I had to go here for a pre-employment routine physical. Everything seemed fine and normal(getting weighed, taking blood pressure, temp, pulse, etc.), then the nurse said I had to take off all my clothes for the doctor. I argued a bit, as I have NEVER had to get completely naked for a regular physical, but the nurse said it was«policy.» I unwillingly obliged, and when the doctor came in, he profusely apologized and said I could put my clothes back on. For the doctor portion of the exam, he just listened to my heart with a stethoscope(over my shirt), and shined a light in my ears. I have NO clue why this awful policy is in place, or whether or not it is even a real policy. Why should a patient have to take off his/her pants if you’re listening to their heartbeat? It seems completely unnecessary and very inconsiderate of the patient.
