So sorry to find out they closed. :( We really liked the pizza as it was closest to NY style we could find, but we couldn’t visit often as we don’t make it out of the Eastside much anymore.

This is my favorite NY style pizza place in Seattle. Been eating their pizzas for almost 25 years(going back to the old Columbia Center location Todd and his family owned). Awesome thin crust cooked perfectly floppy. Outstanding toppings and house made meatballs. Good brews on tap. The service is outstanding(I am spoiled as a regular though). Marta rocks… she’ll treat you like an old friend. It’s the best… go.

Good pizza — crust is a little dry and they do not use enough seasoning(garlic/salt/red pepper) so the dishes tend to be a little bland. The salad portions are huge and quite tasty! Why 4 stars? Their meatballs are DELICIOUS!

I’ve been here 2 times since and it’s been overcooked both times. I’ve also decided it’s a little too pricey for pizza.

The pizza is bomb here… and you can fold it like a real NY pizza. The place is hella ghetto looking and it is only opened certain hours so it looks like the place is closed all the time. I’ve been here many times and never had a bad experience with the pizza. I don’t give 5 stars to pizza places unless it was Ray’s Pizza in NY or Zagi’s in Seattle(which closed down a while ago). So that’s why this place will get 4 stars.

We’ve been in the neighborhood for 9 years and recently started going to A NY Pizza place out of convenience even though the food isnt the greatest — but we’ll never go back after we met the owner tonight. He got every single thing on our order wrong and acted like we were an inconvenience when we asked him to bring us the correct order — he never once apologized even when he forgot to place our pizza order and we had been waiting almost an hour, or when he overcharged us for our order. The clincher came when he told me i didn’t tip enough and that i should just take my tip back(i had tipped 12% which was generous given the extremely poor service.)He also made a statement about not making enough money for all of this«shit» before going on about how different things are going to look soon(what?). I said don’t care what he makes — and expect to be treated with respect at a minimum regardless. Personally i don’t make enough to take my family out to dinner and be treated like that. I feel a little bad — maybe he is bi-polar or severely depressed, but his behavior was outrageous to say the least — all that and the food isn’t more than mediocre. You’re better off spending $ 50 at Pizza Hut…

I’m so happy to be even closer to pizzeria. This place helps satisfy my craving for NY style pizza. Whenever I want a big foldable slice of pizza, I come here. And they are all good. And their white pie is so very good. Over there years, we’ve had mostly good pies, though a few times it hasn’t been as good as their usually wares. Meaning the crust was usually overdone. Which is the only thing bad I could ever say about this place. The staff has always been nothing but wonderful and the best thing they do is they will sell you their pizza dough to make your own grilled pizzas at home. Something a lot of the pizzerias around town won’t do. I love you guys.

Great pizza. Authentic east coast pizza. They sell their dough in the QFCs around here. It cooks up well. Been here a ton. It really is east coast.

I’m a native New Yorker and as a result I’m pretty picky about my pizza. The pies here are very good. Nice sauce/cheese ratio, good toppings(the homemade meatballs are great). I wasn’t impressed with the crust, it was thin yet undercooked, perhaps the oven doesn’t get hot enough on the bottom. The reason why this Place gets only three stars is the clientele. I’ve been there on two Friday nights in a row, and both times the entire left-hand side of the restaurant was mobbed by yuppie parents and their undermanaged children. Which in turn, transformed the entire place into the play area at McDonalds. Parents, listen up. This is a kid friendly pizza parlor, however it’s not a birthday party destination – please stick to Chucky Cheese’s or Red Robin. At the very least, keep your children from turning a restaurant into a playground. And thanks for ruining a decent pizza joint for the rest of us.

For the prices here you shouldn’t have to get your own silverware, napkins and water. Food was ok — but two out of five of us got sick!

We «discovered» this place about a year-and-a-half ago, and I was so excited. This east coast transplant had finally found something close to east coast pizza in Seattle. Oh, happy day! We went back a couple more times and were always happy. Went back a couple of nights ago — for the first time in a while — and, unfortunately, did not find it to be so great. It was a lot more crowded than it had been in the past, but it was prime dinner time on a Friday night, so that was understandable. BUT, unfortunately, that led to the place seeming a bit«dirty.» Not«hasn’t been cleaned in a month» dirty, but«we’re so busy we can’t keep up and so the tables aren’t quite wiped down and the napkins three parties before you left on the floor under your table are still there» dirty. Still, yech! The pizza itself seems to have gone downhill. The dough, which some have called«crispy,» was just dry. I don’t even remember the sauce, so that tells you how much it impressed me. They do get points for offering green olives as a topping, which is a rarity. One other A New York Pizza Place negative is its limited hours. One time, we were heading north on a Saturday. We stopped by about 3:30PM for lunch and were surprised to find them closed. We stopped in again, on our way back, about 9:30PM, and were even more surprised to find they’d already closed! The staff here are very friendly and I know they are doing their best and mean well. But. since this a bit out of our way and we were not crazy about our latest experience, can’t see that we’ll be running back any time soon.

