The new owners are great!!! Super nice! Way better than the old owner. The food is delicious and their baked goods are even better! You should try the chocolate chip muffin! To die for! And the different types of bagels made it hard for me to choose. My goal is to try each one. So far I’ve tried the Blueberry and the Cinnamon Crunch and I was not disappointed. Made my tummy happy. I will be going there again.

New owners are nice but I’m worried about the quality of the bagels and cream cheese going down. Their bagels have always been the best anywhere but the other day I bought 4 dozen and they were so-so. The jalapeño bagels didn’t have any jalapeños and the jalapeño cream cheese had even less. Bummer!!! Still have my fingers crossed but am really disappointed so far.

New owners are great. Old owners were rude and just horrid. Food is still great. Get a pastrami Reuben. Its bomb dot com.

Love this place. Don’t know why the rating is so low. Great breakfast for a great price and their jalapeño bagels rock

My husband and I used to frequent this place a lot but over the past year we’ve noticed that things are going downhill fast! The service is dismal… nobody cares to give a smile and most of them looked liked they just straight rolled out of bed. The place itself is old, extremely dirty and run down(in def need of a facelift). You can tell they haven’t cleaned the booths in awhile due to the years worth of caked on food and dirt in between the cushions. Everything is always either not working or out completely. Their soda machines are always broken, never any coffee, etc. It’s sad because this place used to be jammed full of people and now it’s always empty.

Terrible service. Rude and argumentative. The employees behind the cash register don’t wear gloves, yet they handle the food. Unless changes are made soon, they will lose business.

Went here today. Granted, the area was pretty busy for their holiday festivities but it wasn’t too busy in the establishment. I’ve been here before and LOVED it, but that was three years ago. It took them 45 minutes to figure out a grilled cheese sandwich and a mushroom burger. I went with my boyfriend and our 1 year old son. The waitress handed us ONE napkin. Okay? Food was subpar, but at the same time we didn’t order anything that was unique or a specialty. Probably will not return.

Really good Bagels, but they sell out fast on busy days so try and get them early. The breakfast has some winning items like the breakfast burritos and breakfast sandwiches, and the pancakes are really good as well. Omelettes are a bit bland I think however and a tad overpriced sometimes. In general their deli sandwiches are okay, but nothing out of this world. The Rye toast is pretty bland and the meat is nothing special. You would 100% get better deli food at Brent’s, Langer’s, or Wexler’s but that is not local so you got to take what you can get close by sometimes. Dink’s isn’t great, it isn’t bad, it’s reliable and there are some things they do great and some things they could do better.

For a community that has no delis the Dinks in the mall is A1 but the mcbean pkway one is just okay. Yes the more limited menu but also food is slapped together. Folks they need some loving including the blond teenager who runs the cash register, what a snubby atitude. You know what I mean. Its too bad only the mall Dinks is first rate. There hours are 6am to 6pm not 8pm as listed in Unilocal

I’m not very happy! I ordered seven challehs for My high holy celebration and when I went to pick them up they only had five. No explanation, not even an attempt to try and right the situation. They lost my business and anyone else u can convince. Don’t give dinks your business.

I have to express my frustration and disappointment with Dinks. I’ve been a long-time supporter of them, even defended them when others were quick to criticize the owner. However, after our last few visits their for a meal(not breakfast), I think I’m about done. Today was the worst. Our family of 6 went to the in Granary Square around 1:30 for lunch. It was practically empty. We order 2 pizza bagels, 2 turkey sandwiches and a French dip. It took over 20 minutes to get our food(keep in mind it was empty). My wife chose a bagel for her sandwich that was the last one. 15 minutes later they told us they were out… as they had accidentally sold that bagel during in the meantime. My son’s dip was smothered in cheese… that he had asked them to leave off. I once craved their fresh turkey… which has now been replaced by wet slimy turkey. Our sandwiches were missing mustard too If you can’t make a fresh turkey sandwich, you’ve got no business representing yourself as a Deli. It obvious that they don’t care about the quality of their food or service anymore and with so many choices for sandwiches and similar food around town, I can’t imagine they’ll be around for too many more years… with the exception of their bagel/breakfast business It’s truly disappointing because they used to do a great job. They just feel like old, tired and are seemingly oblivious to how to ensure repeat business. Bummer.

