Lakeview Rentals

Favorite things include ease of rental, fast service, great prices, excellent local knowledge, central location. They rent for 24 hours so it gave us plenty of time to return our skis. Nice selection of snow shoes. Would recommend it to anyone. We also bought some standard sleds there.

Visiting from SF and pleased with this lunch choice. The tacos were good! Skip the fish and go for the specialty ones like the Thai curry, pork belly, and etc.
Our server Rachel was great and had good recommendations for beer. I’d come back.

We rented bikes here in the off season and were lucky to find them open and well-​stocked. The location is convenient, with free parking nearby and close to the South Lake Tahoe Bike Path. Plus, they were able to accommodate our group which included a mom with a toddler (bike trailer) and a man with a bad back (electric bike). The prices aren’t the cheapest (it was over $ 100 for the three of us for a two hour ride) but we took advantage of the 10% off Unilocal discount. The only small criticism I could have for this experience was that the map we were provided was not very detailed and we ended up making quite a few wrong turns on our way to the bike path, but it was all good in the end and I have to assume responsibility for my somewhat less than stellar sense of direction, lol. But if you are familiar with the area and are looking for a bike rental, I highly recommend you stop here.
Worth noting: I found out later that my friend’s toddler had an accident in the trailer while she was sleeping and, when we returned the bikes, my friend apologized to the staff and offered to clean out the trailer. The staff went above and beyond when the older gentleman told my friend, «Aw, don’t worry about it; it happens all the time» and said he would clean it out, with a smile. It could have been a very awkward situation and the friendly staff handled it graciously and courteously. Bravo!

This bike rental shop is in the perfect location and has a good selection of bikes. I was happy to see Lakeview Rentals take over this building which used to be a different rental company in years past. We rented bikes from Lakeview last year and again this year. Their service was fast and friendly. They had plenty of bikes to chose from, even on a busy Saturday during the Summer.

This is a great shop. Friendly enviorment and very helpful. Scott helped us find what we were looking for even though his shop didn’t sell the items we needed. He refered us to a very cheap place. He also gave us some great tips for where to eat, things to check out, and info on some of the popular ski resorts.

Walked over after having a great breakfast at sprouts. Rented some snowshoes and boots for the day and they let us keep them till the following night! Really nice and accommodating staff. Rentals were cheap and top of the line. Would definitely come back. Thanks!
