Call me weird, but I miss this Del Taco. I grew up walking distance from it. I don’t miss it because of nostalgia, but because I compare it to all the other Del Tacos I go to, and they just don’t taste as good. Plus it’s nice when some of the employees recognize you and remember what you’ve ordered ever since you were a kid.

Had a problem with a gift card, but it looks like it may have been resolved. The food is descent, especially for price. It’s a good quick meal.

I have to apologize for my previous post, this is a great Del Taco. Employees are really nice and food consistently good! Sometimes equipment breaks down and it was just one of those days. :)

I was gonna give this Del Taco 4 stars, because strangely I actually enjoy their beer battered fish tacos, and crave it quite often. However… lack of customer service kind of kills one star. == FOOD == — Beer battered fish tacos: This is my #1 choice here. The tortilla they use is below average; a bit too soft and feels kind of mushy when you bite it. But, if you add BOTH the medium spicy sauce AND the hot sauce, it all comes together into a strangely delicious combination. Not as good as Rubios’ fish tacos, but does the job. — Carne asada tacos: #2 choice. My boyfriend doesn’t like them, but I do. The guacamole paired with asada is decent. And when I get Del Taco, sometimes I don’t want JUST fish tacos… ya know? Sure, the asada isn’t that great(a bit too chewy), but what do you expect for a fast food chain? — Fries: Hmmmm. I used to think only McDonalds could do their fries edible. But in the recent visits, Del Taco served their fries piping hot, and I’m happy to say its crispy and not too thick. I hate thick fries — too healthy! The shape is in zig-zags; not my preference but will do. — Churros: Not a big fan of churros, but my boyfriend says they’re decenttttt. == SERVICE == Auuuugh. This is where it goes DOWNHILL. The beer battered fish tacos are supposed to come with a lime for each taco. More than half the time, they forget to include the lime — which actually makes a difference. Once, they even forgot to give me my medium Coke! Thankfully I was still in the plaza, but I had to turn around and re-ask them for it. Last comment — more than once I’ve caught the guy talking on his cell phone. C’mon, I know this isn’t the best job in the world, but at least take it seriously. He’s even on the phone as he’s ringing up my credit card. Wtf! Incredibly unprofessional. == PRICE == Beer battered fish tacos at $ 2.06 each(as of 7÷9÷14). Usually I can get dinner for two for around 10 – 12 bucks. Not bad :) == OVERALL == I’ve come here many times, and despite the terrible customer service, I know I’ll be back again for cheap, pretty delicious tacos.

I love del taco. Del classic chicken burrito, a macho taco, and some of those cheesecake bites. Good, cheap eats. I haven’t eaten inside here since high school, but I’ve gone through the drive through recently a couple of times. Typical fast food service. Quick, and overall friendly.

Walked into this Del last week and was greeted with a happy and welcoming attitude, a surprising change from my previous visits. I was told the new owner and management team are all about customer satisfaction. I tried the new fajita Epic burrito which has lots of flavor and is a good size. The place is kept clean and looks better than before. I’ve been a long time fan of the Del Taco menu, and finally this location looks like will be one of the better ones.

so i decide i’m going to cash in on my free $ 1 burrito that this place owes me. the two guys working there couldn’t have been nicer. the counter kid asks the grown-up, who says sure, go ahead. they don’t go leafing through a notebook, ask for documentation, or even a name. either i’m so infamous there they already knew this day was coming or this happens enough where they just don’t ask anymore. if the place were staffed by people more like these two this would be a much better del taco. as it was i was impressed enough to actually buy a second burrito. that’s how you run a food franchise. they still overcharge across the menu, though.

Here’s the deal. I don’t give a rip about other fast food. I grew up in a family that NEVER went out to eat. We would occasionally get Del Taco as a treat(like on Halloween night after Trick or Treating). Dear reader, you must understand my deep emotional connection and familial nostalgia for Del Taco. I don’t eat out now(as a part of my healthy new lifestyle) but on occasion, I love me some Del Taco and a bucket load of Del Scorcho sauce. It is my vice, it is my love. We moved to La Crescenta in March. I was stoked that there was a Del Taco literally down the street from our house. Here’s the problem: In the few times I have gone here, they have never managed to get an order correct. They are rude. They do not care what you say over the speaker, they will give you what they want to. Not what you want them to. This is sad. This is practically a tragedy for a woman who loves Del Taco. I’m guessing that they have a bad set of managers who don’t/won’t care. Please, I’m begging you Del Taco, get your act together! I need my sweet, sweet Del Taco.

Okay, I live very close, so at 7AM on Saturday or Sunday it is the closest fast food breakfast venue open at that hour, so it gets the fourth star by default. «Location, location». In addition, they make the best Del Taco french fries in the AM of any Del Taco I have ever tried. Not that making timed french fries is difficult(my first job years ago was at a McDonald’s and they have made french fries dummy-proof, even back then) but for some reason many Del Taco fries are crispy, oil-soaked and toasted brown in other locations. This Del Taco makes them just right, lightly, evenly and thoroughly cooked inside and out. Since most cooking is basic physics, i.e., correct temperature over correct time, this is not on the technology level of a Mars Curiosity Probe mission, but this Del Taco gets it. End of my point. Also, the food order comes quickly in the AM drive-through and they have been consistantly friendly in the AM. There is a nice Latina lady who works in the AM who is the order taker and always pleasent to talk with. When I am up early on my days off and need a quick bite and then hit the road, this place is just the ticket!

There isn’t exactly a wide variety of Del Taco’s in the Glendale area, so when I’m working I tend to visit this Del Taco. After yesterdays experience I don’t know if I should just end my Del Taco love affair now, or should I go to one of the other two Del Taco’s in Glendale that are not by my place, which are just as bad. I ordered the fiesta pack because hubby and I wanted to indulge in the goodness of burritos and tacos, 6 of each for only 9 bucks. That’s a better deal than the 10 tacos for 10 bucks deal at taco bell by far. In any case, I requested beans in the tacos instead of meat, you know, that vegetarian thing we have going. He said that he couldn’t do that, I’d have to spend more on other tacos. Okay, let me repeat myself a second time, this time slowly so you can understand. Clearly the guy that was working inside at the time with him told him that it was okay, just a quick switch to beans because I got my fiesta pack 15 minutes later(yes, I held up an entire line because this guy didn’t understand what I was saying). The best part was at the end when he gave me a ridiculous smile and asked if I wanted hot sauce. I said yes, lots of Del Scorcho please. Well, in the bag was 4 whole packs of Del Scorcho sauce. I don’t understand. I pulled over, got out, brought my bag inside and the man that was working there understood me the first time and dumped a huge handful into my bag, no problem. Maybe this guy is new, who knows, but he made this last trip undesirable to where I don’t necessarily want to return. Us Germans would use the term«schiesse!»(shit!)

if you sit at a booth or table facing foothill, there’s a nice view of the hills. del taco’s crinkle fries are some of the best. when i dine at the restaurant, the service is top-notch, and the food is delivered to my table. the drive thru is sometimes slow, but at least the line isn’t as long as in-n-out’s!

I like this Del Taco. Sure, it’s a fast food place, but as fast food places go, Del Taco is one of my favorites. There are better ones, but this one is pretty close to where i live and it’s still pretty good. Some of the cheapest tacos i’ve seen around when you go there on Tuesday. And the service is very good, too.
