I wish I could write two reviews for Amici. I love their breakfast. The dinner was over-priced and only ok. The service is great regardless and it’s nice to have a place in Shrewsbury for a great breakfast.

I cant really comment on the food as we never got our dinner. After being seated and ordered our appetizer, we waited and waited and waited until we asked the waitress if our app was coming soon? Clearly she forgot to put the order in. We then waited and waited and waited, not once did the waitress come over to us to give us an update on our dinner order. So we asked someone else that was Standing around where our order was. Apparently our waitress forgot to put that order in AGAIN. So about 1hr 15 after we were seated they brought our dinner order over. Great! too bad its was not what we ordered. At that point we just got up and left very angry and hungry. We will not be back! this place really needs to step up their game if they intend to stay in business for very long Oh and BTW you might want to get the AC fixed, having cold air blowing you in an already cold room doesn’t help add to the already poor service.

This used to be a five * review. I’m updating it today, April 2016. Amici has been my favorite Italian restaurant for years. I’ve recommended it to plenty, and returned time and again. I used to look forward to Worcester Restaurant week just so I could go and see what they had created. Sadly, over the past year or so, they’ve evolved into a restaurant that has lost touch with its charm, its culinary quality, and most of all, its service. The final straw came for me last week. I walked out even before we ordered. Unfortunately, I won’t be going back.

My absolutely favorite spot for weekend breakfast and brunch! The breakfast food is exceptional and the service is great! The prices are very acceptable for the quality and amount of food you get. I always bring family and friends here when they are in town and highly recommend it to others. DISCLAIMER: I’ve only tried their breakfast menu

Amazing all around. Came in for brunch on a Saturday afternoon. Cute, small and intimate place. Not super busy when we came in. We were greeted right away by the sweetest lady. Our order was taken and the food was brought out in no time. Our waitress was the sweetest and wanted to make sure our needs were met. Price is on point. Really can’t do better for brunch in the area. We will be coming back for dinner!!!

Won’t step foot in the restaurant again… noisy…small…4 seat bar… poor estimates on wait times(told us no wait then arrived 10 minutes later to find a 45 minute wait), no waiting area, arrogant management and staff who think you are there to serve them. Have had similar experience with staff at Willy’s the sister restaurant. They still think they are the only game in town… time to update their mindset and take business to better and restaurants with more value on Shrewsbury Street.

Went here today with a couple of friends. The bread was delicious, ambience is soothing and romantic, and my pasta was wonderful. Our waitress was also very sweet and accommodating. The prices are a bit high, but I personally did think that the food was worth it. On the other hand, my friend did not enjoy her antipasto salad. I would recommend ordering their pasta dishes.

Dinner was very good! The food was flavorful and the bread is delicious soft and warm. Unfortunately the manager that was working the night we were there was the worst. She was downright mean. We waited 45 min for a seat which we didn’t mind since it was a Friday night. We ended up waiting for over an hour for our meals. Again we didn’t really mind since the food is always good but we just wanted to check in with the waitress to make sure they didn’t completly lose our order. She then sent the manager over. The manager was unbelievably rude and borderline agressive. We are not confrontational people so we were very caught off guard by her behavior. I can say we will never be back here. We will miss the food, but not worth it to be treated this way

The best Italian restaurant around here. Delicious meatballs! Love the bread puddings and the bartender Alexander is the most professional we have ever met. I highly recommend this restaurant if you are craving some Italan foods!

Food is good but the staff can’t handle large crowds. They are not organized and don’t have the proper staff working the kitchen and take-out. They have not met my expectations as a paying customer. Plus, parking there is horrible. Not worth the aggravation. Will not return.

Came here for breakfast to give it a try. The food was pretty good. I had the homemade hash, which was fantastic. I’m a big fan of hash, this was right up there with the best. Two poached eggs, done perfectly. The disappointment was the ubiquitous home fries. They were free of flavor and texture. They seemed like over boiled potatoes that were put on the grill with a little paprika for color. They should have been seasoned and left on the grill a lot longer to get a little color and crunch. Some onions would be nice, but I know not everyone would agree. I will be back. Menu had lots of nice options on it and the prices very reasonable. Service was great, but it wasn’t terribly busy when I visited.

Hands down the best Italian food I’ve ever had. Usually I’m a creature of habit and order the same thing every time, but lately I’ve been trying other dishes and now I’m not sure which is my favorite! Its a small restaurant, and can be crowded on the weekends but I live right down the street and usually pick up our food. That way we can eat our delicious meal at home with our dogs ;)

Food, wine and service were good. Quite for lunch on a Friday but the quality was good

I’ve had nothing but good experiences at Amici’s. The bread is clearly baked fresh on location, and I cannot recommend it enough. You simply have to try the sandwiches, especially if you get there when they first open for the day. It’s amazing.

We have eaten here for at least five years and the food and service are consistently good. The only negative is the a/c system. It is on constantly and blows directly down on the tables. Frequently you will see people in sweaters or coats… And that is in the middle of summer.

The food is so consistent here and the staff is just wonderful. The will always do there best to do whatever it takes to make you happy. The pizza is excellent, the seafood is fresh. We’ve been here dozens of times and will continue to come back.

My wife has been wanting to try this place as my daughter and her BF go there a lot. Went early with her and our daughters on a Sat as their small and don’t take reservations. Were seated immediately and started with some drinks. No draft, just bottled beer. I had the haddock, wife had the veal saltimbocca, one daughter had a vegetable risotto and the other a shock ken, broccoli and angel hair. All were delicious, wife raved about her veal. My haddock was very good; thought the breading was a little ‘mushy’ and didn’t really care for it. Also, my ziti tasted(and had the consistency) of having been cooked earlier in the day and reheated. Shared some cannolis for dessert, very good although they took less than 10 mins to arrive. Still, very pleased with the meal, wife has ‘new fave’ place. Despite that,

Disappointing. Salads had too much dressing. Mushroom risotto too salty. Meatballs too mushy and tasteless. Bottled beer selection boring and nothing on tap. Air conditioning too cold and despite multiple tables complaining, they didn’t adjust the temp. Shrimp over greens with tadziki(nightly special entrée) was good, but should have had some risotto with it. I’d go elsewhere.

tried them for breakfast. Loved the stuffed french toast. Pancakes were so-so, sort of thin. My husband likes them fluffy. Homefries were ok, could have used some nice grilled onions in there! All in all, it was good, we’ll be back. p. s. the decorative jars in the wall cut-outs need a good dusting :-)

The place is small, dim and very cozy. Friendly staff. Our waitress was very helpful and had great recommendations. Parking was a bit crazy for Thursday night, parked at the bank next door. We had the delicious and crispy calamari with yummy dippings for starter. For dinner, I had the lobster and shrimp risotto with fresh tomatoes. It was deliciously creamy but a bit salty. My friend had the veal and mushrooms risotto which was equally as good. Will definitely come back again.
