My boyfriend and I went to Sudbury Rug to find rugs for our new apartment. They had a great selection and all the area rugs that they had there were marked way down so we were able to get 4 rugs. I was very happy about that. The sales woman was very helpful too. We also picked a beautiful wool stair runner for the stairs. The installer did a great job. I love how it looks! They also told me they have a warehouse full of used furniture and other things. We are going to go to that when they open it up next Sunday for one of their sales. I’m going to send all my friends to Sudbury Rug when they are looking for rugs!

I went to Sudbury Rug on a friend’s recommendation. I wasn’t really sure what I wanted to do on my stairs, but Nancy was very patient explaining my options regarding a runner and area rugs or wall to wall broadloom. I took home some samples and they came to measure. Everything went very smoothly, including the installation. They said they would meet any price the service I received was great. I am thrilled with the results and I am pleased to support a local business.

Called a big store on Rt9. Constantly changed appointment for estimating and installation. Called Sudbury rug they made a time that worked for us and were prompt. Big store price was outrageous for the exact same stair runner. It was obvious that Sudbury rug was not only well run, honest but most of all had knowledgeable people who could estimate properly and then do a great installation.

We have used Sudbury Rugs for over 15 years and have always experienced excellent service, both for purchasing new rugs and cleaning old ones. We recently purchased a wool broadloom that we had cut and bound. Ken and Nancy helped us pick out a few samples at the showroom and then they came to our house to help us with the final decision. When the rug was done and brought to our house, we decided we wanted an edge cut to follow the floor pattern. They sent their rug fabricator to do that. We are very pleased with the rug and the service they provided.

Horrible service for a local company that depends on business from the community! In March, Ken told me he could clean my rug, removing pet stains and leaving the rug«looking like new». I paid for him to take the rug with him, paid his $ 325 cleaning fee upfront, and even bought a new pad from him. He was to deliver the rug to my mover’s warehouse for my July move. On move-in day, no rug had been delivered. I called Sudbury Rug and they brought it to my house with a temporary pad, promising me a new pad soon. When the rug was rolled out, all the stains were still there. I asked his son, who delivered the rug, to have his father call me. No phone call. I followed up with the store and spoke with Ken’s wife. She told me that he would never have promised they could get those stains out, but she would have him call me. No phone call. I made one last call and told them how unhappy I was that Ken wasn’t responding to me and was told that they would let him know immediately so that he could call me. Nothing. I used this rug, which is an expensive, beautiful rug, as the basis to design the main living area of my new home. It sits front and center, with all it’s stains in your face. I wouldn’t have wasted the money if he had been honest with me. I’m shocked and disappointed that they did such a lousy job and don’t have the professionalism to follow up with a customer. After I finish writing this, I’m filing a complaint with the Better Business Bureau.

We dropped off a small rug to be cleaned, paid $ 75(!) and were told it would be ready in 2 – 3 weeks. In the end, it took 5 weeks and several phone calls to finally get the rug back. When I picked it up, it was wrapped in brown paper and it wasn’t until I was home that I opened it up and saw that the string fringe on the ends of the rug had clearly been caught in the cleaning machine and ripped, leaving just tiny string pieces on the ends! The cleaning itself was outsourced to Horrigan Cleaners in Gardner, MA. Maybe the fault lies with them, but Sudbury Rug did nothing to keep me updated about the timeline and then didn’t apologize about the significant delay or the obvious damage to the rug. We had bought 2 area rugs here in the past and been pleased with the service and wanted to show loyalty to a local store. But this place is now liquidating its stock and it’s clear they don’t care about service anymore.

These guys know everything, not just about rugs, but about how to install things perfectly. Our finished basement was flooded last April, and they gave us a wide range of options. We decided to go with half carpet and half vinyl flooring strips that look like wood. It sounds tacky, but a) it’s saving us $ b) it actually looks great and c) if we ever flood again, it’s easy to clean.(The flooding was really on one end and we have a sump pump now). What’s amazing, though, is the care they put in — the edging, making sure that there are no tripping hazards from the main floor to the bathroom and so forth. My only criticism was that it took some time to get started, but that was probably as much our wavering about whether to get started as their scheduling. They’re not pushy people trying to sell you, so you don’t end up buying more than you want.
