I wish I had taken pictures because out of our 50 piece wing order, about a quarter of them had feathers fried into the skin… absolutely disgusting. Clear indication of quality of chicken they’re purchasing. The servers and manager are great, and took the order off our bill, but the owner clearly needs to get it together.

Not good. I ordered for a party of about 5 of us. Got the chicken tenders(prob frozen chicken that was fried). A little dry, tons of breading. The boneless wings were ok, not a big fan of them in general, but they were not bad for what they were. I’ve had the wings before(not in this order) and they’re very hit or miss. Sometimes they are a 3.5÷5 and other times a 2⁄5. I love wings and live nearby so I was really hoping this place was better. But to the main point, the French dip was probably the worst sandwich I’ve ever had. Had to throw it away after a bite. They really need to look at their food and decide if this is how they want their restaurant represented. It was dry, no flavor, probably had been sitting out for about 2 days from the looks of it and just plain bad. Sad that this place doesn’t have higher standards for itself.

Not fancy, and service is average, but the wings are tasty and CHEAP!(50 wingdings for $ 35) I had the spicy BBQ wings done extra crispy, and they were great! I’ll be back!

Wings are good but very small. Customer service is pretty bad. The place is always at about 20−30% occupancy and you usually have to seat yourself and get your own menus because the staff is just hanging out in the back(based on the 4 times I’ve been). I only keep coming back because my husband loves the wings. If you are looking for a night full of fried food this is your place. Nothing special though.

Can’t judge based on the food but we came here when it was at 20 percent occupancy. For 5 minutes no one seated us so we seated ourselves. After waiting 15 minutes and still no water or menus we decided to leave; need to work on customer service, I was really looking forward to trying the wings.

The reason for the three stars is because I love the food but I’ve never been so disappointed in their service before. I’m a frequent customer at the Glendale location but was eager to try the Sherman Oaks location since it’s so close to home. Unfortunately the Sherman Oak location was incredibly slow(and they weren’t even busy when we got there, on a Sunday around 6 – 7. I can’t remember exactly) and the customer service was mediocre. To start the order took forever to come out, our waitress only came to our table once after the food arrived and it was because we flagged her down to remind her we asked for napkins(she hadn’t brought any with the order) and dressing. We had to tell her we were missing a plate … Just little things here and there that just didn’t make the whole experience enjoyable. To top it off she brought the check and never came back so that we could ask for to go boxes. I’m not going to lie, I will be going back but I just wish the service would be better next time. The food is still great !!

Quite simply, this place sucks. I called several times on Sunday and no one was picking up. I needed some wings for a party so I decided to just go there and order. They told me they stopped answering the phones because the couldn’t handle the call volume which sounded like BS to me(half the place was empty). They also didn’t have half of their menu available(no sandwiches and no salads). Even the waitress specifically told me that this place was poorly managed and that the owner doesn’t have a clue how to run a business. As far as the wings go, meh. They’re very small and I would put them at the same level as Pizza Hut or Dominoes. Never again.

We went Saturday and the place had us waiting for 45 minutes to get our wings!!! The waiter never attended us because she was the only one giving service to 10+ tables since EVERYONE in their staff including the cook had quit! The wings came out not the way we had ordered the first round and the second round the wings came soaking in sauce! Literally, if you picked up a wing the sauce was dripping all over your plate. The fries came out burned and to top it all off we had no one at the front to have us bring napkins so we had to use the napkins we had used previously to whip the dripping sauce off the wings. Hot Wings Café has gone down hill over the years. P. Called ahead to order pick up and nobody answered for about 20 minutes of back-to-back calling with no success. Once I got there, there wasn’t even that much people but only one cashier making the line wait due to his lack of organization. We waited at least 40 minutes to get our order and I couldn’t help to notice the deficiency of employees. The cashier spent inadequately about 15 minutes in the back letting customers line up and pile up. Only ONE girl taking orders and NOONE cleaning the tables… since we got here 5 tables unattended and dirty. My advice? wings are good, but if you don’t have the time to waste, go to another location. Horrible service.

I would give this place 5 stars since I’ve eaten here many times and always love it, but I got food poisoning for the first time in my life from here 2 days ago. I love their wings but it was an awful experience. So that kinda negates the 5 star experience.

Nutshell: customer service horrible I used to eat here often, parking isn’t the best so one day I called in placed a order for pick up I show up and to my surprise I found parking. So I decided to eat in. I told the waitress I would like to eat in instead, she quickly said we don’t allow those changes. I was so confused she immediately offered to call the owner for me. I sat down at an empty table, there was about ten other empty tables. He came by placed my food on the table and said«you’re not allowed to eat in today» and walked away no other explanations not even a sorry !! He gladly took my money after being extremely rude. I asked to speak to him again and his excuse was that he «wasted a plate» I apologized and asked him to charge me for the plate and allow me to eat in. He still refused to let me eat in and said«were very busy today«(there was maybe 4 tables eating in) Hopefully other people don’t get to speak to him or get service by this guy. What was the big deal of me eating in ? I got my money back and left.

The wings here aren’t bad. They’re not great… just not bad. I haven’t even bothered to try anything else on the menu, but for starters, I recommend the following: 1. Please step up your fries game! They’re super bland and almost stale every single time I order them, even when masked under cheese and ranch. At least season them? They also seriously taste like they’re super frozen. They’re just sad. I didn’t think you could screw fries up, butttt then I came to Hot Wings Café and I’m like wow… okay! 2. Up the heat levels! I don’t even break a sweat with the extra hot. 3. Experiment with marinades and provide a more extensive flavor profile to choose from(Buffalo Wild Wings is only a mile away and Wing Stop is 2 miles away and they both blow Hot Wings Café out of the water both in flavors and quality). 4. Happy Hour deals for both beer and wings would be way rad!

The wings here are really the best we have in LA. the lemon pepper well done has a good zesty taste. I can’t say much about the menu besides the wings that’s all I have every time I come here. They also have a nice selection of draft beer with lots of tv’s.

The wings are great, but I have never seen such a small wing in my life so, I wondered is this a chicken wing… Hot means hot and its a win! Ambiance is ok, I love that they have sports running on multiple flat-screens.

Very tasty, No complaint to the customer service. It is a matter of taste for those who are giving bad reviews. The only issue is the Parking, but there are huge parking spaces across the street with one minute walking distance. I will go there again and again and again.

I’ve been a customer to Hot Wings Café for as long as I can remember… Glendale location specifically. This place has always been my go-to for wings since I was a kid and it’s hard to part from it. Their e wings are made to order… Hot, crispy and just perfect!(Let’s not forget the fried zucchini and the curly fries! YUM!) I moved to the Valley about a year ago and I was glad that they had a location here as well! Let me tell you I’m glad it’s not always packed like the Glendale Location. I don’t like waiting to be seated, haha. They’re waitresses are kind, friendly and always have this positive energy. Extra tips for that! I have recommended Hot Wings Café to many friends and I will continue to do so!

Ordered pick-up, my sisters got the traditional wings and I got the mushroom philly cheesesteak. On the real, this wasnt one of the greatest cheesesteak I’ve eaten. Meat was a little dry and not as tender. The size was good but the entrée itself wasn’t what I expected. Now, for the review for what this café is known for. HOTWINGS! They are delicious! The original hot traditional wings are one of the best wings I’ve had. In my opinion better than the national franchises. Nice spice, crispy with a good kick in it. I would’ve given this place 5 stars but their boneless wings were REALLY small compared to the competitors. The Philly cheesesteak wasn’t as good but their traditional wings were delicious. Maybe if they improve the other entrees on the menu, Hot Wings Café would excel against their competition.
