I ordered a Veggie pizza, garlic bread and green salad totaling about $ 32. Everything was bad, We ended up eating serial for dinner. The pizza had plenty of toppings, and the toppings were very fresh. The cheese on the pizza did not taste well. Anyway, we did not like the cheese on the pizza or the garlic bread. I do like St. Louis style pizza, Guidos on the hill is my fav. In fact I like Imos better than Red L.

I try to eat healthy and to give my business to restaurants that take their time and select healthy ingredients. This is definitely such a place. Their pizza is thinner, Imo’s style, but made from better-quality ingredients. They offer quite a few selections as far as toppings go, as well as some sides, such as chicken wings. Fast service every time. Note that they don’t have any seating.

Cold Saturday night became much warmer once we ordered Margherita pizza. It was suggested by the patient owner as we took our time at reading the menu. It took only 10 minutes and it was delicious. Healthy ingredients definitely add value.

Twice in the last few months I needed last minute large orders of pizzas. Not only were they able to make 15 pizzas in 30 minutes, they all came out tasting great. Great St. Louis style pizza and would absolutely recommend it. The owner said they grow their own spices out back, everything tasted fresh.

My first time here. Had delicious Atlantic salmon pizza with capers & onions, Thai pizza was amazing — but don’t miss the tacos! Better than in Baja!

I visited Red L pizza after seeing the pictures on Unilocal.I did read the reviews but decided to try it for myself. My daughter and I initially called for a delivery, but after being told that they didn’t deliver, we went to them instead. The location is not in an alley like precious reviews stated, but more like a inside corridor, just across from Smoothie King. If you’ve been there before then you can get the parking right so that you can park a few feet away. We went there just before closing, so it was dark and the parking lot was empty but its a good neighborhood. We were greeted by the owner John, a really nice guy. Our pizza was ready at the time that we were told it would be and it was hot! John showed us our pizza and it looked so good that we grabbed a piece while we paid for our order. It has that STL style crust. Its a small business just trying to make it like everyone else. John goes out of his way to be authentic. The cheese and peppers he use are great quality and a personal mixture. I really enjoyed my visit, small conversation and good food! What more can you ask for?

Guess I’m confused… Carry out only. Smelled really good. Looked really go the person who was picking up in front of me…, However I was having a bit of trouble with my $ 6(9″) just cheese. And $ 18(12″) with pep and sausage… I cancelled my order. Double price okay but triple…, no thanks

I wanted red l pizza the other night and my friend didn’t and I noticed they had meatloaf on the menu and he said why not… This meatloaf is very very good! It had a layer of cheese over it that I thought was strange but it was a very good addition to the meatloaf… It is one pound and is way bigger than it looks in this photo he made two meals out of it and I got my usual bacon and pepperoni pizza… The one thing I do want to add about the pizza is it is one of the few pizzas that is very good the next day or even later on in the evening…

Consumer Warning!!! Beware!!! The owner John R. sent me a private message for expressing my opinion, entitled… «Hateful Piece of Shit» I will be posting for all to read. This is the type of business owner you’re dealing with people… BEWARE

Red L pizza is hard to find if you go there at night. Then you have to wait in the phone booth sized joint to get your cardboard crust. It is what it is and people are happy about the Stag beer they get free. That should tell you all you need to know. I drink Schlafly and I eat quality pizza. There are better options than this over priced junk.

I’m not a fan of super thin pizza but this was excellent. There is a Thai chicken pizza which is to die for. Great little place.

Excellent, high quality little take-out only pizza place. Red-L is now one of our favorite pizza places anywhere. Unique combinations, full flavors and high quality make this a perfect little pizza place in the heart of Ladue. Great pizza and really worth trying if you can do take-out and are in the area. Very small and informal spot in a strip mall. There are no big signs for this place, but you can find it by the address. Easy parking right in front.

This is a great local pizza place in the heart of Ladue. No frills here. Just walk up under the awning and place your order. The owner will even give you a free Stag beer! They make delicious pizza and a to die for Veggie Salad. It is cauliflower that is chopped up really small and they add other chopped veggies and chicken in a really good dressing. I love it! They have a good sized menu with lots of different salads, pizzas and other items. Don’t forget to tip the guys that bring out your food order. It is not a sit down restaurant. You order and they bring it to your car. In the warmer months, they have a couple of patio tables outside. Right across from Schnarr Hardware. Enjoy!

