Well all I have to say is… Great value nice people great food. The dinner was as expected with no disappointments. The hot sauce they serve is awesome(there are 3 kinds) although the hottest sauce is not gringo friendly. As for the décor, tables are very much the norm for this kinda place. The paint work inside is really well done for this style. We will be back many times.

If I could give zero stars I would. I have eaten here before and love to support local businesses but never again will I eat here. Our food was really gross, mine had hair in it and now I’ve been puking– diarrhea– chills since. Don’t eat here unless you want food poisoning. :/

Bad service old food overpriced under seasoned just a terrible experience overall. It does not help that it’s Cinco De Mayo and not a soul was in this restaurant. I will never return. If you like food with no flavor and slimy guacamole that isn’t as good as something from the grocery store managers special deli then by all means go here. I feel dirty and wish I could hit an undo button on my experience but i have no gag reflex.

I had broken up with Muy Macho about a year ago, but on a whim I went back today and was not disappointed! The carnitas tacos were perfectly delicious! I had missed these little tortillas of happiness!

Probably, the most authentic, the best and the most affordable Mexican Restaurant in the state ! They have amazing variety of sauce. This is where you will find Mexican-Americans dine at! $ 8 for 3 tacos and $ 1.50 to add another!!! What a steal deal! I think I will have my birthday here! They have fried tripes, bbq beef, and a bunch more proteins for tacos. Where else do you see this? No where. They even have my favorite Jamaica! They pepper sauce and the heat from salsa is no joke!

Sorry to say that I can’t stomach going back here. I live in the area and go(went) here every couple months. Heard they had new menu a month or so ago so we tried it to see what was new. As usual, no waitstaff on hand to assist, though the child was helpful bring water. They were plenty busy… but too busy to help the customers at tables apparently. Then the food finally came after an unreasonably long wait even given the days apparent staffing issues. Sorry, but seriously wish I’d just gone to taco bell. Was it a bad day? Maybe. As for the new menu… pretty much just new(higher) prices. And yes, I’m a real customer type person, not representing a competitor or anything like that. But this food is in no way representative of decent Mexican, let alone anything resembling Oaxacan food… apart from offering Chapulines. I don’t see acquiring a taste for that anytime soon. Looking forward to another menu change, maybe owner change. Definitely cook change. How do you screw up even the rice and beans?

A friend an I were just stopping in for a quick lunch and had no expectations. Their tamales were some of the best I’ve had. I’d definitely return next time I’m in the neighborhood.

I feel as if many of these negative reviews might actually be for the Jaliscos located right next door. I’ve been coming to this place for 9 years. Occasionally they have their off nights, yes. But 99% of the time, it is amazing. Not the world’s best salsa, but their hot sauces more than make up for it. We are a family of 3 and we eat here for less than $ 30 out the door all the time. The food is fresh, the portions are large, and the Oaxacan dishes give La Carta de Oaxaca a run for their money at ½ the price. Burrito=no brainer. Seriously, you’ll be a zombie if you can actually finish one. Don’t do it for lunch if you have to work later! Platillas are great, enchiladas delicious. Super taco— so good! The Pozole is allegedly the best around…

It was a little chilly when I first walked in I noticed heaters on the floor keeping the place warm but after a few bites of their complimentary chips and salsa warms you up! The kitchen is in the center so you can see your food being made and you can tell that it is fresh. It came out in a timely manner, big portions, delicious, the server was nice, the ambiance was pleasant, prices are good. They have a large selection of almost anything you might want at a Mexican restaurant.; I was surprised when I saw they serve wild grasshoppers! But this place will definitely be my new spot for Mexican fare!

Came here with coworkers who are regulars. Ordered the daily special. Generous portions. Everything is made to order and wrapped in foil. We sat at the picnic table outside, with some barrier to block the wind which was good for an October day. Will be back again.

A wonderful Mexican restaurant that we discovered(Thanks to fellow Unilocaler, Jens J.) in the South Park neighborhood of Seattle. I got the Chile Relleno Burrito which was delightful beyond belief! The portions are generous, the food flavorful and the prices are quite reasonable. Chips and salsa were accompanied and we were more than satisfied after the meal. This is one of those instances where the out of the way neighborhoods that are not as posh or touristy have some of the most delightful food! I recommend!

Nothing special, food is okay. A little sketch inside. Needs a deep clean and furniture update.

