Utica Dairy Queen

I’m not usually a fan of Diary Queen because they are so expensive but my daughter was having a bad day. Knowing ice cream is a good way to get her to talk I picked the Queen.
The staff was friendly, the store clean and they were quick. NASCAR was playing on the television.
I ordered a peanut butter dough smash up, pretty good and loaded with peanut butter pieces and cookie dough. The kid ordered a peanut butter cup. She is smiling. That is all I can ask for.

The owner is the nicest guy. He is very friendly and has so much respect for his customers! The place is always so clean. The employees always have a smile on their face and always make there products look amazing! They also have daily specials that run through the year! Couldn’t ask for a better family oriented ice cream place!

It’s a great DQ. Fries are amazing, coney dogs are super chili-​fied and their ice cream treats are always spectacular. There’s often a long wait (or at least a long line) but that’s for a reason — good food!

I want to love this place. It’s a drive through which is awesome. The portions are very generous which is also great. However, each time we’ve ordered from here, there’s been mystery candy in each order. Blizzard or shake, doesn’t matter, it’s always got random candy. I can see it happening here or there, but every time? It just gets gross after awhile and not worth going to.

Best DQ I have ever been too! They load up their blizzards. The service is fast and friendly. The hot food is pretty good too!!!

This place is fantastic. Not only does it have great service, but it gives you great deals and portion sizes. Undoubtedly the best Dairy Queen around here. I love this place.

Always great speedy service! We live very close by and since we moved in almost a year ago we’ve found ourselves coming back time and time again. This is one of the few Dairy Queen’s that still carry the cotton candy blizzard. My favorite! They also have a drive thru which is handy, and a seating area. If your coming through it’s a must-​stop!

And a speedy Drive Thru

Growing up in Utica, this has been my go-​to Dairy Queen since I was old enough to grasp an ice cream cone, so I’ve got a soft spot in my heart for their soft serve (pun intended).
During the summer, this place is really happenin’! They have a drive-​thru but you have to be careful because on a hot night, it can be backed up all the way around the store. It’s easier to just park nearby and go inside.
The workers are very friendly, though they are usually high school students, so you’ll probably get a different staff from year to year, but overall, they have been really cooperative, especially when I have large orders.
I like this Dairy Queen mostly for its proximity to Grant Park. It’s easy to pick up my favorite Reese’s blizzard and then have a nice walk around the park with my lady.

Stopped by here last summer while I was driving around trying to find these giant picture/​poster frames for my work. I had to drive out to 4 different Michael’s locations that day in order to get all the frames we needed, and it was in the high 90s. So I was dying from the heat and carrying all these frames around. A wonderful notification from my mobibo app came through, showcasing a blizzard at a discounted rate. Sounds about perfect at that point, as I fear I am going to overheat and die before these frames get back to where they needed to be.
I walk in, show my app, they are completely co-​operative with what I have and ask me what kind of blizzard I wanted. Oreo is my standard, you can’t go wrong with it, and I also couldn’t really have made a decision because my mind just kept thinking «Damn its hot… hot…I’ma die.» I really appreciate the fact that I never got a groan or stare that felt like I was a freeloader. Instead I received smiles and quick service!
They whipped up my tasty ice cold treat right away, and sent me on my way, all I had to do was push redeem on my app. The ice cold treat brought my temperature back down (though at one point the heat started to turn the bottom of the cup into a liquid). So in actuality, this DQ might have very well saved my life and kept me from overheating and getting into an accident. They also made my day with the friendly service. Thanks!