If you live in St. Louis, you know what’s up with thin crust pizza. There a lot of different takes, but most of them revolve around cracker thin crust with squeaky provel cheese. This type of pizza has a time and a place… rarely, and brought to your door when you can’t drive to get it yourself. Enter Red L pizza. This place is nestled in the Ladue equivalent of a strip mall on Clayton road, about 3 miles west of 170. It is nigh impossible to eat here, as there is no indoor restaurant. You pull up, order and pay at a window… and they bring out your pies, boxed to go. There are two small patio tables and a handful of chairs if you want to sit out and eat. Now, about the pizza. It’s fantastic. The crust is thin, yes. It’s crispy too. But this is no cracker crust. It’s the perfect example of St. Louis style crust. If you hate St. Louis style crust, you should still give this a try. Allow it to reset your expectations. The cheese has no provel. It is a blend, but I can guarantee it doesn’t squeak, and tastes great. Lots of very fresh toppings available, from the standard to the more esoteric. We had a pepperoni/black olive/crimini mushroom that was very solid(and that is typically my favorite combo). But the best was the hot wing pizza, with chicken, custom wing sauce, fresh jalapeños, bacon and green onions. I hesitate to label a pizza epic, but it lives up to that label. Best of all, my kids loved it. That the owner brought them giant free Popsicles afterwards didn’t hurt one bit. Try this place. It’s worth the hike from the city.

Being from the East Coast I’m a stickler for good pizza. I’m not a fan of thin cracker crust pizza, so i was a little nervous about trying a place that offered only thin crust… boy was I wrong. This place has some of the best thin crust pizza I’ve had since living here for the past year. I ordered the Margherita Pizza and the Chopped Veggie Salad with Kale which by the way was amazing in itself! The pizza has an excellent thin crispy crust, but not like a cracker crust and the ingredients were so fresh. The chopped veggie salad with kale is NOT a lettuce salad. it does have veggies, but it’s hard to describe, but trust me it’s worth the try. I would suggest calling ahead. There was an hour long wait the first time i went, but the owner was really nice and let me know that calling ahead was the best option.

Picked up takeout from this place last night. Pizza was awesome and I’m not usually a fan of the St. Louis style pizza. Yum. Will order from here again.

A tucked away little pizza shop that makes the most creative pizzas and uses only the freshest gourmet ingredients. The chicken Thai pizza and the moo shoo are superb! And they have delicious gluten free crust available!

I love pizza. I often order delivery from Imos and fortels. I decided to try Red L because it is a short drive and had great reviews. I’m so glad I did! The pizza is incredible. Best thin crust in St. Louis. I also liked the chopped veggie salad but next time will ask for no chicken because there was a ton of chicken. I can’t wait to go back!

This carry out pizza joint is a little quirky but well worth the visit. You call in, place your order, and then pay for it via a small window in the corner of a Ladue strip mall. The cashier then asks you to wait in your car and he will bring it out to you when it is ready. There were already a few cars waiting when we were there. The odd part is that the kitchen must be in a different area from the cashier window. We saw the guy leave his window, and then walk around the side of the building. At first we thought he quit… or was going for a smoke break. But he reappeared a few minutes later with a stack of pizza boxes and hand delivered the orders to each car. Odd setup but I guess it works. The pizza was good. It’s STL style with provel… meaning it offers a think cracker-like crust, focuses on good, fresh ingredients, including a litany of cheeses not named provel. We choose one of their specialty pies called ‘le lux chevre’. It was covered with good veggies, and shredded chicken. Wonderful. The Greek salad was just ok. I wished it had more toppings and more dressing.

BEST thin crust in town, HANDSDOWN!!! This is truly a hidden gem. Just a little walk up next to Companion with a couple little tables outside. But what lies inside is absolutely what I wish St. Louis style pizza was: thin crust with GOOD cheese. NO provel here. On their menu, they mention their«cheese blend» but don’t say what it was. When I noticed the thin crust, I asked if there was provel in it to make sure I wasn’t going to eat it, and the guy looked at me with disdain. I knew at that moment that he was in Tim G.‘s anti-vel club. They love their cheese so much that the pizza boxes don’t have their name on them– it has an ad for the cheese! I ordered a 9″ cheese pizza since it was lunch, and my taste buds rival that of a 5 year old. I also ordered the green salad with cucumber dill dressing. Less than 10 minutes later, it was ready. The salad box was curiously large. I opened it, thinking that it surely couldn’t be filled with salad, but it was! This is a monster salad. It came with greens, dried cranberries, walnuts, carrots and cheese blend(optional $ 1 add on). It was super fresh and the dressing was unique and SO yummy. I wish I had asked for more– there wasn’t nearly enough for that size of salad. The pizza was melt in the mouth delicious. The cheese and sauce were a perfect combination. The cheese even stringed out a little — definitely no provel here! I can’t wait to go back — and I’ll ask for extra dressing next time!
