I was hospitalized for the last month and my nails are still on and I continue to get compliments on them even with all the grow out! Never in my life has a set of acrylics lasted so long! Myriam really is amazing

I got my nails done by Miriam and she did a great job! I got a gel manicure and it lasted for more than 2 weeks without chipping. I asked her to do a little design and she really got what I had in mind. The pricing is good. I paid $ 30 for the gel manicure and an extra $ 5 for getting the design in two of my nails(see pictures). When I got back after 3 weeks she removed my gel polish without damaging my nails and I got a regular manicure($ 17) which lasted a whole week without chipping. I am very happy I found this place in the neighborhood and I will continue going to see Miriam to have my nails done.

I’ve been here twice, but before I came I checked their reviews on Unilocal and specifically remember people warning others that these ladies were a bit heavy handed and that their experience was a bit painful but nonetheless their results were amazing. Knowing this, I still came in and got a fill from Suzy. She was indeed a bit heavy handed, I found myself holding my breath a couple times, but it wasn’t too bad and ultimately she did do a good job. So I left there thinking ok maybe that’s just their technique but obviously they know what they’re doing. Uhhhh… The second time I came in I went with my friend. My nail technician was someone different(I don’t know her name) and I was getting a whole set. OH. MY. GOD. This was the most PAINFUL experience I’ve ever had. She filed my natural nails down to the point where she burned through. She filed the sides so aggressively and I kept pulling away just on reflex from pain and told her«I don’t know if I’m just tender handed but that’s very painful» She kept looking at me like I was being a drama queen which made me feel like maybe I was just being a baby. Then she put the primer on and I felt the sting INSIDE of my fingers and it flushed my whole face. I had to draw my hands back and just take a breath while the sting went down. When she saw me do this she looked at my nails and they were blood red in certain spots where she had obviously filed it down too much. I said omg they’re so red and her response is «They’re a little pink». At this point I was getting really angry, and I lifted my right ring finger and under my nail was blood. She quietly took out liquid bandaid, dabbed some on and continued. Meanwhile I’m talking about the whole experience in Korean to my friend behind me who also tells me she is in pain too. I’m not over exaggerating, this experience was VERY painful. The friend I went with was a nail technician a few years ago in a salon in Arizona and she knew right off the bat that these were family trained women. Using the wrong files, didn’t know the normal protocol, using wrong equipment. This experience was more painful than I thought possible from a nail salon but recently(about a month later) I went to a different spot to get a fill and holy shit, my nails had actual scabs on them from the pervious lady at Oh La La. Like yellow holes that were scabbed over. She completely ruined my nails and is lucky I didn’t get an infection. All in all, maybe my experience is an exception. Maybe it’s not always this bad. But starting from the pervious reviews warning people about aggressive nail technicians, to both of my experiences, to seeing the scabs on my nails yesterday, I think it’s safe to say I will never be going back here again. All future customers beware. I will post a photo captioned«scab from heavy filing».
