There was a «gathering» here all night long. I came into town for my job and didn’t sleep the entire night because thugs were stomping up and down the hallways slamming doors all night and morning long. It is still happening as I type this out. Never stay here. I did not feel safe. The front desk attendant knew what was going on and didn’t do anything to stop it either.

If you get a room on the 4th floor, forget hot water– in January. I had luke warm, barely above cold water all 3 mornings, even after I made the front desk aware of the issue which was promised would get better with sincere apologies from someone with no authority but all the responsibility. If you want pokey slow internet speeds at ‘peak’ times, this is the place for you. Get used to pages in the loading status for hours. There are other options in town, which i intend on using next time i am here for business.

Wasn’t a particularly busy weekend but the breakfast was out on both trays of eggs and meats. Not sure why hotels of this caliber offer breakfast when they can’t manage it. Get rid of the breakfast room staff and replace with a contract with dunkin donuts or the like to have little 2 packs available.

Avoid this Fairfield at all cost! We will let the pictures show you! They promised to clean the room or give us another room, 3 days later, Still filthy, THEN the 4th morning we saw BEDBUGS and BLOODSTAINS on the MATTRESS! They ran up to the room and removed the BUGS and the BLOODY, STAINED bedding. Then they denied it was ever there! OMG this is the UNITEDSTATES!!! Who does this to another HUMANBEING leaves filthy bedding on beds and THROWUP on bathroom WALLS? They lied to Marriott corp., their was no compensation! We are still terrified from the experience!

As a Marriott Platinum Preferred, I travel a lot. And I usually avoid the Fairfield and SpringHill because they have the free breakfast. Free breakfast generally attracts the kids and kids tend to be noisy and uncaring of the fact that they’re in a shared space. And that’s what happened during this one-night stay. There was a little league match up going on in town and at least three teams were here at the Fairfield. The kids were loud and noisy and slammed an awful lot of doors but the noise cut out at around 10pm. Other than that, the room was clean and quiet and comfortable. One strange thing. The shower curtain was hung too high — the bottom of it was just level with the top of the tub, which meant that there was a small flood of water on the floor. Odd implementation flaw there. Plenty of parking, even with a U-Haul truck.

We stayed here while visiting family in the Tupelo area. We had a suite so my husband and I stayed in the king size bed and my step dad slept on the pullout couch. The room was partially divided; king bed, dresser, large flat screen TV and closet on one side and a desk/chair, couch with pullout bed, and flat screen TV on the other side. The bathroom is a nice size for a hotel — bigger than my house. We were able to put the pack n play(portable playyard/crib for the baby) on our side of the room and still have plenty of room to walk and move around. We kept the ‘do not disturb’ hanger on the door the entire time but the staff was very friendly and accommodating when we asked for fresh sheets and towels. The hotel does have a free hot breakfast daily from 6−10am, with your usual hotel fare; they also have a small gym and pool that is accessible 24⁄7. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone staying in the area. Close to the interstate and within five minutes of the mall and lots of shops and restaurants.

I am a Marriott person averaging over 100 nights at Marriott hotels a year. I rarely stay at Fairfield Inns because I prefer full service Marriott Hotels or at least Courtyards. However the local Courtyard was sold out and so I decided to give the Fairfield Inn a shot. I have to say that from the start I fell in love with the place and even liked it better than the local Courtyard. It is a newer hotel and I was pleasantly surprised that they served a evening meal during some of the week nights. The workout room was great and new equipment. My only issue with the hotel is that when I sat down to watch TV, the reception was horrible… but horrible in a way that you knew it wasn’t the signal but a poor connection or bad wiring somewhere. It is bad enough that I personally won’t return until they get it fixed… but I was told by a manager that they were in the process of getting it fixed. My recommendation is to call and see if it is fixed before you book a room… or just go not expecting to watch TY. Once it is fixed and I return, I am sure that I will bump this review up to 5 stars!

In between Florida and Oklahoma — great stop at the midway point. Newer hotel — nice rooms(great beds) — very engaging staff. No complaints about the property itself. Just be aware of a couple of things: 1. There are no sidewalks in Tupelo(Saltillo) on that side of town(hotel side) — — have no idea why, but — there are no sidewalks(so, walking or jogging anywhere from the hotel is out of the question). 2. Nothing is near the hotel. Plenty of eateries within a short 5min drive — but, nothing walking distance(which, depending on how many hours you have driven, alot of people just want to get out of their car and walk. The breakfast is standard«Fairfield» breakfast — — definately nothing over the top(the powdered eggs are just yuk!) — but, it satisfied my kids — so that’s all that mattered. The pool is barely large enough for a single-stroke-lap…lol…and if more than 2 people are in the pool — well, good luck. I would definately stay here again — it is a pit-stop hotel(not a long-stay or destination hotel) so it definately met our needs. Stayed November 2013, traveled with family

Super clean and stylish rooms. Ammmmmmmmmmazingy friendly staff at any hour, even late… They were low on coffee when I went down for breakfast, which sucked… But I told a front desk agent and she was cheerful and happy about getting more coffee out. Oh, and free wifi in all the rooms, so I could work peacefully from my room! So nice! I left one of my favorite pairs of shoes in the room(after checking it for things left behind, ugh…). we called after we left and couldn’t come back and about a week later they came to me in the mail. Everyone here is just lovely and had such a great customer service attitude. I was there to attend a funeral and it was so pleasant staying here for the night at such a difficult time. Thank you so much!