ISDINKSDELICLOSINGUPENTIRELY? I had been going to Dinks pretty regularly on Saturdays for a about 6 years. I would get pouched Eggs and double toasted bagel and tomatoes. Lately I have been considering going elsewhere. The service at both the delis was getting bad. Never saw the little old guy that runs the place there anymore. Yesterday sealed the deal. Took my sister from out of town there for breakfast about 9am. Maybe 10 customers there. Ordered and went to get my coffee. No regular coffee. Four coffee dispensers for just plain coffee– all empty. Reported it and later we all had coffee again. Filled our cups and reached for sugar. No sugar packets. Getting Annoyed. Let the counter know — and they said they were out of sugar. Really? A deli with no sugar! They didn’t go to the Vons right down the sidewalk and buy some sugar!!! I walked down to Starbucks and grabbed some sugars. Really wanting to go up and get my money back and leave but Sis says let’s stay. I can’t get worse. Food comes and the potatoes are stone cold. And dried up. They are old and cold. Asked for some hot ones. Got them right away. Meaning they had hot fresh taters. Just didn’t serve them to us at first. Bad enough with all the above mentioned disasters, to top it all off. Not even a «sorry about that». At any time during these incidents was there a apology for their failures to serve. I can’t forgive a place of business that has such low standards for their customers. I won’t be back. They already closed their deli at Westfield. I wonder if the owner died and the family just doesn’t care about the business. Something is terribly wrong and it shows. The bagels were still good so I may stop and buy a couple to take home occasionally– but that’s it. That’s about it. Am I the only person who is dissatisfied with Dinks? Let us know.

Let me start by saying, I’m originally from NY and live in CT, so I have a strong sense of what a deli(or a bagel) should be. This isn’t it. But, the service was much better than others have stated. Could have been because I was there after 10 am. I had the ultimate breakfast sandwich and it was pretty good. Nothing special but better than a fast food joint.

I usually come to this place once per week on Saturdays for breakfast. Get substandard service 75% of the time. Can’t take it anymore, so not going to go anymore. It’s an insult to frequent a business with such poor service. Went in for just 3 breakfast burritos to go. Only one person in front of me in line. 20 minutes later, I asked if ready, person said they asked kitchen and it was coming up. 10 minutes later, I look behind counter and there they were just sitting there. Nobody called my number or thought to ask. Standing there in the middle of the store like an idiot holding a number in my hand for 30 minutes. Nobody cares, nobody manages, nobody expedites, and nobody pays attention. Do yourself a favor and go somewhere else.

This place has been in the valley for years. And like many of the places that were in the valley when there was no competition and it was the only thing in town people would go to it. Now when there is other restaurants in town, this place is a complete waste of time. The service is completely unfriendly. The food is basic and okay. How as a bagel shop can you run out of bagels? I still cannot fathom why people come here and this place has expanded into three shops.

We usually go to the other Dink’s at the Valencia Town Center but stopped in this one because it was convenient on that day. It was a weekday morning. This place has a small, neighborhood coffee shop type feel to it. The order line moved pretty quick and the girl behind the counter was very helpful and friendly. The inside was packed, but luckily, by the time we ordered and went to sit down, someone left so we took their table. They also have outdoor seating available. I ordered the blueberry pancakes, home fries and bacon and I poured myself a cup of coffee, which was really good by the way, probably the beat part of the meal. Then we sat and waited for our food. It also came out pretty quickly. But I must say I was kinda disappointed. First of all, the entire shop ran out of ketchup. They told us to look around at all the tables but all the bottles were empty. Then they said, «Oops, we forgot to order it so we have no more.» That was a bit odd. I guess they really are a small town coffee shop. Anyway, the food was adequate. To me, it is very difficult to disappoint with bacon. But I did not care for their bacon or sausage. It was tasteless and subpar. The blueberry pancakes were ok. The entire experience was meh. I might give them another try. Perhaps I caught them on an off day because it seems to be popular. But I’ll probably head back to their other location at the mall. I have much better luck there.

