Our 7 year old son has been taking lessons from Stephen for the past two months. Stephen does a great job with our son and is very positive and encouraging. The Simply Music program came highly recommended and we are very pleased with our son’s progress after just two months.

I’ve been a student of Stephen’s for about eighteen months. I continue to be impressed with his teaching skills, commitment to the Simply Music method and his enthusiasm. As innovative as the S. M. method is, it must be in the hands of a competent and devoted teacher to be successful. Stephen is that teacher. When I reflect on my short piano journey, I’m amazed and grateful (at 69 years young) to sit at our piano at home and derive so much enjoyment. I have recommended Stephen to others, and to anyone that reads this review.

Stephen is an outstanding teacher and musician. I am a former student and peer of his from college. I experienced first hand, his true talent and hard work ethic. He is responsible and caring too! He studied music from top notch musicians such as Marilyn Thompson who performed at Carnegie Hall. You will be amazed at the experience of listening to Stephen play piano, or at watching him teach a lesson. He has my highest recommendation.

Stephen is a great piano teacher with the ability to work with many students at various skill levels. He is open and communicative with both the student and parents. He encourages students to follow their creative endeavors as well as hone their essential music basics and skills. We appreciate the work he’s done with our son and the consistent and open communication we’ve continually had.

Stephen Riedel teaches piano method in which it’s not only easy to learn, but is also enjoyable. From your first lesson you’re learning your first song, and from there on you build upon each new song ou learn. Every week you learn something new, if it’s an entirely new song, to a simple embellishment. The great thing about Stephens teaching is that you go totally at your own pace. For example, if you don’t remember something or are having trouble with a song, he make sures to go over it until you learn everything thoroughly. His 30 minute lessons fly by, and you go once a week. If you’re interested in learning piano, Stephens an excellent teacher for young or adult musicians.
