Denny’s

Uncooked. Toast that is white bread, not toasted, pre-​melted butter on it, uncooked potatoes, uncooked bacon. Yuck!

If I could give zero stars, I would. This is the worst Denny’s I have ever been to in my life. It was also filthy. I will add more later.
Had dirty silverware and glasses. I’m not talking water spots, I am talking ACTUAL GROSS STUFF on the silverware.
My tea tasted like water and was warm. There were two ice cubes in my tea. Speaking of, they never came to check on our drinks and didn’t bring me more ice.
My sandwich was burnt. Everything was nasty. The over easy eggs had no yolk. I had a string in my sandwich.
I asked for ranch. They gave me a tiny thing that was less than half full.
It smelled funny in the restaurant.
It’s Denny’s. You aren’t expecting fine dining. My expectations weren’t high to begin with, which is really saying something that even with the lowest expectations, this place managed to be worse than I ever would have dreamed.

This Denny’s is always clean, probably one of the cleanest around. you get greeted and seated right away, and the food is served pretty quickly and refills are always on time. It can get crowded at times but still isn’t too bad. Oh and if you get cold easily you might want to bring a jacket or a hoody to wear because they always have the a/​c on no matter what the weather is like outside.

Denny’s in general is mediocre at best. This location is no different, literally the most basic and unappealing food,.the service is totally lacking, unfriendly waitress, can’t even fake a smile for us. I came with family on a slow night, we waited for our order over 25 minutes, its not like they were busy at all. Also with an order at our table the soup was completely forgotten, and we had to tell the less than interested waitress that the soup was missing. We were not given utensils, we got them off the table next to us ourselves. Really crappy service. Food is always cold. I have never gotten hot food at Denny’s. I didn’t come here willingly for dinner and I try to avoid all Denny’s chains.

I don’t come through Missouri all that often but when I do you bet you ass that I’m gonna hit up a Denny’s. This one here is just on the southern outskirts of St. Louis off of the I-​55.
A good spot to hit if you are traveling south on I-​55 if you want a moderately tasty sit down meal. Our server Heather was awesome. Although she was way too enthusiastic for my NYC sensibilities I can appreciate her work ethic. Heather was friendly, helpful, and full of smiles. Three things that when encountered in NYC will immediately put you on alert. But alas, in the Show Me State nice customer service is pretty standard.
The food is exactly what you would expect. My country fried steak was fried salty goodness. All in all I would have considered this a 2-​star but the service was definitely worth the added bump.

Their new Hobbit menu is really creative, and I liked the Red Velvet pancake puppies a lot. But the rest of the breakfast items we ordered (custom slam) were greasy and bland. The hot wings were awful. Better stick to IHOP.

Denny’s have been a part of my life for many many years, I have had different favorite locations at different times. This location is one of the better ones, the waitresses have a generally great work attitude, and if they actually don’t enjoy working there, they do a great job of faking it and making it look good.
I ordered the Super Bird which is basically a turkey sandwich, and I also ordered a side of ranch dressing to dip my fries in which has always been a favorite of mine, the waitress kept her smile and kept my ice tea full which keeps me a happy camper and a satisfied one too.
I was starting to get the impression that Denny’s was going down the tube, guess its all depending on location and employee moral, thankfully this one has thumbs up on both counts, they may still make a believer out of me yet, only time will tell the truth now wont it…
to top things off, our meal cost us under 12 bucks, now THAT’S enough reason to come back again just by itself.
