I could have sworn I reviewed the vision center but maybe I posted it under the store? Either way, I was very, very happy with two visits here. I really liked Zehra Jafferi O.D. who helped me to do a contact lens exam(because my existing one had just expired). All of the people I have dealt with have been super helpful and the deals on glasses cannot be beat. I spent half of what I spent at Sears the previous year. I was really, really happy and I will be back for my future glasses /contacts needs!

This is for the vision center. I had a very good experience with Dr. Alfarara concerning my eye exam for eyeglasses. She made me feel very comfortable and communicated with me in a manner that I understood. The price for the exam was an affordable $ 45. I got an appointment the same day I called, and didn’t have a long wait. Was in and out in an hour. I did not purchase eyeglasses from the vision center. However, I did find a few inexpensive frames that I tried on and was willing to consider. I took off a star because after receiving my prescription and trying to purchase my eyeglasses online, I noticed that the pupillary distance(PD) was accidently left off. That information is crucial to have if you’re ordering glasses online, and I didn’t trust myself to do it myself with accuracy. Anyway, I called back the very next day and asked for it. I was told to come back so, they could measure it. I came in and they did it on the spot without hesitation and it literally took a full minute to do. I’ve heard that optometrists don’t like or want to give you the PD on your prescription if you’re not purchasing eyeglasses from them. Well, I got mine so, make sure it’s on your prescription BEFORE you leave. Would I go back or recommend here, YES!

I stand by my high recommendation of this store. Over the past month, I’ve had to switch out my contacts for a different brand because the ones that I thought were great ended up getting so dry I was using drops every 30 minutes. The doctor saw me on a walk-in basis and did a test, determined my tears don’t have enough lipids in them causing my tears to essentially turn to paste, and prescribed drops and shared that Fish Oil or Flax Seed oil can help with that problem. Over the past month I’ve been faithful to her recommendation and low-and-behold the new contacts work great and the old ones(I still had some trials left) were slightly more tolerable though still not great simply because they weren’t a good fit. I also got my glasses in and after wearing them half a day I took them back. My depth perception was off and I felt nauseous. The doc did some adjusting to the way they sat on my face but after resting my vision couldn’t determine why I hated them. We decided to give them a fair shot, wear them all weekend when I was at home, and hope I got used to them. Turns out I did and am SO grateful for her patience with me. The girl who wasn’t so great the first time in was actually quite pleasant this time so maybe I just caught her on a bad day. If you don’t know what you’re doing when it comes to glasses or contacts, this is a great store to start that learning curve in.
