The service here is amazing. The food is amazing. I had the Turkey sandwich, toasted to perfection. We were served by Karina, beautiful server! I will definitely come here again!

Found this place when we wanted a breakfast spot after our bike ride. We got here at 9:30am on a Sunday and it was nice and empty. Great service and yummy food. We got the garden scramble and shared it with my friend. I can’t wait to try dinner here!

I’m a huge fan of garden café! My office loves to get lunch here and the food travels so well. My favorites are the pressed tuna wrap and fig and prosciutto pizza! I also like to take guests here when they come to visit me. Sitting out on the patio is so pleasant.

This place is awesome. It has such a great ambiance, excellent customer service, and absolutely delicious food. Our waitress Lindsay was really helpful and friendly. Great place for a casual date or just hanging out with good friends to have a beer and a gourmet pizza. Loved the beet salad and the truffle mushroom pizza. Also, side note love the classic rock music in the background.

Garden Café is tucked away in an alcove off Woodman, and is initially an inviting space. There is ample outdoor seating in the shade, as well as a smattering of tables inside. However, the initial impression gives way to an overall experience that is disappointing. We chose to sit outside for a change for our most recent visit, and I was struck by the fact that all of the cushions on the chairs are absolutely filthy, covered in stains and dirt. If you’re going to have cushioned outdoor seating, you’d think that keeping the seats clean would be a priority. Service is decent, but a lot of errors are made. During a recent visit, the special ladyfriend ordered a croque, which was to come with turkey. They delivered her a sandwich with ham. She asked for no tomatoes, but they left the tomatoes on and brought her an extra plate of tomatoes. Not sure how that happened. The food at Garden Café is decent, but not spectacular. The bread is very good, but the insides lack flavor and texture across multiple offerings. It’s as if everything is on the cusp of tasting good, but it never quite makes it. The salads are quite decent, however, and are massive to boot. What really hurts this place in my book is that it is extremely overpriced. $ 15 for essentially an egg and deli turkey sandwiched between toasted sourdough slices doesn’t seem like an incredible value, even for LA. Garden Café isn’t bad, but the quality of the food doesn’t quite match the prices.

All the good reviews tempted me to this place, but I was ultimately less than impressed. My pizza came out fine, and decently tasty, though with an ingredient on it I specifically asked to be left off – I am certain what I said and what I ordered, as I never have veggies or greens of any kind on my pizza, and instead of apologizing or saying she didn’t hear, the waitress argued back at me! Then didn’t even bother to offer to have it remade! She just stood there watching me pick the kale off for a minutes or so until I finally said I could live with it. My friend got the pastrami sandwich, which she didn’t care for. On top of that the parking lot is itty bitty, with spaces that you cannot see are full until you get in there. Then once in, if you cannot park, you must back out blind onto a very busy street. Pluses, the outdoor ambience is very nice.

Great food, nice ambiance and awesome service! I had the broiled Salmon and it was to die for. The plate came with the best tasting veggies I’ve ever had. Our waiter, Karina was super sweet so our experience here was that much better! I’ll be back sooooon to try their Mac and Cheese next time as most of the Unilocal reviews rave about it. Wonderful place to spend a nice summer day on their outside patio!!!

This place was okay, it wasn’t busy and service was somewhat slow. The food was good, I ordered the Mac and cheese with short ribs. The shot ribs were good, Mac and cheese… «Eh». Will I come back? Maybe. It is really nice outside but we stayed in because it was chilly. It’s a good place if you want to take someone out on a date.

