A Couple’s Choice

The ceremony performed by Rev John was beyond perfect for us. The whole experience was stress free, easy, beautiful, intimate and elegant. He makes everything so easy and we could not be happier. He is very professional and works with you on making sure you have the ceremony you want. I’m so very glad we found him & he is worth a lot more than he charges.

Stop looking if you’ve found Reverend John. He married us in 2007on a quiet little spot overlooking Emerald Bay overlooking Lake Tahoe.
If I remember correctly, he took care of all of the paperwork –we essentially had to show up to he secret hidden area before all the big weddings showed up. We married a 10 AM and had enough time to complete a set of serious and fun wedding photos before other groups arrived. The other couples looked a little jealous, since there was another party right behind them.
I recommend them to anyone considering eloping in Tahoe (initially hard on your family/​friends to accept sometimes but most of them come around), but great on your pocketbook and staying out of family politics

Once you locate Rev. John, don’t let him go… really. Plowing through all the possibilities while planning a wedding in South Lake Tahoe, one really does not know where to turn. Wow, did we ever luck out, and we feel so fortunate in having found John. What a treasure! From the first phone call, and throughout the month long process to the day, he was kind, courteous, and funny, to boot! Do read his web site thoroughly. He has infinite wisdom on planning your special day, and will do everything possible to make your dreams come true and help you to create and execute the wedding you really want. We could not have asked for a better person to perform our ceremony, and are so very thankful for his time and help!

If you’re looking for a friendly and experienced pastor, look no further. Rev John will help smooth out the wedding day and is extremely helpful on what to do. He is a great guy and gives you choices for each section of the ceremony. Rev John should be your first and only choice.

Amazing experience with John and Lynn! We got married out doors in Lake Tahoe, and the ceremony could not have gone any smoother. John is an open minded, kind, and enthusiastic presence to lead our outdoor ceremony, and Lynn was a wonderful and thoughtful photographer. In the process leading up to the ceremony, I was always pleased with how communicative and honest John was in any and all inquiries. We were honored to have them be a part of our wedding day, and any couple would be lucky to have them as well. :-)

Reverend John was great; we met with him two weeks before the ceremony to casually go over venues, vows, the ceremony and general plans. He had lots of photos, and sample vows and ceremonies. He was very easy going, quickly picking up on what we wanted and how to really develop the type of ceremony that we were looking for. He recommended a morning ceremony for the venue we wanted (overlooking Emerald Bay), and it was absolutely perfect, with gorgeous views and the place to ourselves. His wife, Lynn did a superb job of capturing our special moments and the magical setting with her photography. I would highly recommend Rev. John and Lynn to anyone who is looking for a Tahoe wedding that is personal, not factory-​mill style, but still very affordable. Thank you John and Lynn!
