Lashing Diva

I have had several bad experiences with Lashing Diva, and several great ones. However, due to the lack of responsibility taken by the owner, Johanna, I must give 1 star, and say I’m never going back. The first bad experience, Johanna rescheduled my appointment last minute. It wasn’t a big deal, sure. The second, I was running 15 minutes late to an appointment. I told Johanna and asked if it was ok. She said yes, but failed to inform the Catt I was coming, so Catt left before I got there. Sure, ok, that was my fault for running late, no problem.
The next time, I was early for my appointment and Catt was a no call no show. This is TOTALLY unacceptable. They will charge YOU 50% if you no call no show.
Then I had a technician that totally effed my lashes. They were tangled and all over the place. I asked Johanna for some kind of refund. She refused. Finally she said I could come in to see her for a free fill but I had enough at that point.
I don’t like to make bad reviews to «get back» at anyone. I’m making this review to highlight what doesn’t work for this company in hopes that 1) future customers can be aware 2) Johanna can take responsibility and make her business practices more customer friendly.

Got my lashes done by Johanna and she did a fantastic job! My lashes were full and beautiful. They don’t count lashes which is a major plus and hard to find in the north coastal area. Fills are super reasonable and quick. I’ll definitely be coming back. She accepts all credit cards and cash. Easy transaction and Johanna was very professional. She was also very friendly and easy to talk to. I also got my sister to get her lashes done by her. That’s how much we love Johanna! If you go to her, tell her I sent you ;)

I purchased the $ 89 groupon and decided to try out eyelash extensions for my first time. Joanna was AMAZING. She was patient and very informative with choices I could make. I had no idea. She has pictures and gave me plenty of time to decide. During the process, she was gentle, great bed side manner if you will and make me really enjoy the process. I will DEFINITELY go back for my refills.
She went through after care instruction and recommendations on how to make the lashes last longer!
I would highly recommend this place and even more, GO SEE JOANNA!

Made an appointment through Johanna for eyelash extensions. She confirmed my appointment date and time. Showed up about five minutes early for my appointment and the door was locked (it was also dark inside and clearly no one was there). I called and texted her, but she did not respond. I decided to wait for fifteen minutes thinking she could have been running late and forgot her phone. No one ever showed up, and no one ever responded to my calls or text messages. Terrible customer service and would not recommend to anyone. Waste of my time.

Terrible– I got tattoo eyeliner, eyebrows, and eyelash extension. I asked Jonna several times if putting on the extensions right after the eyeliner tattoo is okay. She said yes and that she had done so many times before. Bs– swollen eyes, all the eyelashes fell off, and my eyebrows are horrible looking. So bad that I had it lasered off. 0 stars

Johanna is fabulous! I had an appointment with her at the Carlsbad location, and I left feeling like a complete diva lol. Johanna has so much experience and is awesome at what she does. Johanna did cat eye lashes for me and made sure I was completely happy with them. I also liked that during the process of her installing my lashes she would talk to me because it made me feel more relaxed. Ever since I got my lashes I’ve been getting so many compliments. Even when I feel like a I need a fill, my lashes still look beautiful!

I am so disappointed with this place. I purchased a groupon and booked my appointment. She responded quickly to booking my appointment which I appreciated, but then one hour before my appointment I got a message on my phone stating that my appointment had changed. She didn’t even call to tell me that, so I text her and asked if she truly had cancelled my appointment one hour prior to my schedule time; she agreed that she had. Then, I said I didn’t want to reschedule because I didn’t want to just have my appointment cancelled all of sudden. I have work 5 days a week and it’s hard to schedule appointments. When I tried to get my money back from the groupon they notified me that my groupon was already redeemed and SHE was the one who redeemed it for a service I never received! I told them that she made me give her my coupon voucher number and she redeemed it but when they questioned her, she lied about it and said I received the services. Not true at all! Thank God I had all the text messages saved so I sent it to groupon and they refunded my money.

I purchased the $ 89 groupon and decided to try out eyelash extensions for my first time. Kali was such a sweetheart and great at what she does. She took her time and it shows, I absolutely love my lashes! I referred my mom there who also was very happy with her lashes. I did very long and think, and she did more natural, they both turned out beautiful!

I had Catt do lash extensions and they were great. However, i soon started to develop a pretty severe allergic reaction (very puffy, swollen, red eyes. crusted shut in the mornings, not fun or cute) I contacted her to have them removed asap. She said she didn’t have time for me but would find someone else and that i would be charged $ 29 for removal. Was a little off put being in the service industry myself. I would definitely handle my clients if they had an issue and i would certainly not charge if they were having a medical problem. The woman who did the removal was very sweet. (which i found out later was actually the owner) The process was a bit painful as the lashes did not come off easily and my eyes were already very irritated. After that i saw my eye dr. who prescribed steroid/​antibiotics and eyedrops. When i reached out to the owner, Johanna about the situation (still unaware it was actually her who had removed them) I was simply told, «If you decide to try it again, we can offer you the new client special again.» Wait… what? Why would i ever do that again? All together i am out $ 300 total. I am pretty bummed out by the experience.

Catt is awesome! She is professional and personable. I had my first full set put on by her, and now I’m hooked. I love that I can leave the house with no make up on, and still feel done up! I highly recommend Lashing Diva!

I’m an eyelash extension Virgin and got them done yesterday… And what can I say other than I’m hooked! She did such an amazing job and created such a relaxing and comfortable atmosphere. Consider me a regular for future appointments!

Booked an appointment with Johanna to get my eyelashes done. I was a little nervous since my last experience (at another place) felt like a waste of money. The whole atmosphere of this place is so relaxing. It was hard not to fall asleep. :p she was easy to talk to, super friendly and professional. I appreciate how she really took her time and the end result exceeded my expectations. Can i Just say how much I Love my lashes?! The quality and care she provides is the best in town and I highly Recommend her :)

After a long long search for the perfect eyelash place, I’m happy to say Lash Diva Encinitas is the place for me. I’ve been to many other lash places, and this is by far the best a girl can ever ask for. Her pricing is incredibly affordable and her talent, kindness and professionalism cannot be beat! Definitely recommend!