I love Mexican food. And this food was disgusting and cheaply made. Artificial meat… I think? The service was horrible. I told them my order three times and the waitress nodded and said, «okay, yes» she still screwed it up. Added stuff to the meal that wasn’t even on the menu. Tried charging me extra for stuff I didn’t ask for. Drinks were watered down. The bathrooms were really dirty. Never going back there.

Love it! I have tried several different dishes and the quality, flavor and freshness has been consistent no matter what time of day. I can’t speak to authenticity as I wasn’t raised in the culture but I can tell you everything seems to have been made from scratch! Wait staff was friendly and attentive enough…

I eat here 2 – 3 times a week for the last 5 years and have never been disappointed! I either get the Muy Macho burrito or steak tacos. Best street tacos I’ve ever eaten!

Muy Macho is a hidden gem. The waitress there is a sweetheart first off! Anyone willing to humor my room mates massive apetite(he ordered nachos and a carnitas plate) wins in my book. Any place that brings you out an assortment of salsa is already on the right track. The carnitas is mouth wateringly good. Big fan of their sopes. They have your typical taco truck fare and then more. I’ve made many friends take the drive here when they’d rather do a taco truck closer and reliably they always apologize for bitching about the 20 minute drive to South Park. Worth every mile!

I’m a regular here at Muy Macho! I usually get their really delicious wet burrito, or their carne asada enchiladas. As soon as you sit down they give you a basket of chips and salsa. Their salsa is super addictive and I usually go through the whole thing before I leave.

When I am sick I crave one of 3 things… Sadly one of those things is no more(Kiku’s you are sorely missed) and I wasn’t in the mood for phở so… Muy Macho Pozole it is! It’s been about year since I have been in so it was pleasant to see the new paint job. Even better to see the familiar faces in the kitchen making burritos the size of my head. But it was for the soup I came. Chips were good but cold. salsa was so cold it was just short of frosty. Not the usual standard. Sadder for me was we are obviously stretching out the pico de gallo as it was extra cabbage heavy. But as usual the pozole was a wonderful mouthful of smokey pork and hominy goodness. The pozole I make at home is a brighter less concentrated soup and I love it but it doesn’t compare to the Muy Macho pozole. The serving is huge… and they don’t skimp on the meat or added goodies. Watch for bone bits though… they don’t use boneless meat and you can get some small treacherous bits if inexperienced. My Salvadoran dinner partner was underwhelmed by the horchietta but did a double take at the bill and had to have a long conversation in Spanish to insure nothing left off. :) Now if I just understood enough spanish to keep up with Univision I wouldn’t need to stare at the eclectic South Park denizens.

We came here to South Park for lunch when we realized we were just too hungry to wait for a table at Fonda La Catrina in Georgetown. By the way, it will be great when they get the replacement South Park Bridge done. You don’t miss something until it is gone. Muy Macho is a typical Mexican restaurant, with TVs in every corner and decorated in bright colors. Food was good and so was service. The menu has some interesting and appealing items. There’s a lot more than just tacos. We ordered a number of dishes even though we knew we weren’t going to be able to finish everything. However, since it’s been a while since we were here, I don’t remember everything we ordered. Of course, when we saw chapulínes(grasshoppers) on the menu, we requested them. We had grasshoppers last summer at ¡Ah Que Nanishe! restaurant in Colima, Mexico and liked them then with their chili seasoning. The difference between Colima and Muy Macho is that at Muy Macho they do not pulverize them(see photo) before serving. Nonetheless, Muy Macho’s ‘hoppers were well-seasoned and we chowed/crunched down on the bugs. We also ordered tamales. Ours had a nice chicken filling and were interesting because instead of being cylindrical in shape, they were rectangular — like you see in Peruvian restaurants(San Fernando Roasted Chicken, as an example).

We came here after a morning of volunteering at the Marra Farm/Lettuce Link. I found this place on Unilocal and recommended it to the group after all the amazing reviews. I personally really liked my carne asada because it was very tasty and the portion was huge! In fact, I ate it again for dinner and it was just as good cold. Others ordered a variety of dishes: tacos, tamales, burritos, etc. My bf ordered the wet burrito and that thing was MASSIVE. He barely ate 1⁄3 of it at the restaurant. Service was really quick and they kept bringing out water, nachos and sauces. The prices seemed decent for the portions. Everyone else seemed to enjoy their food and had a lot leftover too. They also serve fried grasshoppers? I didn’t know that was a Mexican thing… no one ordered it, but that was an interesting item to see on the menu!