I came in for lunch with my sister-in-law on a Saturday around 1. The design of the restaurant is very cute, sadly the review isn’t for how nice the patio looks. The place wasn’t that packed when we arrived. We wanted a seat outside but all the tables needed to be cleaned. We asked the waitress if she could clean off the table we wanted and she said it’ll take at least 10 minutes. I’m sorry did you just say 10 minutes to clean a table when you’re not busy? We waited about five minutes, then after realizing no other workers had come to the patio, we started to put the plates on another table to sit down. A man saw we were doing this, apologized and clearer out the plates for us. A young man came out and wiped the table clean. He then gave us menus. We were ready to order after a few minutes, yet again there was not a single worker managing the patio. Overall, I saw only three workers, which is definitely not enough to handle both the inside and the patio. After getting our order, we waited about 40 minutes until our food came. The mac and cheese was very bland, I’m not sure how others rave about it being amazing. It’s definitely lacking a lot of flavor. We added the truffle essence to the mac and cheese we ordered, but our waiter forgot to put it in. The tuna wrap I ordered wasn’t too bad. I got a side of sweet potato fries which tasted as if it was frozen. The quality of the food is nothing special. It might be better for breakfast, but with the service they provide it’s not worth finding out. We spent $ 50 on lunch for two people; with the same amount, you can not only getting better quality food, but also better service elsewhere. It’s sucks that the service is so slow and the workers don’t care much for their customers. Won’t be coming back.

Service Please? I would love to give this place at least 3 stars but the customer service and lack of getting food at a reasonable amount of time ruined the whole experience for me. It was my first time having brunch here and I was really excited especially seeing that they have an almost 5 star rating. The restaurant was not filled up at all around the time we arrived so we were able to find a table immediately. It took forever for the server to just come to take our drink order. He was a nice guy but moved too slow. After we eventually got our drinks, it took another while just to have a server come take our order. Once she(yes a different server) came to take our order, the manager(may have been the owner) came to take our order also. So now this is 3 different people who have been by our table including the manager. It took at LEAST an hour to get our food. When the food arrived, one of the orders was undercooked and the other girl at our table never got her food because it was never taken correctly. The thing that really confuses me is that the MANAGER took our order. How could the manager of the restaurant mess up the order??? I ordered the American omelet with no toast(they still put toast on my plate). The omelet was just OKAY. I have definitely had better. It was shocking to me that the manager ran into the kitchen after he saw the orders were wrong at our table instead of coming out and apologizing since he took our initial orders. Very disappointing experience. On a good note, they play good music on the patio and there is a private lot for parking. Will I ever come back to Garden Café, probably not. It takes 30 minutes just to get a beverage. No thanks. I hope this review helps you decide on where to have Brunch in Sherman Oaks! :)

I never want to come back here again. We had to wait over 30 minutes for our sandwiches on what appeared to a very slow day. Not many people at all were there and the few who were already had their food. My in-laws went once before and really liked it so they decided to introduce us to it. The menu was good. Lots of sandwich options. I almost went with the salmon platter but noticed there was a salmon sandwich with arugula and roasted tomatoes which I love so I got that on wheat toast with a side salad. My husband ordered the chicken and Brie sandwich and my in-laws has the turkey sandwich with a beet salad. Ok. So after 30 minutes of not seeing any food come out of the kitchen I was getting a bit antsy. I did have plans right after so now I was worried we would have to eat in a rush. Normally by now either the food would have come out or the waiter would have told us why there was a hold up with our food. Neither of those happened. Then I noticed other people were getting upset. One woman even went up and asked the server why there was such a hold up on her meal and the server just responded that the ‘kitchen was backed up with a lot of orders’. Seriously?! There were not that many people there at all! Get your act together, you are not a new restaurant, you should know how to handle this situation. Finally our food came out and we were all so hungry we scarved down the meal like animals. No one said a single word. We just ate in silence. The food was sub par. Mine was soggy as if it had been sitting around for awhile and my husband’s sandwich was cold. The beet salad was nothing special. Gosh I really hope my in-laws don’t drag me here again. I never want to go back.

Love the mac n cheese. We added broccoli, bacon, and truffle oil. Very delicious and we can’t ever get enough of it lol. We always take advantage of their 3 mimosas deal as well. We frequent the place a lot and it’s starting to get popular with the neighborhood. We will definitely be back soon. Our favorite place to dine is in the outside patio, very tranquil. Oh! Their teriyaki sesame wings are killer too! Hope I got the name right lol

Have only been here twice, but both times were fantastic! The first time, I had their skillet mac and cheese with short rib. So rich, yet so divine! They don’t skimp out on the meat, which I love. Their steak fries were also delish, and I believe you can add truffle salt to ‘em too. On the second time, I had their roasted beet salad. So fresh and light! I added grilled jumbo shrimp and the five pieces they put on the salad were succulent and perfectly cooked. For a popular brunch place, this joint always has seating. The service is great and there’s parking in front of the restaurant.