Worst pizza I’ve had in ages. This may be authentic New York pizza, it might. But it is awful. The crust was bland, the sauce was bland, and the pepperoni was sliced so thin I could barely taste it. fwiw, we had the Mickey Mantle(pep, sausage, onion & black olives). The sausage was great, but it couldn’t compensate for just how terrible the rest of it was. The service was fine, they were busy as all get out, but they were friendly. But, again, I’d rather have a Tombstone. I hate Tombstone.

This used to be my favorite place for pizza until I had Veraci pizza. Since this place is in my neighborhood, I still pick up their pizza when I feel like it. We just had their pizza recently and it feels that their crust is different. It was too crunchy and I didn’t care that much for it at all. I hope they bring back the old dough!

A pizza worthy of its name! The owner has worked hard to make his pizzas to perfection. The crust is thin, sometimes crisp at the crust, just like a true Italian pizza should be. Having lived in Monaco and eaten pizza in Italy several times, I’ve longed for that true crust for years since, and not found it in a pizza that also has a savory sauce with cheese that bubbles to a golden brown in spots. If you like lots of meat try the Godfather(meatballs, pepperoni, sausage and pepperoncini), and if you’re like and want something that compliments the cheese without overwhelming the pizza, try just adding a single ingredient like mushrooms(there will be lots) or grilled chicken(it will be tender). This restaurant also works with a delivery service(Restaurants On the Run) and can provide customers – only through the service – with delivery of pizza, salad, and even some of the catering sized pastas that the owner used to serve at Fremont Classic. Look for a new summer cake with mango and coconut he’s been working on – delicous, refreshing, divine!

FREECOOKIES that rock. Simple NYC Pizza that would get a 3 star in NYC, but yeah, it’s in Seattle, and FREECOOKIES,(and free twizzlers). We grabbed a large to go and almost had to sit down and just eat there, which will eventually be done. Yes, good here, good vibe, owners right there at the place, not for sure, but you could just tell, they cared that much.

Seattle’s best kept secret! I’m from north east Pennsylvania where there’s a little mom and pop pizzeria every other block and all of them are great. Seattle was a bit of a shock to me because it’s not like that here at all. I mean there are a few places that serve pizzas but this is the only real pizza I’ve had here in Seattle. It’s greasy(as it should be) and the crust is just lovely. Not thin like a cracker but not too thick either. It totally satisfies my east-coast pizza cravings. The house salad is great too! Their home made Italian dressing is fantastic. This comes LOADED with black olives so if you don’t like them much make sure you ask them to hold ‘em or to go light on them. I love watching the guy in the back hand-toss the dough. It makes me feel like I could just as easily be back in PA. Parking is usually pretty easy. There’s a residential side street just to the north of the pizzeria that often works, or if you’re lucky you can get a spot right out in front.

I LOVETHISPIZZA. Huge slices, that are crispy on the bottom. Their prices keep me from coming too frequently, but when I do, I’m always a happy camper. Get the Godfather, and don’t forget to splash some red-hot sauce on it(Tabasco, Tapatio, Chaluha(sp?), etc). It’s the best. We often bring it back home, as it’s either too crowded or hot inside. While the staff is super-nice, the crowds are often boisterous(it’s New York Pizza for cryin’ out loud). If that’s your«thang», then you’ll be right at home. A great place to take kids, if you can find room to sit.

I lurve me some pizza! I’d give this place 5 stars if it had some atmosphere and wasn’t up a steep hill. No fun when you’re biking or walking, but that’s not their fault, I suppose. Cool staff, good vibe, great crust, loads of toppings(on the slice and choices). The part that got me was the bin of fresh chocolate cookies(free: 1 per customer) that were sooo good. Don’t know if they’re always there, but I’ll go back to see. And for 2 more slices. Mamma-Mia!

Go here for a good slice of New York style pizza. The atmosphere is nice, not overdone, just a pizza joint. Good place to take the family and go grab a pizza, where you can actually sit down The pizza has a nice crust and you can get a number of toppings to suit your needs. The staff is very friendly and we had a great time there. Give it a try if you go by.
