Actually really impressed! Being from Germany it was great finding a place that makes DÖNER and actually a good one! The meat had a little too much fat on it, but otherwise it was ok! For sure going to come back next time we are in the area!

Good cheap eat. Wraps are filling and pretty good. I had better but their location is near by, they give fast service, and pretty good food. If you are nearby around lunch and hungry, it’s worth a try.

For a place that takes its name from the city where Doener was invented, it has not done justice to the meal in any way. I understand it would be difficult to replicate the taste found in Germany, but a mediocre 2,5 euro is better than this. What I felt was off is as follows: 1) The bread is so thick, it overpowers the the balance of the sandwich 2) I did not see a single kebab station with rotating meat when there. This makes me think it was cooked earlier in the day and just left out in a warming plate. 3) Spicy = Jalapenos? Last time I checked, red pepper flakes were the spice of choice 4) The bread was stuffed with more veggies than meat They did have Aryan, which is a plus. I may have to try it one more time during a midweek lunch hour to be sure of this review, but for now I’ll look for my Doener fix elsewhere.

This is a great place to get some sandwiches if you work nearby. They are pretty fast! I came here to meet a friend for lunch and ordered the Berliner with chicken. You can also get beef or lamb too. It took them like less than 3 mins for my sandwich and it was during noon too! The portions here are big and I did enjoy the fresh flavors in my sandwich, however the chicken is a little dry so I can’t give them another star. Overall I would come back to try other sandwiches or salad if I am in the area.

Wandered out of the office for lunch not really sure what I was feeling like. As I was walking towards Pioneer Square, I stumbled across The Berliner and knew I had to try it! I spent quite a few months in Germany, and doner kebabs were the fast food of Germany. My friends and I had it often while out there. If you check in with Unilocal, you get $ 1 off the chicken doner. I ordered: — Chicken Berliner — chips and a drink — $ 10.50 The doner was huge! I sent a pic of it to my German friends and labeled it «American sized» doner lol. They serve it to you on a huge piece of bread. The bread was perfectly toasted and crunchy! Different than what they use in Germany but it was delicious. Everything in it too was delicious. I would definitely go back. Service was kinda lacking, As I was paying the girl and exchanging money, another girl had finished making my doner, so she was handing it to me the same time the lady was handing back my change. It was an awkward exchange, I didn’t know who to acknowledge first!

Food is excellent! I was skeptical when I got my food and it looked like a lettuce bomb went off in the bread leaving it splayed out to the sides. But it was actually easier to eat and more flavorful than a regular square sandwich(less all-bread bites). Service is not the best, but that’s not something I care a lot about. I’ll definitely go back and recommend it! Excellent for Vegetarians(all sandwiches have tofu/feta option instead of meat).

Love this place! The Flatbread sandwiches(doner kebabs) are incredibly filling and taste fantastic. They are also reasonably priced as well(huge plus in that area). It’s really hard to go wrong. I tried the Veggie version(Tofu & Feta) as well most recently and, although I would not say it’s as fantastic as the meat versions, it is still tasty and filling(which is usually my qualm with veggie dishes) and I don’t feel as guilty afterwards.

I’m German and I was trying to find a good kebab place in the US because I totally missed it. This place has a really good döner! Not as good as in Germany, but anyways really tasty! Recommend this place for fast and nice food

A coworker took me here today. HOLYCOWTHISPLACEISAMAZING! The line moved fast, the food was very affordable, the food was delicious, and the restaurant was cool! And close to my work. If you’re looking to try something different give this place a shot, you won’t be disappointed. I’ll be back for sure!

Ever since I went to Germany and ate doner kebab on the street almost daily, I cannot stop craving them. The Berliner does have one thing going for them that I cannot find anywhere else, which is they have legit German flat bread. It is crispy on the outside and soft and pillowy in the middle! The doners are pretty good here, but the flavors are not quite authentic, which is what I was hoping for. I had the Berliner and tried some of the Fiery Kreuzberg as well. I had the mixed lamb meat and it was good, a little on the fatty side, but still tasty. I liked that the fiery one had a good amount of kick to it, more than expected. For a small taste of Germany this is a great stop. I think if you go here with the right expectations you will be pleasantly surprised. All of the local Seattleites definitely tear this place up for lunch everyday. The restaurant has very weird hours so make sure they are open before you swing by.

The döner kebab was really good, however, I didn’t find it to be as authentic as I had originally hoped. If you lived in Germany, you would understand. It is served on a very soft yet delicious sour dough bread. This is not authentic. Nor is the meat. Overall I’d give three stars because it was quite tasty and I’d go back but not quite like back in DE.

Holy amazing! I’ve never had a sandwich like this before… and I immediately regretted that decision after my first bite. The scorching kreuzberg was absolutely scorching! I had it with chicken($ 1 off with check in) and it was damnnnn good. Also, I was in and out of here in five minutes, during the lunch hour. Very hard to find that in Pioneer Square.