Sometimes, I just wander around my local area. I wonder what I’m hungry for, and then I get completely lost in a section of town I don’t really frequent all that often. Thankfully, I live in Santa Clarita, where this can’t really get dangerous. This particular adventure started after buying some cat food at the vet. I found myself in this shopping plaza and was intrigued by the copse of outside umbrellas sprouting from the tables in front if this place. People seemed to be smiling and enjoying their various breakfast items. I pulled into a comfortable spot, and hiked back to the front door. I was stopped just inside the front door by a line of people. I guess this place is popular! Good sign! As I stood in line, more people arrived behind me, and I struck up a conversation with one of them. She was quite amazed that I’d never been here. She scoffed at my normal breakfast plan of ‘Buy on get one coupon at Carl’s Jr.’ She said everything was good. That’s about the time I got up to the register, and looked up at the menu.(I know, people hate it when people do that) I decided quickly and chose the ‘ultimate breakfast sandwich’ not fully sure what it was, but I do like the idea of ‘ultimate’. I chose an onion bagel. As that sounded like it would go well with ‘ultimate’. On the way past the register, you get to walk past the cookie counter. So… being the easily persuaded/instant gratification person I am, I also asked for a rainbow sprinkles sugar cookie. I then thought a beverage would be nice. So I picked up an apple juice from the refridgerator conveinently located in front of my face. Cute girl rang me up, and I was away with a number, a cookie, and an apple juice. Total was thirteen dollars and change. I went outside to find a table to sit at. Before too long, my bagel sandwich was brought to me. It was indeed ultimate. After the obligatory Unilocal photo, I hungrily took a bite, and burned the be-jesus out of the roof of my mouth.(Careful, they’re pretty hot right when they’re delivered). I gave it some time to cool off, and continued eating the sandwich. It was quite tasty. The cookie was good, and the cold apple juice helped to alleviate the pain of my burnt mouth. So, it’s definately a pretty good place for breakfast, I’m glad I explored this end of Santa Clarita today. I’ll likely be back.

Dink’s has 3 locations in Santa Clarita, with this being the original. In general, the food is good at all 3 locations, but this one has the best prices. They have a weekday breakfast special that they don’t seem to advertise(I have yet to see it on their menu board). If you come in for breakfast M-F, be sure to ask for it. For $ 4.50, you get 2 eggs, bacon, home fries, and your choice of toast/bagel. Cream cheese is offered with the special at no extra charge, which makes the deal even better(normally adding cream cheese to your bagel would more than double the price). The service here is okay for what it is. I haven’t had any bad experiences with their customer service, but I haven’t had any exceptional ones either. For dining in, you order/pay at the counter, and then your food is brought out to your table soon after. A majority of their business seems to come from to go orders, as I have yet to see their dining area more than half full. One important thing to note is they do not have public restrooms here, which could pose a problem for any customers wanting to dine in. Overall, I would say that a 3 star rating for this place is fair. Their weekday special is what sets them apart, and the only reason I come here. They offer good meals, at a great price, with average customer service… Bathrooms not included.

I think they’re closer to a 3.5 but decided to round them down because the service was less than warm. Food I liked the food quite a bit and wouldn’t mind stopping by for another bagel. The bagel was perfect. I opted for an «everything» bagel and it was softer than other bagels I’ve had before which was a nice change. The«everything» bagel had great seasoning and tasted of fresh herbs. I tried their breakfast sandwich with egg, cheese, and sausage. I liked their sandwich because the eggs weren’t microwaved! Most places that make breakfast sandwiches that quick normally stick them in the microwave to save time which is why I was pleasantly surprised. I also added a side of home-fries which had bits of onion and bell peppers, giving it a nice homey taste. This breakfast(sandwich plus home-fires) came out to $ 8 which is a bit pricey for something so quick. Overall I liked it enough to come back. Tip Outside seating Small menu to read from They don’t leave ketchup packages out with the other self-serve items. If you want ketchup you’ll have to ask for it at the counter.
