Well went by today and doors closed with a large dumpster sitting outside. Checked around and was told they closed Sat, Dec 13, 2014 went online and checked the Vacaville Reporter and it’s true. Bummer only one left is in Fairfield

Unexpectedly closed and went out of business on 12/16/2014. Local officials had no idea the Vacaville store was closing. Local papers reports that Chevy’s corporate offices have not returned calls and the number of employees out of work is unknown at this time

Great experience at Chevy’s! We were seated quickly and our food/drinks arrived in a very timely manner. I didn’t even have time to drink my margarita before my food came out. Our waiter Ducle was very friendly. Overall, a 5 star experience!

I actually really liked this Chevys. Service is kind of slow even when it’s not busy. We sat down when we first got there for about 15 minutes before our drink orders were taken. Then we waited another 10 or so to put our food orders in. What I liked about this place was their seriousness to make sure my food was good when I told them I’m allergic to tomatoes. I ordered the fajitas and told the waitress I’m allergic to tomatoes so there’s things that I shouldn’t have and didn’t not want to come out with my food just as a precaution. She was sure their beans had no tomatoes and while waiting for our food, I was informed that there are tomatoes in their beans. As a substitute they gave me extra corn tamalito and the manager sent over fresher tortillas once I got my food. The fajitas were good. They come out sizzling hot and very tasty.

Ordered the only thing I ever get at Chevy’s — crispy chicken flautas and it was not tasty at all! I was informed that they are changing their menu. The flautas were unrecognizable-it was cut in 1.5 inch«logs» and it had this burnt edgy crap on both ends, which completely changes the taste-the whole flauta tasted burnt. Not happy of their recipe change! Definitely not ordering Chevy’s crispy chicken flautas and will probably avoid the chain as well.

The chips and salsa go to place and most wanted tortillas. THE Fajitas get my vote every time good food good servers and fun place to go

Chevy’s is obviously a chain on the decline. It was almost depressing eating in an almost empty and quiet room, a far cry from their heyday. Their chips and salsa are always great. Took over 25 minutes for meals to arrive. My carnitas BOWL was served on a flat plate, with 3 little pieces of carnitas, and a tart green sauce. Tortillas are no longer served hot or homemade. Had to beg for soda refill. Sad, sad, sad!!!

This is the dirtiest resteraunt I have been to in a long time… the food quality was below average… customer service was the only thing that was acceptable.

Horrible! Worst service ever! Waited over 40 min and never even received the drinks! How hard is it to deliver beer! Manager did not even care when we told. Definitely never going back and will tell our friends:(

I can’t believe I had to eat here again! My co-workers need to pick a better spot for luncheons. The three guys around me ordered the carnitas bowls and they were HORRIBLE. It looked like they were trying to ration the rice because we barely had any on the plate. There was so little that it could fit inside one of those little Taco Bell $ 0.99 burritos. Whoever manages this Vacaville Chevy’s needs to step their game up. I think you just lost 25 more customers. We were all dissatisfied.

Uhhhh What in the heck, I love Chevy’s… Okay, I love Chevy’s salsa, but dang, we came here the other day, when they opened, and we walked in, maybe 4 people in the entire restaurant and we were told there was a 30 minute wait… Exsqueeze me??? We were told a server didn’t show up, I’m not sure how 1 server ends up practically shutting down an entire restaurant, but they need to be fired if thats the case… Odd… Makes me never want to eat here again… Damn the Chevy’s salsa curse…

AWFUL! This was my first time at a Chevy’s in a while as most of the Bay Area locations are permanently closed. Now I see why. It took the waiter 20 minutes to even come to my table, no lie. Then she didn’t even bring a menu for another 5 minutes. 10 minutes later she came by to take my order. It took me nearly 1:10 minutes from the time I sat down until the time I left. And this was at 4PM on a Thursday afternoon. When the food finally did arrive it was cold and it wasn’t sizzling the way their fajitas normally do. She must have forgot about my order which is not surprising. To make matters worse the price of their food is outrageous! $ 18 for a steak fajita that barely had any steak. By the time I paid tax and tip I ended up dropping $ 23 for food that was cold and terrible service. I will never come back to any Chevy’s again.

Went to use my coupon for 10 off of 30 and they 1st told me that tax wasn’t included(I was $ 1.04 off) and then the waitress asked me if I wanted to get a margarita to go over the 30. Then I asked for the manager and she stated that it was only for the food… so why did the waitress ask me if I wanted another margarita! ?!? Ive never had this problem with the one in fairfield. The waitress didnt even know what kind of margaritas there were… never supporting this chevys again!

