. Looked amazing. Anyway. I decided I wanted to go back to blonde. 174 foils and three and a half very patient hours later Fran got me half way back to being my blonde self, without making me go bald or having to cut my super long hair from breakage (yes, your hair will fall out and break, so don’t try this at home). A true hair magician!

This is my first time here and Angela did such an amazing job with my hair. I really did my research and I’m glad I chose her. I absolutely love her and I will most definitely be back.

I’m pretty picky when it comes to me hair (as most people are) but I take it to the next level. Not in the way like I’m obsessed with perfection but I follow hair stylists on Instagram that live all over the world, I read hair color blogs, and I have a favorite hair stylist from Instagram I’ve never seen in real life. To put it nicely I’m educated about current hair trends and techniques. So when my former hairdresser in SF stopped doing hair except for editorial work I was on the hunt. I tried a number of people in Sonoma county and countless times I was surprised that I was more current on trends and new advances then they were. I was trolling Instagram for a local artist (Sonoma and Napa county) that could achieve the look (see Anh Co Tran & Johnny Ramirez) I was after when I noticed a new account for Shelby at Honeycomb Salon in Santa Rosa. She had photos of her clients that were just what I was looking for and even had made comments about the stylist I was so inspired by (Anh ConTran) and she loved his work too. I was thrilled! I contacted her for both cut and color and sent her my inspiration photos and I could tell she totally got me. I have a fractured elbow and washing my hair is impossible and Shelby squeezed me in within a week a few days to start with my cut and shampoo/​blowdry and then the color will be next week. Not only am I super happy with my cut but conversation was easy and comfortable yet professional, the salon itself is darling (super clean too) and bigger than you’d think but not noisy and the sell and use great products including Olaplex (a must if you are highlighted or bleached or damaged — it’s a new miracle product) and my fav Capri Blue candles. Shelby has obviously been doing hair for many many years and is confident and not afraid to tell me no (bangs maybe not the best idea with my arm) but never at all in a «I know better» way. I rarely have found other hairdressers to really look at your face shape, hair type, and lifestyle to discuss your best look like Shelby does but it takes very little time too and you instantly feel her making a plan to achieve it. Look, I’m not trying to be over the top and gush and get client of the year award but I have tried a ton of salons and people for cuts and color all over the valley and Shelby is the real deal. She cares about keeping your hair heathy as much as giving you the look you want at a reasonable cost and is fast too! We forgot to take a before picture but maybe after my color appointment next week I’ll post some. Life’s to short for hair you don’t love so do yourself a favor and call Shelby if you want a experienced educated flexible talented honest warm and all around lovely stylist. Thank you Shelby for ending my 3 year search and for squeezing me in before my elbow surgery.

I got my hair done.

This place is super cute. Brenda Boccabella cut my hair recently and I absolutely loved it! I wanted lots of layers, volume and most important to keep most of my length. She LISTENED! I’ve been in Santa Rosa for 3 years and finally found someone who can cut my hair right, thanks to my colleague’s referral. :-) My layers showed up great and she kept most of my length. Oh and she didn’t take 2 hours to cut my hair.

Shelby is amazing! My daughter had her pixie cut today, in her words «the best haircut» she’s ever had. Definitely will be back. Shelby showed her pictures & was very in tune with what she was looking for. Awesome, can’t wait until the next time! Pleasing a 15 year old isn’t always the easiest, but it seemed like it today when we were there. Thank you Shelby!

Today I had a hair appointment in Santa Rosa with my dear friend Shelby Russell Neubauer. I’ve had the pleasure of having my hair done by her for 19 plus years at the same hair salon, but today I had the pleasure of going to her new hair salon Honeycomb. Although she didn’t move off 4^th street or far from her old salon. I do think that was a big benefit for me. (I would’ve gotten lost if the street would’ve changed.) LOL! What I can say is it was a great experience from start to finish! The parking and location was amazing! Parking didn’t cost me a dime for the first time in many years! Big plus! In all those years I had 1 parking ticket. Yep, just 1. I’m so very happy for her and of course I Iove my haircut & color. That didn’t change at all and that’s the important part! Keep smiling Shelby you wear it well! You’re a beautiful lady inside and out! Cheers to you my friend! XOXOXOXO!
You can’t go wrong with Shelby! I wouldn’t trust anyone else! I get complements daily on my hair cut and the rich color. I have short hair and it’s not easy finding someone that does such an amazing job as Shelby. Shelby listens to your needs and does her best at fulfilling your needs! I have been having my color, highlights and cut done by Shelby for years and having short hair, I see her often! When she announced she was moving I was so sad, but she has landed in a fabulous salon! Bright and beautiful with lots of parking and a warm and welcoming vibe! Still the same wonderful, creative, contemporary Shelby in a terrific new space! YAY!
