Been ordering here for the last 3 years. Food is always good. Have tried about 13 different pizza combinations and each one is better than the last. Best chicken cutlet sub in the area. Delivery is always on time and accurate. Would recommend to all. A+

It’s 1:30 am on a Saturday night. You’re hanging out with your friends and you’re all hungry. We’ve all been there! So we order a large cheese pizza and a large fry. First off I would like to say the French fries were ok. The pizza on the other hand, was borderline disgraceful. It was greasy, cold, and not well made. Although they are the only place open at this hour, I would recommend staying home and heating up a frozen pizza. It would probably taste better than this terrible food.

It is very disheartening to see some awful reviews for goldens. I’m sorry some people had bad experiences. I lived nearby for quite some time and even now that I don’t I still go by to get at least one specialty pizza. The buffalo chicken pizza, the bbq chicken pizza w bacon or the taco pizza. Their pizza is great to me, the other stuff ehhh its ok. The fries are horrible though avoid them. If you want to be on the safe side try one of my suggestions. Next time I go I might be inclined to post pictures because to me those above mentioned pies are thaaaat goood.

Just horrible, I’ve had better pizza at Patriots games and ice hockey rinks. You’ll get a better pizza at the BJ’s Wholesale Club snack bar and that stuff is shit. The Greek style pizza is barely edible when they use real cheese, the shit is horrible.

I have to say I really like their meatball sub. Their pizza is very good as well. I know some people have had service issues but I never have and I find their prices pretty reasonable.

More like 2 ½ stars, but the delivery is relatively quick, so I’ll upgrade to 3. The pizza: actually quite tasty, good crust, not too thick with that perfect level of grease on the cheese. Good sauce as well. However, avoid the mushrooms, they are canned and practically inedible they were so rubbery. The buffalo wings were a little bizarre in that they were basically wing dings(which I love) with buffalo sauce on the side and no bleu cheese. Cheeseburger sub: Pretty average, the meat was a little dry.

Order food on a saturday night, only about 7pm and was told that it would be about 30 mins. 7:50, no food. I called and they said the driver had already left and should be here shortly, okay. 8:15, no food. I live only 5 mins away from the place and it takes 10 minutes to make a pizza, at this point I was pretty irritated and called back only to get the same answer. 8:30, no food. I call again and said something like I had been calling for the last half hour to see where my food was and the manager just says, «well we told you it would be about 30 – 45 mins for your delivery» to which I responded that I ordered and hour and a half ago, to which he only said we will be there shortly. The order showed up about 5 minutes later and I never got one apology from anyone on the phone or the driver, it was like I was in the wrong for calling them about my food, which I had already paid for with a debit card. This is no way to run a business.

Old reliable in Shrewsbury. Your options are not limited here: you can choose from Shrewsbury Pizzeria, Village Pizza, Dean Park Pizza, White City Pizza, Domino’s, and Golden’s. With the exception of Domino’s, none of them suck, but Golden’s has the best balance of grease, cheese, crust, and they deliver till 1. If you’re going to pick up, try Shrewsbury Pizzeria or Dean. Depending on the day, you may get a better pie. If you’re getting delivery, go with Golden’s. I recently tried White City and their pizza was blah… More blah then Old Reliable.

First as a disclaimer, I work at a nearby hotel and work the graveyard shift so many people ask me what is available/open late at night for food. 90% of the time the folks at Golden Pizza are accommodating, prompt, accurate and friendly in their order-taking and delivery, however 10% of the time they are not, usually on Saturdays. The difference does not seem to be that Saturdays are busier but due to a specific manager who refuses to give his name when asked(i can only identify him by having a rather thick accent) Most of the time myself as well as guests are happy to have a place open until 2am except for when this manager works and takes the orders. He is rude, pushy, has yet to get either my own or a guests’ order correct and on 11÷20÷10 myself as well as other guests ordered food from Golden Pizza and the delivery never came. The manager who took the order kept getting orders wrong and the guests and I both had to repeat ourselves a number of times to him over the phone, and he told us it’d take 45minutes to an hour as of midnight, come 1:30am everyone was beginning to wonder where the food was — so we called. The same heavily-accented manager picked up the phone and told us that the driver came by an hour ago and there was nobody at the hotel(which is absurd since I am required to be at the front desk for the entirety of the evening) and that someone named«Cindy» said we had all left… problem with that is nobody named Cindy was part of the group of guests that ordered and no one by that name works at the hotel. Instead of acknowledging a mistake he put me on the phone with the driver who also refused to give his name but repeated the same lines and then said i and the guests were lieing and that it was now 1:30 and they were only doing pick-up orders and hung up on me. The guests who were at the front desk then tried to call him back but no one picked up the phone and we gave up. The basic synopsis is that 90% of the time the staff and drivers(particularly Jesus) are fantastic, but there’s a 10% chance you’re food order will be horribly wrong, you’ll be treated poorly and/or your food will just never come, I not only find that 10% chance unacceptable for myself, but definately for people who are staying in the area for leisure/business and want a good place to grab food late at night that chance just cannot be taken. At this point I will no longer be suggesting Golden Pizza to any guests or employees and will instead be advocating Fresh Way Pizza & Ice Cream in Northboro, despite the more limited hours they at least deliver the food and don’t lie about it.