I came here with some co-workers after a long week. One co-worker was already there and had a table for us outside. However after arriving it took over 10 minutes before we were acknowledged. It took another 15 minutes before we even received waters. We were going to the bar to put in our drink orders when the bartender came to our table and took our order. After 10 minutes our drinks came and our server showed up to take our orders. The food came quickly and tasted fine. However when paying we informed the server we wanted separate checks. The server was able to do so, however two of us paid with our credit cards. What sucked was the server was not paying attention and charged the wrong amount with the wrong credit card. He then had to recharge us, but was unable to produce a cancel receipt. We were informed to watch our bank accounts to see the pending transaction to be removed within a few days. Which happened but was a bit unsettling to make sure. The service sucked but the food and drink was good enough for two stars.

I know Chevys isn’t the most authentic Mexican food, but I’m okay with that! The food is always good, the salsa is always endless, and the margaritas border on criminal. My biggest gripe is what my mom calls«adventures in Chevys food,» because the portions are never the same. This goes for the Vacaville location and every Chevys I’ve ever been too. One time there will be steak stacked on the fajitas, enough for four people, and the next time you’re lucky if you can make three of them. That tends to go with the sides as well. Not a horrible thing, since there portions are somewhat large to begin with, but enough to take it down from 5 stars.

This was the first restaurant I’ve ever walked out of before getting our food. The service was TERRIBLE. There was at most, 5 tables being served. The manager came around every table to check up on the customers, except for ours. We waited 15 minutes to have our orders taken, which is a pretty long wait given that there were only 4 other tables! We waited for our chips and salsa for 30 minutes and after our waiter assured us that we’d get some as soon as more salsa was made, we see that same waiter giving chips and salsa to a table who came 25 minutes after us. We were so annoyed that we had to just walk out. The Chevy’s in Vallejo is much better. They always provide excellent service, even when the whole restaurant is packed. I will never come back to this location in Vacaville.

We came her for a birthday dinner. I called during the afternoon about 1pm for reservations for that night(was a Saturday)…the manager came on the line and had our reservation down for 7 – 7:30 for 10 people. No big deal for them! It was easy to book and they even gave me the 30-minute range to show up. However, when we arrived the hostess was not very helpful at all, and not at all friendly. She seemed like she didnt know what was going on. We waited at the bar for ~10 minutes before they called my name, I went straight over to the podium and said we were ready just closing our tabs at the bar, and she just looked at me. As I stand there waiting for the rest of my party to pay, another hostess comes and tells the first one that she cant find us and I have to say«Is that for Melissa? Ive been waiting here, we’re closing out at the bar» and then the first woman is like ooooooh yea shes right here! really weird… But anyways, the food was good, it was a bday dinner and they brought out a sombrero and sang and gave him ice cream, and it was fairly cheap for the amount of food we got and the service was fast. Our waiter was very good. They do have happy hour on the weekends and it lasts until closing, so that’s a plus! Parking was fine, but sometimes that parking lot gets really crowded with BJs there.

Like everyone says it’s Chevy’s, a chain. The food is OK nothing to write home about but the margaritas are always great and if you sit in the bar ask for Patricia. She is always great, attentive and will fix any problem you may have. I don’t sit in the dining room and will leave unless she is working. I have to say I do LOVE their soup! UPDATE: I’m not sure why this has changed and I’m not sure how to change it yet, but this review is for the Chevy’s in San Ramon, not Vacaville.

It’s 100% true. I love Happy Hour! For me, a good Happy Hour can elevate 2 – 3 star fare to a 4 star experience. & that was precisely the case with Chevys. I met up with an old friend & we set out for cheap nibbles & sips. Chevys Happy Hour is an excellent choice for this. 1 thing that distinguishes Chevys from other places that also have Happy Hour is the time span of that Happy Hour. At Chevys, it’s Happy Hour from 2:00pm to 8:00pm! That’s right, a whopping 6 hours during which you can get your eat & drink on for dirt cheap. & that’s precisely what we did. $ 3 Margaritas, $ 4.50 Flautas, free chips & salsa, oh yeah! When most other Happy Hours close down at 5:00, 6:00, or 7:00, we kept on all the way to 8:00. Chevys Happy Hour is good times for not a lot of $. Any other time of day, Chevys is 2 or 3 stars. But during Happy Hour, it’s 4 stars for me.

BJ’s next door was super packed with an hour plus wait so we decided to come here for our hungry bellies. We were greeted immediately and had a nice conversation with the hostess while we waiting for our table. They were able to seat us quickly. We had a large group and this was a Saturday evening — but that’s not to say this place was empty, it was plenty alive! CHIPSANDSALSAFOREVER! I love how our server came bearing chips and salsa when he first came over. We definitely got our fill of chips. Yummy! The food at this particular Chevy’s is better than the other one’s I have tried. Definitely a good alternate to BJ’s!