One of the worst things about doner in Europe is that they Europeanize(western European) the food. I thought this place was Americaned version of Western European version of Doner and other Turkish/Armenian food. The flavor was bland, the way it was served(salad, sandwich) made it seem like it came off a Subway sandwich place(including flavor(less)). The staff were always cool here but thats it. The best thing about the place was the unlimited refills and cute girls that are customers. There’s a ton of good eats in this part of Seattle, but this place is a one hitter quitter. I wont be back at all. You lost me at Americanized version of Germanized Armenian/Turkish food.

This unassuming little place on a bustling street corner was quite an amazing find. For less than $ 15 before tip, during their Happy Hour(I think 3:00PM to 6:00PM), I got 2 large, tasty, and filling sandwiches and 2 fountain drinks for my wife and I. My ratings: Food: 5 stars — it was tasty, and fairly unique Portions: 5 stars — very filling Service: 5 stars — couldn’t have asked for more Speed of Food to the Table: 5 stars — she prepared our tasty food very quickly Price Point: 5 stars — easily one of the best deals in town during Happy Hour.

I work a couple blocks from this place and wanted to try it out for lunch. I got the spicy chicken salad that comes with a spicy yogurt dressing. Minus the cilantro on the salad(yes, I am not a fan of cilantro. don’t hate.), this salad was good! I had mine to-go and the portions are huge. I was super full and content with my meal. Yes, it was $ 8 so I felt like I got what I paid for. I went around 1PM after lunch so my salad was ready in less than 5 minutes. The salad itself is not that spicy. I think the dressing is spicier than the chicken itself. They actually give you a lot of chicken in the salad, so I was pleased. And they give way more salad dressing(on the side) than you actually need so don’t pour the whole dressing at once! My only complaint is that there was no music inside the restaurant so it was dead quiet and awkward. Main reason I would prefer mine to-go. I will be coming back for lunch again and try other stuff on the menu!

Went here for the first time the other night cruising artwalk. I had a good idea what these things were and I was goddamn hungry so I got adventurous. I got the Spicy Mango with lamb, and the thing was huge! The flavor was amazing, spicy, tangy with tons of basil, cilantro and cucumber, red onions, tomatoes and mangoes. Lamb was moist and well done and seasoned. The sauce is a seriously spicy and tangy hot sauce(much like a good po boy sauce) and combined with the killer bread it really sets this sandwich apart. It’s kind of like a Chalupa, a Gyro, and a Shwarma had a 3 way and this is their love child. The price for the awesome flavor donkey-punch and size is a great deal, the atmosphere and service was as expected for a german-turkish fast food place that hasn’t caught on here yet. The bad reviews can be summed up to inexperience. I’ll be sure to come back and try everything but the chicken. Chicken at a fast food place is just a stupid idea and you get what you ask for, a dry cold piece of chicken.

I finally decided to give this place a try and definitely wasn’t disappointed. My order of a chicken Berliner with their crazy thick and delicious homemade bread was a home run. I edge on 3.5 for this place. There’s nothing fancy about it. I also wish I had ordered the spicy one as my sandwich needed some kick. I will say all in all it was tasty. First off, they are giant. And messy. I learned afterwards I probably should have ordered it on pita bread for the sake of keeping it all together. However, being my first time I ordered the traditional bread which was super fresh but was a touch thick making it hard to eat. All the flavors melded nicely together. Garlic yogurt sauce, chicken, cilantro, onion, etc. All fresh ingredients. All good. It’s really more than I could eat. I couldn’t pick it up however, it all just started coming apart. I cut it in half and managed my way through eventually just using a fork to pick at it. For the price it’s a good sized and filling meal.

This place is excellent. Right on the main strip of the Pioneer Square neighborhood, this place seemed to attract mostly the local businesspeople with just a small handful of tourists. It’s pretty busy during the lunch hour, but seats still seemed to be pretty available. My family and I were lucky to get one of the nicer window tables. It isn’t the cleanest, but it not dirty. I think because of the lunch rush there was less time for employees to wipe down each table. The food itself is really tasty. Even Mom liked it. Hearty portions of meat(or veggie) in a thick wedge of bread. Most of the different sandwiches don’t seem THAT different from another, but each one has a little special something that the others don’t. I’ll definitely be trying some of the others. As far as the authenticity, I found it to be quite different from the real Berliner Döners. which I have sampled several of when in Germany. The bread was different, and the meat seems prepared differently as well. Maybe it’s just a little bit of the western flare but the sandwiches ARE really good. I thought my portion looked huge and overstuffed, but it ended up being the right amount. Perhaps I was hungry. But I am definitely hungry for more.

This place is freaking delicious!!! It’s usually packed and there’s minimal street parking. The lines are long and it may be hard to find a seat if you’re there at the top hour of hungry. I ordered The Berliner with lamb and chicken. While, it’s not the most authentic doner kebab, it’s definitely flavorful, juicy, delicious and has you thinking about it hours later. It’s presented beautifully and the contrasted of the bright greens against the color of the pita is eye-catching. I spent quite a few minutes taking photos from each angle(don’t judge). You can also opt for a wheat tortilla. I drool while writing this review. I think it’s time to return!