I’m going to be in the minority here from my recent lunch experience. Ambience inside is a bit dark, though beautiful and sunny outside. Décor is a little tired and it feels a little sticky — know what I mean? Server brings us silverware wrapped in napkins and I unwrap mine. The spoon is covered with melted cheese stuck to it that clearly didn’t come off in the dishwasher. I politely ask for a new spoon and I get one but with no apology or care. Not a great start. Trying to find truly healthy options on the menu is a bit of a challenge. I opt for the Greek Salad for $ 12, dressing on the side. It is of medium size and really unexciting. Nothing special and could be found almost anywhere. A disappointment. I unfortunately won’t be returning however glad that it appears most of you have had a much more positive experience than mine.

We had mac and cheese with broccoli and mushroom pizza and fries. When i saw all the reviews and ravings on mac and cheese, i thought ‘it can’t be that good. It’s mac and cheese! How good can it be? ‘ Man, i was wrong. My husband, my baby and i gulped it down. It was good! Fries were fries but i loved the spicy ketchup. Pizza was okay. I wanted to order something else but as my baby is a mushroom killer, i had no choice. I was sad but the pizza was okay. The ambience was okay. It was a quiet night, thank god. We didn’t want to interrupt everybody’s night with my baby’s screaming. I am taking off one star because our server was almost nowhere to be seen after she took our order. Considering it quiet night, we were not so happy with being neglected. But she was polite and friendly.

This review is way overdue, but here goes. I came here one afternoon with my friend, Rashmi and the patio area was inviting and cozy, so we opt to sit out there. It was a warm summer afternoon and the flies were out of control, which I understand is not the restaurant fault, but it just caused a distraction when we were constantly swatting the flies away. We ordered the mac and cheese, chicken kabobs, pizza margarerita and truffle fries. It was plenty of food for the both of us. Mac and cheese– There was absolutely no flavor. It was lacking salt and when we told the server that we did not like it. He was shocked and thought we were lying. The server even said he went to the back kitchen and tried it and agreed with us. Seriously? We had no reason to lie. Chicken Kabobs– It was juicy and flavorful. That was probably one of my favorite dishes. Truffle fries– they were okay. It was lacking garlic and some seasoning, but it was not terrible. Pizza Margarerita– The crust was crispy and the flavors were delicious. The pizza came highly recommended by our server and it did not disappoint us. Our server provided excellent service in the beginning and it slowly tapered off. It wasn’t even busy at the restaurant, too. I’d definitely come back to try other things on their menu. *There’s a small parking lot in the restaurant with limited parking or you can find street parking as well.

With all the great reviews, we found ourselves here while we were on our way to a different breakfast place. It’s a very cute charming restaurant but options for breakfast are limited and no gluten free options available. Portion sizes are small compare to price so the value isn’t fully there. My partner got the smoked salmon plate and it was served with regular toast with only a few slices of salmon. Not enough for the $ 14 price. My egg white vegetable skillet was also on the smaller side. Decent food with good atmosphere. It’s a good place to grab a coffee and work but for a weekend breakfast — I think I might do something more brunchy and more options

The Skillet Baked Mac and Cheese with bacon is phenomenal! The herb crust on top of the dish provides an awesome change from traditional restaurant mac and cheese. The baby pasta shells also add a fun consistency change. That’s not even mentioning the sauce, which tastes great in and of itself. The Skillet Mac looks small to the eye, but it’s sort of an optical illusion because the pan has depth. I ate a lot, but I had plenty to take home(and it re-heated very well). Ample parking in front and the trees on the side create a cozy environment where you can’t hear the normal commotion from Woodman Ave. Comfortable patio seating outside, and really nice décor inside.
